@ JAK and other Glamily

This is Jessie Lynn, perhaps you remember me. Many kind people on this site helped me through a recent bad time. I want to let you know I am great, living with my aunt's family is wonderful and I've met many people who are listening to my confusion about my sexual orientation questions and being kind and helpful. My parents have no hard feelings about my leaving home and are happy for me, they are still dealing with their religious convictions but no pressure is on me. Adam was right, It Gets Better.

JAK, I'm sorry to hear you have had health issues, but I see from your posts on Sirius radio thread you are dealing with them humorously. I admire you greatly.
That's all, just wanted all you Moms to know I'm okay.
And isn't Adam dreamy on all these interviews? <3 <3

JAK here............Jessie, so glad to hear from you. Of course we remember you and rejoice in the fact that you had a safe happy place to go. There are many things to be confused about when you are 17, some people breeze thru those years, some struggle. The lucky ones get help. I think in time your parents will see that your orientation will not hinder you from having a happy life, that's what they are afraid of, that and allowing other people to think for them. If they believe in God they must believe that he loves all his children. Please speak up now and then and let us know how you are doing. College next year...lucky again, I wish I could start over and do those years again, they were GREAT! Keep an open mind and a loving heart.<3

@Jessie Lynn, So glad life is easier now and you're with family that loves you and understands. In time your parents may come to realize that gender identity and sexual preferences are not moral isues, but genetic differences. They will always love you and they're lifelong beliefs are difficult to change and is not always possible. Being honest with yourself and learning who you are is the most important first step. You are not alone and as you may be discovering, there are many like you with the same feelings and there is a large support system. So glad you are now in a positive place and we're so glad to hear from you. Hope you will regularly join us and be a part of this crazy group that is bound together by Adam, a beautiful, strong spirit that inspires all of us besides Hugs to you...

there's nothing better than when an artist can relate to his audience on a intimate level. It's great that he allows his fans into his world for awhile and talks to them like old friends. that is how it should always be.
