It will be a very bad mistake for American Idol to have thrown Adam Lambert's name into the mix and then to not hire him when he has eagerly stated that he would love the opportunity. Hell hath no fury like a Glambert scorned. American Idol beware!

If Keith Urban is on the panel along with Mariah and NM, will they add a 4th judge? It did not seem to work the last time they tried it...too much time spent commenting. However, if it is Adam, I would be so happy as I am sure he would be. Somehow, I just don't see a panel with Urban and the two women as being compatatible. Urban seems low key and the women are all hair, boobs and diva-like in attitude. It could be a disaster, but you never know. Recently these singing shows are all about the judges with their huge salaries and less about the contestants.

the other singing competition shows have four judges..so this may be a possibility for Idol..I agree with Keith sitting next to the two divas with their boobs and hair..he could get crushed..lol

I liked it when Idol had on four judges.

Burning Man started today and ends Sept. 3rd..so Adam may be attending that...makes sense..in any event, we will find out soon enough

my gut tells me that he's going to Burning Man (even tho he has been there recently)..maybe he just needs to go to re-charge..the most prudent thing we can do is just accept that our hopes and dreams will prob not come true..sigh indeed...

I don't think Adam is at Burning Man. Going there takes lots of preparation. Rumor last year said that it wouldn't be back this year, but I guess it is. He and Sauli did it already. I think they're done. I liked the AI judge article link. Makes good sense for once. I posted a comment.

Glad to hear from you. Not sure I agree about Burning Man...kinda think it's a "been there, done that" scenario for Adam, but honestly who the hell knows at this point. All the talk and speculation about Idol, Queen, new single etc., it's hard to keep up with it all in my brain....so I'm letting go and just gonna sit back and wait.

I thought we were suppose to hear today about idol? or is it this week? Anyone know! The suspense is killing me. All articles have defiently nicki (yuk) and keith, hoping for that 4th judge spot as ADAM? or is there a 4th spot (I think there is)

I hope that when the announcement comes, if Adam is not chosen the Glamily will take the news, outwardly at least, with dignity. We had to live down a reputation of going berserk at any hint of bad news for Adam. We don't want to embarrass him.

You know he will take it like the gent he is. We need to do likewise, no ranting and screaming "I'll never watch that show again!" I won't but will keep that to myself and just cry into my pillow. Be Calm and Carry On.

I hope we hear something this week about Adam being the judge. I can't take much more waiting. I was over it until he announced he was waiting for the "Green Light", now it is making me nuts again. Please let us hear one way or the other about it this week. If he doesn't get it, I won't lie, I will be mad, because I know he wanted it. But we will hold our heads up either way!

I wonder if they're doing a re-vamp of the show. Four judges, maybe. A change in the process. Idol needs something new besides new judges. Maybe there WILL be room for Adam on it somewhere.

@10:59- that is a good point and you are right. We must contain ourselves. What will get me so pissed off is not adam getting the spot it's nicki m winning it over adam. I know myself if she's on and adam's not- I won't watch after all these years- the best way to get back at idol (so to speak) is thier ratings (that's ALL that matters to them. Of course Nicki will be blamed but I think it will be because adam wasn't there. Time will tell. Should be interesting!

I'd rather hear Adam sing than judge so I hope he gets some mentoring role on AI. NM is very popular and I think the fact that AI is considering her signals that AI is finally admitting that pop music has changed. How many songs have someone singing a pop song and then someone raps? Few people can do both like NM. Will people who can do both be the next winners?

I'm sure there will be 4 judges if there are two ladies signed this time.
Besides, Idol is already 2 hours every competition night why they had duets last season for filler.
I have no doubt Idol save the BEST for last to come down with a BIG BANG!

I was like you, over it until he said he's waiting for the green light.
But again, as far as I know ADAM, he will not even raise the hopes again of his fans or say he's still waiting IF he is not sure he is definitely in.
Even if he was asked during the interview, he would just say he was considered BUT may not be in it.
He would already let it die down.

I think we need to stick a fork in our hopes of the Idol gig for Adam..it bums me out like I cannot tell ya..but it is what it is..and with any luck we will see our boy doing more exciting things in the near future..how about that tour??? and just maybe, he will get to perform on Idol..I will be surprised if Idol comes back next year..I think its' time in the sun has come to an end with this season..

I have been watching The Voice Australia. Keith Urban is a judge on that along with local Auzzie Delta Goodrem (beautiful Voice) Seal and Joel Maddern from Good Charlotte. I like them all. Seal does seem a little bit dare I say it, creepy. Keith tho is great judges well and is very watchable.
However I want our Adam up there and haven given up hope yet. Come on Idol announce already. !!!

American Idol didn't throw Adam's name into the mix. They very quietly decided to interview him and Adam decided to make it public. They have paid him a big compliment.

No Glamberts scorned except in their own minds. I am embarrassed by all the out-of-touch comments on this subject.

We can hope and pray and know that Adam is under consideration. If we shit all over Idol for doing what they feel they need to do, Adam will never be considered again.

Adam is doing a concert at a club this weekend. It sounds as though he is performing with another person so it may be cabaret-style. At any rate, if Burning Man is this weekend, Adam won't be there.

I agree with 10:59 - all the threats of impending anger if Adam doesn't make it is exactly what might give Idol second thoughts.

Do you really think they want to deal with our drama every week over whether he got enough face time and who might have snubbed him, accidentally or otherwise? It is Idol's intention to keep it about the CONTESTANTS.

OT - @Jadan NZ - I love Good Charlotte. Saw them and Yellowcard last year here in LA and both groups were beyond awesome. Agree with what you said about Seal - to me he comes across as an egotistical asshole. Have always liked Keith Urban. Always wondered about Heidi Klum being with him? (Seal, not Urban). . . Adamluv

dol IS supposed to be revamping, thus the possibility of adding (Adam?). He also could certainly go to Burning Man. Doesn't have to go for the whole time but I assume he would be quite tired with the time zone change and all. I remember Sauli talking on his blog about how much he enjoyed Burning Man. As far the AI. Did you all see the slip up in the interview by Adam? It sure looked like a cover up to me. But what do I know?! I hang on his every word!

The re-vamping Am Idol needs is a new voting system. It's suppose to indicate the nationwide popularity of each contestant, not who can beat the system! Has our country completely discarded the idea of playing fair?

I watched The Voice Australia too and while Keith Urban was very nice and watchable, he sat on the fence a lot and didn't critique contructively. However, if they want a c&w judge, Keith is probably their man because he seems to sing more country rock than mainstream country. I think Nicole Kidman did well when she married Keith.

Adam didn't mention Idol first. His name came up in an article way back in the middle of July from a newspaper article from a source close to Idol.
When Adam was asked about Idol rumours, he never said anything apart from he'd love to do it until that interview last week in Australia.

@drg, I reckon they will go with 4 judges this year to be like the other shows. And 2 years ago the final line up wasn't announced until well into september. Maybe Idol will make the announcemnt just befor x factor starts to take some of the spotlight off them.
