Q. You are also guitarist and music director for Adam Lambert – that’s quite a title too. Where do you find the time?
A. Adam and I played together before he went on American Idol. He was the singer for my band Afterwards he asked me to play guitar in his solo [work]. We had some great times together. He has such a phenomenal voice. Things are going great for him right now and that puts a huge smile on my face.

I loved watching this interview. Adam looked so comfortable and seemed to be having a great time. The Canadians are great hosts too and I love them.

when MP talks it's all really about him (my band, etc.). I can understand the need to self-promote but seeing that awful BFM album with solely AL's under Trespassing in Best Buy is super irritating. It should have been named 'users'. I firmly believe that BFM and legal issues around that delayed TP getting out late last year. I think that then led to more time for other songs to be added to TP. He had 40- or so songs but had to distance himslef from BFM.

"Things are going great for him right now and that puts a huge smile on my face." All I seem to remember is his retort regarding Adams work on his second album as "second rate Katy Perry." This makes me chuckle every time. Open mouth...insert foot.

Adam Lambert is really such a nice guy; he is grounded and down-to-earth. Even though he has done so many of these interviews within the last few weeks to promote Trespassing, he is still as charming and personable as always. The Canadians really love and appreciate Adam, it seems even moreso than the US at times. He just seems so happy and focused on promoting the album. I hope that the numbers increase for its sale and that the radio stations start playing NCOE on their regular rotation. There are other performers who just blink and I hear their latest on the radio(John Mayer and Maroon Five/Adam Levine) and here is Adam Lambert promoting this new album through mini concerts and interviews, but NCOE is just not getting radio play. I just don't get it. He is the best vocal talent in music today and yet he seems to have to fight his way inch by inch to have his latest single played.

Can't believe that snarky comment Monte about Adam sounding like Katy Perry. Pretty nasty and so untrue. Monte has a busy, successful career. Don't know why he felt a need to say that.

When I read the radio play threads on AO, I get the feeling that NCOE is getting decent air time. Not as good as it should be, of course, but a lot better than BTIKM. I don't know what the problem is, either, considering Adam's obvious talent and the quality of the song. Radio stations have agendas that have nothing to do with quality of music, that's for sure.

Love the interiews, of course. Watched and listened multiple times.

Oh my goodness, what an absolutely fantastic interview! I smiled all the way through it, and I wish it had never ended. Such a joy to see and hear Adam in interivews. His Canadian fans adore him as all we Glamberts do.

MP made that comment about Adam and Katy Perry? he is so jealous and seems to want to take credit somehow for discovering AL. I understand that he wanted Adam to go rock instead of pop but he is hard to take. Not missing him w/ Tommy and Ashleigh playing in the band.

I can understand Monte if he prefers "Rock Adam". I prefer "Rock Adam" too and even though I like "Naked Love", "Cuckoo" and "Kickin' it" on Adam's second album, I am not really into "Pop Adam"... But I am going to buy the album anyway... Just to support him. Pop, Rock, he is the best male voice around...

Fabulous interview. One of the best and he looks so relaxed an happy. The Canadian leg of his promo tour went very, very well and hope the #1 sales continue now that Adam was able to do some promo in the country.

Monte may prefer "rock" Adam, but Adam put this album together and collaborated with some of the best in the music business. This is his journey, his story and as someone previously stated, the "rock edge" is still there. Adam has an amaaazing voice and can sing anything brilliantly. So who cares what Monte thinks; let him work with Madonna or anyone else. Adam has his new band members, the backup singers and they seem to work very well together. It's wonderful to watch these interviews and see Adam so happy, charming and confident. He seems to be in a good place both personally and professionally at this stage of his life.

I enjoyed every 37 minutes of this interview. Thanks Canada :) I had seen the Queen song guessing part before but not the rest of it. I tried to practice my French, but oh mine it was too quick ;) Easier to understand in written form s'il vous plait :)

But I certainly didn't enjoy when I educated myself about this unhappy old album situation. If some people like it, fine, but I don't like the idea that some people (who are not aware) might be mislead. It should tell clearly it's old material, not the current one. I put the biggest blame on the old record company, it's simply money-digging. I read about the lawsuit issue, so probably there was no legal right to prevent publishing? I hope it's not doing too much harm to Adam or TP. In Amazon there were so many customer reviews that everyone should now know what's it all about.

Adam and rock: I love his classic rock cover performances (especially WLL) and his own songs with rock beat, but he is so good at every genre he does! I like that he keeps all of them around (like doing things w/ Queen :) Not any genre is always good, the song has to be good! And I want power-vocals. Melody, vocals (artist's voice), emotion, that's my top3 what makes good music. If the lyrics are good, that's plus :)

I listened to that "past album" and for me it was too heavy rock, too raw. One song I liked, the one he performed in the Zodiac show (I've seen that video). But I rather watch that video...

Oh, to be in England: to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee, the Summer Olympics and, of course, Adam Lambert singing with Queen for those special concerts this summer. It's all happening there, but if I had a choice, it would be to see Adam. The other two events are/will be televised, but I suppose all the Adam fans will have to rely on videos of his performances to show up on this site or you tube. I am sure it will be spectacular and iconic in the realm of music. 2012 will certainly be a special year in Adam Lambert's life with the fame and success he so rightfully deserves.

Absolutely agree with you @ 11:29am. Adam was so well received in Canada with the crowds showing him so much love and support. You could see how happy he was and enjoying himself so much. I still have not heard NCOE here in the NYC/NJ listening area even though Adam did several mini radio concerts(one at 7:30)in the morning at the Jersey shore)to promote Trespassing. I just don't get it. There is so much garbage that is heard constantly in the daily play schedule, and yet nothing from the best vocal talent in music today.

Same here. I live in NJ outside NYC. Adam was ALL over the place. Radio stations were using and flaunting him for weeks to promote THEMSELVES. Still have not heard NCOE even once on the radio. The song could be a major summer anthem for young grads if they had the opportunity to ever hear it on the radio. Makes me sick as well! Thank you Canada for being far more in tune with talent vs just politics. Wake up America!

it sickens me as well that the dj's will not play NCOE..I just do not understand it..but I think they owe Adam's fans an explanation..another thing that got me fired up just now is reading on a site how awful it is that Adam, a 3rd rate singer from American Idol - who has never even heard of Queen - to be singing with them..what a joke...Adam is the BEST singer, and overall entertainer I have EVER witnessed in my lifetime..and I am 70 yrs old..er..young...

Wouldn't be too concerned about disparaging comments about Adam from other sites esp if its from MJs blog since it is full of idolberts who are so bitter that their idols have been dropped or are not doing good and they so want to downplay EVERYTHING that Adam does or celebrate in his downfall. Karma is real and Adam always wishes well for everyone and good things will continue happening for him esp internationally and as a fan I can say I will stick by him to the very end regardless of whatever.

Performing with Queen is an honor and really puts him on a huge platform plus it looks good for him as well as making him extra money. Its sad that the US radio stations were using his name for promotions since they know his Glamberts would come and support his concerts yet when all is said and done they do not play his music and this has been the case since FYE!!

Looking forward to his UK promotions, the UK media and critics are a bit snobbish and elitist esp when it comes to reality contestants but I think they will find Adam's good humor and honest and transparent nature refreshing!!!

Let's all pray in unison that Adam shall conquer UK this time around through all his gigis there, his own at royal albert Hall and at G-A-Y and the three nights with Queen at Hammersmith Apollo and not the least that he shall conquer the gay funnyman Graham Norton who has a fantastic show there with a very high audience ratings. I also heard Adam discussed briefly on a local news show. 2 men reporters and a female, they were teasing her cause she's an Adam fan. One of the guys said, "My wife and daughter are fans of his and they are encouraged because I like 2 of the 15 songs on Trespassing (Underneath and Outlaws of Love). Last album I only liked one, (Time for Miracles)." The other guy said "I like his wardrobe"........not much but it was positive! :)
