Would definitely make me a regular viewer again. Also add some real critiques once agin on the judging panels. IMO this is too good to be true.

They have been talking about Adam being a judge on AI, but have they been talking to/with Adam directly about becoming a judge on the show? Rumor or actually a true story? I would love to see a shakeup on the Idol panel; tired of hearing the same comments from Stephen and Randy and the syrupy, silly comments from JLO. Put a cute guy up there and she just gushes all over, baby. Adam set the bar so high during season 8 that for me the show has just gone downhill since then. On any of these so-called reality talent shows, how many individuals have really had a successful career. What happened to the girl who won the XFactor...Melanie? I don't even remember her name unfortunately. Adam's experience as a contestant should be a major factor in selecting him as a judge in addition to his stage presence, personality, honesty and confidence. It would certainly make the show worth watching again. But I don't want to see him give up on his solo career and promoting Trespassing and an eventual tour here at home.

I just want it to happen if that is what Adam really wants to do and that it would not interfere with his touring. I guess the exposure would be great and yeah seeing him every week, would be awesome!

Wouldn't mind seeing his cute face on Idol again every week. I think he would do a great job but don't want that to hurt his music making and appearances. He is already so busy. I'm thinking this might be a rumor too. ???

Would being a judge on Idol be good or bad for Adam??He WOULD get lots more exposure & more chances to sings his new songs from Trespassing( like JLO did;two new songs,I think)He couldn't tour much tho, could he?We'll see soon,I guess. If BB does it,he should be paid VERY well,I think.

Adam is right into his own career at the moment and even though Idol would be fun for him (and lucrative!) I worry it might overshadow everything else. He's tried to distance himself a bit from the Idol tag. And don't we want to see him do a tour??!!

He doesn't have an actual offer yet, so I guess we shouldn't get all crazy so soon. IF he gets a real offer, I think he'll take it. How could he not? It's one of the world's biggest TV gigs. Others would kill to have it. Others have melded their performing schedules with their AI resposibilities. I know we want Trespassing to get to the top! I just don't think he'll turn it down if it REALLY gets offered to him.

DRG (Love the video of him signing for the fans!)

Whatever Adam decides is fine with me.

@2:32PM. I agree with you and Adam is extremely qualified to judge and mentor. He also has had years of professional vocal training and can sing any genre creatively and authentically. He also has gained valuable perspective and experience, especially since traveling the world entertaining since Idol. Adam has a strong, responsible work ethic. I think he could tape Idol and still create his next tour which is still in the future. I would love to see him interact and really help the contestants week after week. Adam knows every aspect of idol and he would actually give sound advice without destroying their self worth. I'd be watching every week!

I was watching the livestream (I believe it was) and actually HEARD him say in response to the question "Have you actually been in talks with American Idol": he responded something like "I can't say whether or not I have been in talks, but IF and only IF this opportunity were presented to me, I'd be honored..."

A chance to see Adam week after week...OMG!!!

well if he can perform new singles as much as J Lo, then love to see it happen. not sure even he can save the show but folks would tune in for sure. he seemed surprised to hear about it...he will have so many offers he can be choosy.

Adam certainly proved he can keep news close to the chest in several ways...appearance on Idol, tour with Queen, etc. I would become a regular Idol watcher again should this happen. The show has become a total bore!

About time some one wised up.I think he would bring in the viewers and be a compitant judge.

First of all ... I think Idol should return to a SINGING competition (sans musical instruments) ... enough WGWG winners. It's time for a FEMALE to step up & win also. ADAM would be an extremely welcome addition to Idol. Even without any singing on his part ... he is so articulate & eloquent I could listen to him talk all day. This is something I would definitely need to curb my craving (ADAM twice a week) ... I'm all for it ... IF ... ADAM decides to do it .... it's HIS career so HE is the BOSS!! ...JMO

On E! news tonight, they talked about Adam being a possible judge on Idol( several times).I haven't heard any news about the Adam & Queen concerts,on any entertainment shows here in the US yet.Have any of you? This just shows that the Idol rumor( or whatever it is)is getting lots of attention already.

Although I would like this to be true, BOTH Adam AND Nigel have denied that this is true. If Jennifer left, she would be replaced by another female.

Just saw on CNN a clip interviewing Nigel Lythgow responding to the question whether he had been in talks with Adam re Idol judge and he said "No, he had not been in talks with Adam" and that there would be many names tossed around for discussion for the Idol judge spot. Things are up in the air right now. So, who knows if there will be an actual offer. Adam seemed surprised to hear the rumor, didn't he? This Idol judge thing sure created huge media attention for Adam!

I DON'T KNOW IF IT'TRUE OR NOT BUT IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO SEE HIS BEAUTIFUL FACE A COUPLE OF TIMES A WEEK AS LONG AS IT WOULDN'T INTERFER WITH HIS CAREER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adam is on The Insider shortly!! They already showed a brief clip!!

OMG No! If the Us want to put Adam in the cornball box then go for it!
Sure he'll bring those dragging ratings up again, but what about ADAM! He is in a new realm, an international star, loved, accepted and adored AND his in a league far superior, embraced by Queen, Elton and many other iconic legends...and they want to put him in a reality TV show! Sure the US will love it, ADAM the boy next door, and he'll be seen every week on TV but who in heavens name would want to bind Adam that way. He's a free spirit no matter how much money the whole ordeal will make....and it's all about money
and not ADAMs interest. How bloody selfish is that! Hoping this is a rumor.

When Adam gets to the age of Steven Tyler maybe this could work but hells bells thats one heck of a way off right now.

@2:53pm TOTALLY agree with you @7:21 right maybe when he's 60 . Not Now . TOUR? Every week I would see him on Idol I would just want him to sing and that wouldn't happen if he was a judge.

Adam, make them wait, make them beg. Don't let them use you for their ratings. All you ever wanted were your lasers on AI and after you left every song was extra produced because the talent couldn't compare to yours.

Tell em maybe next year but right now you are singing for the world and for the fans that truly love you.

Here's where I first got wind of this. It's the Rolling Stone article on this topic.

He still needs to promote his album, but I would certainly be tuned in to see him every week, twice. Any chance I get would be fine with me, but next we'll hear he's taking the place of Regis on Live with Kelly and whoever.

I think Adam would just as well serve this show as a mentore or just singing. He has his own music to promote at this time of his career. He is still growing as an artist and I think they should have 3 regular judges and a guest judge. That I would be in favor of. I think this job is more for seasoned(more time on your hands) folks. To soon for Adam! He is just beginning. I admit I would love to see him on Idol but that would be truly selfish on my part!

I don't like this idea, even tho I know he'd make a great judge and give a lot of ppl a reason to watch the show. That doesn't mean the show would be saved tho, the concept is getting OLD and boring.

I think right now he should keep promoting his music internationally and go on AI only to perform or maybe mentor again if the theme somehow fits.

If Adam got the offer for AI---it sure would not hurt his career, more people would be exposed to his music and he would certainly gain new fans! BUT, I am selfish and would like to see him do a "Trespassing " tour. Whatever Adam decides to do is definitely his choice and I would support him either way--love him and his music and would watch AI again---I have not watched since Season 8; Adam is the ultimate IDOL!!!!
