I wonder if these are demos as they don't appear to have the same finesse production that I can hear with the other snippets. I guess time will tell when we get the album in our hands in a few more days.

These are the three bonus tracks from the deluxe album and they are very short snippets. They will sound great in full I am sure. Love Nirvana and the other w have a bit more of a rock edge. So excited for May 15th!

oops mean the other 2, hit the wrong key.

I posted the lyrics to "Nirvana" on the previous thread but it seems appropriate to do the same on this thread..So beautiful...

I am in complete LOVE with this song..just from the snippet. It is mesmerizing, etherial and leaves me breathless..can hardly wait until we can hear the whole song..I can only imagine what effect THAT will have on me (fans self...)

NIRVANA

When the stars are too cold
Frozen over their glow
On the edge of the night
we can be their light

So give me more than your touch
Give yourself to the rush
Just keep holding my hand
As we're taking off
I know where we'll land.

We can escape to a higher plane
In Nirvana stay
Where the dreamers lay
I'll lay you down, lay you down
Safe on a higher plane
In Nirvana stay
Where the dreamers lay
I'll lay you down, lay you down

Through the dark there's a way
There's a love, there's a place
Where we don't have to hide
We can dream all night
So follow me through the sky
And watch the oceans collide
Just keep holding my hand
As we're taking off
I know where we'll land.

(chorus)
Oh we don't need any diamonds
or gold
Watch the mystic and cryptic
unfold as we fly high

I'll wait until I get my hands on the actual high quality album. I won't listen to snippets or streams on Internet. Real studio albums have way better sound quality. IMO it's selfish of others who have the album and for attention or whatever other reasons spoil it for others who are waiting to receive their own album.

I like "Runnin". Still favorites are Chokehold and Pop that Lock" and "Underneath" is breathtaking.

I like Nirvana, too, but think Shady should be the next single.

I have to save my opinion of these snippets until I hear the complete tracks to get the full effect. Maybe headphones would make a difference. Only one song on FYE didn't thrill me at first untill listening a few times and now I like them all with Music Again the exception. It just didn't stir me like the others, although I related to and liked the lyrics. I disagree with @3:02PM that anyone is selfish to post snippets or is spoiling it for others to gain attention. I actually think it is generous to share anything that relates to Adam, no matter what it is, as most are interested. You always have a choice not to watch, but for others it gives us a hint of what's to come and it's not the same as watching the completed track anyway. There also is no competition to who gets the album first. We'll all have it in due time. It's all good and I support all that are Adam fans, even if I don't always agree. I think we all want this album to blow up the airways and give Adam the respect and notoriety that he so well deserves.:)

@funbunn40 With first listen of FYE album, my least fav. song on FYE was WWFM and it ended up getting Grammy Nomination. We know in-time most of these tracks will have different feel after few plays. Also, Adam will give all these tracks a new meaning when he'll perform them live on stage.

I'm sure all these tracks sound much better on physical CD. I got myself the exclusive TP box set which comes with TP on vinyl. I have to find a turn-table to feel the music sound difference between CD and Vinyl. Before Adam I didn't even buy CD since the invention of MP3. Anyway, I can't wait for this 2nd era to unfold.

@5:44PM I think everybody on this blog know that we can pre-order Tresspassing on www.playdirec; amazon, Ithunes,amazon.uk.Unfortunately, we don't know how to order Tresspassing from Japan:(
Sorry, I know, I'm very pessimistic. But we can't pre-order 200,000 album like it was happened in 2009. Even, if somebody will pre-order 10 or 11 albums. I pre-order 12 albums

Trespassing album is #24 on Amazon up from the 40's this morning. hopefully by next week will be in the top 10!

5:42 do you need a special type player to play vinyl? Just curious because I ordered the vinyl from AO.

Anonymous said...

my least favorite on FYE was Aftermath and now the minute I get in my car I set my cd to track 12.

@anon 8:58PM Are you joking? This vinyl player is very different and very expensive! How old are you?

records (vinyl) are making a comeback, its not too hard to find players, you can buy them for as little as $30 on line.

@HK fan It depends from quality of these players. You can find TV for $100 dollars. But it doesn't mean that this is good TV

An article about vinyl records making a come-back:

"What goes around, comes around - vinyl records spinning again"

Excerpts from the article:

"Once the purview of bearded hipsters, DJs and audiophiles, vinyl is now being sought by music lovers of all ages and interests. That shift is not only reflected in the range of artists with LPs — think Adele, Bruce Springsteen, Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire — but also in the ways in which the albums are being packaged, with many accompanied by digital downloads."

“A CD should annihilate the technology behind vinyl but it doesn’t. It’s like a bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly but it does,” says Thorne, who lives in St. Albert, Alta. “I heard Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain on the radio yesterday and had to turn it off because the sound was so awful; At home, it’s unreal.”

Jack White suggests vinyl affords a more “reverential” experience than digital because listeners are less apt to fast-forward, skip, and click their way through an album. LPs, by contrast, are described by the noted musician as having “an inherent romance.”

I hope that Trespassing produces any number of single hits for Adam much as Katy Perry's latest album did for her. It seemed that every time you turned on the radio, she had another song released from her album. They both have the same mangagement team so they should pull out all the stops to promote his new album. From what I have heard of Adam's album, I really love all the songs, changing to another favorite as I listen to a new snippet or song being performed. If this album isn't a major hit for Adam, I don't know what is wrong with the listening audience out there. He has poured his heart and soul into the making of Trespassing and certainly deserves to see it become a mega seller and then a Grammy nominated album for 2012. Can't wait for May 15th.

For what it's worth here's my opinion ... snippets online remind me of the days (ancient now) when you could go to a record store .. scoop up a bunch of 'platters' & retire to a LISTENING BOOTH where you could review each record BEFORE buying it ... anyone else remember those days or am I the last dinosaur on the internet? .. LOL .. All the kids would leave school & converge on the soda fountain/ice cream parlor & then on to the record store to listen to the newest releases/songs ... home to do homework/chores/whatever ... call the DJs & REQUEST songs & dedicate them from yourself to whomever ... THEN actually HEAR your name to someone & the song got played right then & there!! My hope is that before I leave this 'here'n now' ... that concept will return & DJs will once again play what WE want to hear!! Meantime I'm good with snips to keep me happy until the CD arrives in the mail!! Sorry .. got a little carried away fellow Glamberts. So here's a url I found that has all the lyrics (clearly typed) for all 15 songs on TRESPASSING USA ...

@ tess4ADAM

Speaking as a fellow dinosaur you described my high school routine perfectly....dash out when dismissal bell rang, hit the soda fountain for a hot fudge sundae, then spend an hour playing all the new records in record store, then home for homework, dinner, dishes and hit the phone requesting my favorite DJ for something to suit my mood. The DJ's knew most of us by name and would make comments. If I requested a love song he'd say "look out guys, J.A. has a new crush!"

My daughters used to watch "Happy Days" and say "Mom, was it really like that?" I'd say "yes, we had Richies, Potsies, Ralphs and Fonzies." I dated the Richies, but dreamed about the Fonzies!"

Life was good!..

Thanks for the snippets with the last 3 songs of Trespassing (Deluxe). Can't wait to hear them in their completion! I think the next single Adam needs to release is "Naked Love". Shake them up, Adam and the press will love it! I saw him sing this live and it's so sexy ... with that little laugh!
PS Tess,I love your memories of time passed. I remember them well.
