Someone has said that Fox lost 171 Millions in ad revenues this year due to the low ratings of Idol although it still holds the claim to be the No.1 show. That's whuy JLo announced she may not come back because already she was told it was losing money. I believe they lost more audience because the judges have become cheerleaders making Standing O so cheaply it has no merit anymore. How many times did Simon give Standing O? I guess only for Mad World.

Life is but one long learning journey; we see it clearly with Adam. Being an AI judge is another big learning door, hopefully to be opened to Adam. Like he has said, he learns best on the job as opposed to being stuck in a lecture auditorium. Now this learning stint is a lot more lucrative and beneficial in terms of monetary gains in sales and pay cheques from Idol; probably in the tune of millions. Adam...Grab it! But Idol must not take advantage of the fact he is young and overboard-eager about the situation. He is one helluva super worker and always gives more than asked for; we have seen this in his AI performances. He gave his all though sometimes it looked so smooth and easy for him. That's his God-gift which AI should capitalise on to improve their show. As for the Trespassing tour, well it'll be done at his own opportune time. Probably to him it may be less learning because he pulled off GlamNation with gusto! And that's why Adam wants this AI judge job so badly; to satisfy his hunger-driven mind, adventure to grapple something new, fresh by the horns; that will help him further scale his steep mountain climb to reach his summit; and plant that flag that says...I did it again! That's the spirit, essence and drive of a super artist. :)

IMO this would be too good to be true. I would once again start watching Idol every time it was on. Adam would make a perfect judge. He has the background and is articulate, funny and spot on. These current judges while bringing some flash and glam to the table just don't cut it as judges...they bore me senseless. Sorry!

I think Nigel pretty much said no here.

Adam's too young & he has better things for him than to be a judge on BORING AI!!!

Adam do your thing , be creative & be HAPPY!!!
AI needs you to bring ratings up but you are just starting your amazing music career, tours around the world, Sing, & Perform!!!
You ar just FABULOUS & too young to just sit in the studio to judge:(

IMO AI is not boring. He will travel all over the US and travel by TV all over the world. The other judges managed to make mv's, movies, commercials, TV appearances, magazines, design clothes while being idol judges and Adam can too.

This Adam Idol judge rumor has well and truly gone viral! My Twitter feed is overloaded with tweets about it.

Lam-my, you put it beautifully. Thank you - I couldn't agree more. :)

Thanks for the skinny, Nigel. No surprise they are still in the planning stages. My guess is his name has been thrown out there to hear public reaction.

I totally agree, I think Adam's name was leaked to the media to get reaction from it..So far, its been great...But who knows, I just love all the attention he has been getting from it...

To put Adam on as a new judge, they would have to eliminate either Randy or Stephen as one of the male judges. And if any one of the three want more money, forget it. They were not worth what they got paid last season. They make the millions and yet Jessica as the runner-up received hardly anything. I would love to see Adam on tv every week. He is articulate, knowledgeable, charming and has been there as a contestant. He is current with a new pop album. But will it fit into his schedule, his career plans and would it be beneficial in the long run? These are all factors that Adam and his team have to consider.

I really don't know how I feel about this whole AI judge thing. I can see pros and cons.

HOWEVER... after seeing the tons on nasty and hate filled comments about Adam on the People website (which is widely seen) I HAD to leave a positive comment.

Everyone should leave a positive comment about him there even if you think he is too good or too busy for AI!! (You could say that in your comment if you wanted to.) Makes me sad that people will think this is how Americans feel about Adam. The good needs to outweigh the bad!

I think this would be a bad move for Adam's career. He needs to focus on entertaining, not judging. This would take up 6 months of his year. The only pro I see would be the money he could make.I also read the list of people considered as judges. It's as if they wrote down every name in entertainment..They may as well have added M J and Elvis to said list. The US media should be ashamed that this has caught fire and being reported everywhere and the fact that he is headlining Queen in a series of fantastic concerts seems to be going unnoticed.I am a huge Adam fam but I want CONCERTS!!!!(and yes we do see AI in New Zealand!)

speculation creating conversational buzz....Adam is smart and will make the right decision for himself if approached. Who are we to say what is right or wrong for him? It's his journey.

When this "news" went as a main topic on AOL, so many posts were horrible. It is disgusting. The main frame doesn't know what Adam is really like. He would be fantastic as a judge, but I think that AI is on the way out.
