did the band fly in too? You might as well keep our guy busy while he is there China.

Can anybody tell me where the former drummer is (forgot his name). Is this guy a new regular?

I get CCTV every day but not aware of talk shows. We'll probably get to see some of it here. Any way Adam on China TV is tremendous exposure for Trespassing.

FYI, here in AZ, I never hear Adam on the radio but I hear him streaming in the super market and at home depot. I have decided that the industry just can't figure out what to do with one of the greatest voices/looks/performers of our times. On top of that, the man (Adam) is intelligent, articulate, respectful but REAL. The industry is so used to dealing with mediocrity that it hasn't made a place in the pop world for much excellence. I don't know how this oversight will be resolved but I wish they would hurry up so we can hear more Adam on the radio, etc., etc. Beverly

10:18 I heard Isaac will be touring with his original band and the present drummer is temporary. Brian held auditions for a new drummers on Sunday.

Adam's loved by the World!!! They know the real deal:):):)

Isaac (Carpenter) is a drummer for a couple of other bands..(gotta eat and pay the rent!) and is currently getting ready to tour the UK in Oct/Nov with Loaded, the band fronted by Duff McKagan, formerly of Guns and Roses and Velvet Revolver, headquartered in Seattle. Isaac has been with the band since 2009, predating his time with Adam. Seems there was a problem with conflicting dates..No one so far has said one way or the other if this is temporary or permanent. Guess we'll see...

WHY DO ADAM KEEPS THESE BACKUP CREATURES ON THE STAGE WITH HIM?????
They are disccusing! Thanks, Lord, they don't sing so loud anymore! Actually, I think Adam doesn't let them sing as much as it was during summer promotion concerts!
Adam, we know you are golden heart person. But, please, send them home. They don't belong to stay in the same stage with you.

I still remember carrying my moon-festival lantern as a child. I used to like this aeroplane lantern, but the lit candle got blown out all the time because it was too open and shallow. So the following year, I changed it to a big colourful paper ball lantern, completely closed up! lol! The candle-flame never gave trouble again. lol! :)

Praying Grammy has already enough and challenge mediocrity.
Time for them to acknowledge true original talent and creativity.
Hoping and praying Grammy shall not be deaf nor blind to those who truly are deserving to be recognized as ADAM.

Sharing comments from another blog:

“The Chinese version of The Voice is hugely popular on China so that will be great exposure. A friend of mine that lives in China said her office mates are obsessed with The Voice & are excited to see ADAM.”

“What's significant this time is that LAMBERT's visit is part of a much larger industry-wide push to get a toehold in mainland China. Right now, the entire music market in China is just $67 million and there's a 99% piracy rate for recorded music, but everybody wants into this market.

How the major labels or anybody else in the music biz intends to make money in China is a big unknown (they've supposedly gotten Baidu to link less to illegal download sites, fwiw), so don't look for huge album sales coming out of this trip.

It's fun for LAMBERT, interesting exposure, and part of an industry movement where success depends on forces beyond any one artist's control. I'm sure he'll do a great job and get a positive response, or he wouldn't be going in the first place.

It's that nobody is super-clear on the payoff for trying China, right yet.”

10:51, I have tried to stretch my imagination to account for why Adam has chosen those two girls as his back up but I must now agree with you. They are just too distracting and unfashionable looking. I mean, what's with those leotards 24/7 and why aren't their gestures in unison? Is anybody dressing and choreographing for them? And what's so cute about them that Adam thinks they should come down front and trip around the stage? I asked some of my friends what they thought of Adam's back-up singers and they all think that the way those girls dress and perform is not up to the level of Adam's show. Beverly

Well he not going all that way for nothing, I am sure RCA or Sony whatever knows what going on. He not going there that very long way for just air fare, he is getting paid. Yes and for sales and exposure. If there are over 400 million line, I would think it gonna end up being seen in other countries other than china. Maybe will trend world wide, so that should lead to some good sales, over all. Certainly should help. Guess staying a while to promote. I am sure that show will have live steams are whatever that will lead to sales, in other places than China. Hopefully there are a few honest people in China ad well. It will be seen by more than China on Line! That was I have been told there are more than 400 million on line, made mistake typing.

I do think the back up singers try and dress a bit better. yes Adam always look great. but let's face it Adam is making substantially more bucks than them. There not that bad, Adam does not have a bad ear, he likes them. Honestly only care about him on stage period. maybe Adam could spring for at least one pretty top a piece. Maybe he has with those big sleeve pieces that look good on them. Honestly they are not bad. I kind of like them. Like I said, I just care for Adam. Let's face it everyone's singing pales to Adam's. I am just not going to be mean to them, because mean hurts. Sue

thanks for the pics HK fan, that one picture made Adam's hair look ten feet tall. lol

ok does anybody know what Adam is going to be doing on this show yet? He looks so cute sitting there amongst everyone. I hope he is getting to stay at his favorite hotel of all time in Shanghai. This is alot of fun following this.

I bet he is going to perform, maybe judge too , if there any judging left to do. I don't know any more than anyone!

I personally love the back up singer girls, there's a lot to look at and they're fun, courageous and they also eliminate any need for extra dancers :)

A Very Good Choice!
Thanks, Adam!

click to enlarge the bottom one. Love the jeans and white shoes. Looks like he's using the house band.

re the VJJ's. I know its not a popular opinion, but I am still not impressed with them. Everynow and then they still sound too loud and off, like on the recent Outlaws of love from DC, when they sang that line at the end it was really rough, and they always seem to sound off in naked love. I just don't find their voices mesh very well with Adams, whereas the male backup singers in London blended beautifully.and yes a couple of new flattering items of clothing would be nice....and this is a comment coming from a larger lady myself!!

Anonymous said...

All the whiners about the backup is outrageous.

Just be supportive to Adam and everything will be delicious to watch!!:)

Don't forget to look in the mirror first before you judge ok?????:)

I have to agree w/ comments about backup singer outfits in person at 930 club. the outfits are not flattering and why would someone wear skin tight outfit that shows everything. Sorry, it's not a good look at all. Not to mention how unhealthy it is to be this overweight.

Anonymous said...

PS, not whining about the backup singers but keeping it real. I saw them in person at the 920 club. The singing seemed fine, but the fashion was not fine. perhaps this is a plan to make Adam stand out even more.

Anonymous said...

Thanks HK fan for the link to all the pics of Adam. He sure looks like a Rock Star or should I say Rock God.

I don't mind the back up ladies, I just wish that when Adam is dressed in a very classy suit they would wear something a bit looser and more complimentary to what he is wearing and I think that goes for the whole band. At the DC function Adam looked amazing in his suit and the rest looked like a rag tag bunch. I think different looks for different occasions is the way to go. When they performed on Idol they were all coordinated and the ladies looked good in their robes.

The latest news is Adam will perform Trespassing and then also duet with a glambert contestant, WWFM! Whoa, sooo lucky, that glambert contestant is going to be famous. Adam is also a guest judge on The Voice of China finale! It's Adam's time to shine! Yea! :)

I think this Voice of China finale will rake in millions of viewers and Adam will capture their attention because many already know Adam from the previous Shanghai gig. He looks super; his black/silver hair matches his overall attire especially the jeans.

I don't understand why we have to praise the back up singers and Tommy, when everyone else (the adults) get normal reaction from fans. Tommy is emotionally disabled. He clings to Adam and the Adommy action. I don't like the leotards the women are wearing on stage.

Anonymous said...

I do look in the mirror fairly often as it happens, hence the comment about being a larger lady myself.

What is so wrong about a group of adults being able to have a discussion and give their opinion on a subject without having someone jump down their throats everytime we don't agree with them.
Yes we are all on this blog because of our love of Adam, that doesn't mean we have to love every single thing he does, says, wears or chooses to sing for him etc etc.
You love the backup singers, fine, that is totally your perogative. It doesn't make my opinion any less valid. Each to their own.

Anonymous said...

As a BIG girl myself, I'd like to take Keisha and Reyna shopping. The black leggins are okay, but they should have an assortment of tops----all of which should have sleeves and be long enough to cover the belly, butt and crotch! Tunic style not form fitting. You can buy them in fabrics that don't wrinkle at all and could easily fit in one bag for tour traveling.Reyna in that body suit is an object of ridicule, why does she do it, why does Adam not care?
With a stylist on hand for Adam when he wants them, why don't they do something about the girls? I include Ashley who dresses like a hooker and the shaved head is distracting. And Brian looks like he's been out mowing the lawn. Tommy, well I give up, why does a nice looking young man want to look like a freak?

Rock bands frequently look grungy, but they are not a rock band, I agree wwith the comment that they looked nice for the appearance on Idol, a little more of that please.
Adam's a class act whether he is in jeans and tee or smart suit, they need to clean up.

We don't even know if any of the band are going to China yet.BB could just use back-up track music for singing"Trespassing"...or a Chinese( or partly Chinese band (in Shanghai???)ALSO,HE MAY JUST take Brian w/him.Who knows yet?It would be so expensive to fly the whole band over there for prob. one song.As far as the back-up singers go,if they wear those robes with the black and gold stripes..they look lots better.Adam O never tells us much anymore,do they?would be nice if we got all his schedule there( even if it's subject to change)BB will LOVE shopping over there,& maybe in Hong Kong, too.

I sure like Adams white shoes, he has incredible footwear and I believe he is styling himself lately and it is just fine.
However, a stylist is needed for the band members. Ashley, I think is the only one that has a unique style and I kind of like it..I just find her persona a bit bland, particularly when Adam introduces the band she could be more responsive.

I agree with the lady who wants to take the girls
shopping; loose tops please. I actually find Reyna
inappropriate in her bodysuit.

First of all, 7:25, What????

I am so happy to see the incredible buzz for Adam in China. They really love him. And it looks like he'll be performing and judging on the show. Since it's not a full concert, I kind of doubt that his whole band is there with him. He's only singing one or two songs????

I am disheartened by the fact that this visit may not translate into bigger sales for Adam. The Chinese are notorious for downloading music illegally. It's rampant in China. I know we have some Chinese Glamberts on this site, and of course, they are aware of this phenomenon in China. BUT, the exposure for Adam will be huge and that's a good thing.

As for the back-ups, I have no problem with "big" girls, and I think their personalities are fine. Adam interacts with them in a fun way. But, I agree that more flowing clothing that MOVES with the music would be more pleasing to watch. They are not unattractive women. They have worn a matching flowing outfit with big sleeves that I really like. I hope that the TP tour will have them more orchestrated and polished. As for Ashley and Tommy, they want to look edgy, and they do. The LAST thing I want Adam's band and singers to look like is an "old" untrendy bunch. They have a myriad of looks and styles among them. I think it's going to take shape over time. And BTW, I like them all, regardless of what they wear.

Anonymous said...

Regarding the outfits, and appearances of the band, all girls included, Adam is all about being yourself. I can't imagine Adam judging how Tommy or any of the girls "look". Adam has been judged his whole life and he well knows how it feels to be judged. Adam is about what you are in the inside - not just the outside. He knows his fans understand this. As far as the back-up singers singing, no one would know their ability better than Adam himself.
Just my opinion.
nancdruuu2

You can still be yourself in appropriate clothing. Audiences judge entertainers and therefore there is a certain responsibility
if you want an audience. The idea of everyone doing their own thing is fine, but if you are turning off an audience, you will be doing your own thing to empty theatres.
There is such a thing as respecting your audience.

In case anyone is interested ... ADAM is not oblivious to what is said/commented on these blogs. It is okay to remark about the appearance of his band/singers but is it REALLY necessary to be so JUDGEMENTAL in your critiques of them?? You're all beginning to sound like JOAN RIVERS 'wannabees' to see who can be the MOST hurtful & to hell with it if you give a damn attitudes!! As for me ... I'm off to more pleasant duties like VOTING & I have found other sites that post the same info WITHOUT the hurtful comments!! Have fun all!!

Appearances are important, especially now with Adam rising to the top of his career and gaining a reputation for being an International Super Star. I personally love the girls, but Adam has such a great sense of style himself and the rest of the band members should be willing compliment his style. It's not a matter of being hurtful, and I'm sure Adam would be more than capable of approaching his band in a diplomatic way regarding this subject, it's no different to any other job, where you have a certain dress code, my work-place is a little more conservative so I need to be mindful of this, certainly I understand that the entertainment industry is different where fashion is extremely important but this needs to be incorporated with good taste. Adam's performance on AI earlier this year was a perfect example of how fashion and good taste can blend together extremely well,on this occasion they did look like a first class act.

Anonymous said...

my goodness what a lot of negativity here. i'm sure if Adam didn't like what the girls were wearing he would say so. why are people attacking them and Tommy. geesh people back off. my heavens get a life and stop. Adam doesn't like all the negativity online as he has said many times. SO STOP ALREADY. nothing positive to say-then don't say anything at all.

Anonymous said...

I have never said anything in a comment that I wouldn't say to Adam's face. In a polite way of course.

Anonymous said...

@ 11:52

If we did what you suggest every thread would be the same. "He had me at Mama" He's gorgeous" "he has the best voice in the world-ever" "he set the bar so high no one can ever reach it" "He's gorgeous" "He's the best entertainer in the world" "He's articulate" "He's gorgeous" "It isn't fair that he's not at the top of the charts" "It isn't fair that he hasn't won a Grammy" He's the best that ever was" and did I mention he's gorgeous?"

Someone could just write that at the top of every thread and then no one else would have to bother to repeat it endlessly. Do I agree with these statements, you bet, but I'm sick of hearing the same thing over and over.

I do appreciate people discussing other things and giving their honest opinions even if they are critisisms. And can't we have some original thoughts, must everyone parrot what's been said a thousand times?

Aww forget it!

We are all entitled to our opinions here about Adam whether they are the same as others or in disagreeement with someone else. But they should be stated respectfully and thoughtfully. I know we sincerely care about Adam, his career and his well-being so what we say is towards that purpose. I appreciate all the videos that are shown on this blogsite; otherwise, I would have no idea as to what is going on with Adam and his career. We don't seem to hear his songs on the radio and there isn't much reported in the entertainment news, so this is the place to come to find out what is happening. I find him to be so talented that I want to hear him perform as often as possible. I don't know if I ever will have the chance to see a live performance at a concert so for me these videos are the next best thing. And whether it's the color of his hair the band members, the backup singers or anything else, Adam seems to know what he is doing and if it doesn't work, he will change it.

Frankly I think Adam always lives what he strongly believes in and not just say it. So believing in not curbing freedom of artistic expression, in whatever sense, as far as possible, Adam will not try to dictate his opinions and thinking on others; unless it's something related to his own self expression; then he has every right to stamp his mark on it. This he has learnt the hard way when his employers/music producers often told him to say things the way they wanted it or as Adam has often said even telling him how and where to stand on stage...that's really dumb, lol! And the one he was most pissed off by, was he was reprimanded for wearing nail polish at rehearsals. So Adam is now the boss and he refuses to do or think, what he was done to. Personally I have no qualms whatsoever with the backup singers; they do have lovely voices. Another reason why I have no qualms, may be I can't even take a second off Adam when he performs. lol! I think that is the main reason. lol! :)

Oh forgot to add...I like Brian London a whole lot. He has rhythm, music running through his veins, blood, soul. And the way he bounces, as he sweeps his fingers across the keyboard and also sings along with Adam; that's a real well-honed professional musician. :)

Anonymous said...

Being told where to stand and what to say was when he was in stage plays and every actor has to do as the director says. After several years of theater, Adam found he didn't like it and he was still in the chorus or understudy, not getting starring roles but he wasn't being mistreated, every actor takes orders from the director. Adam just wanted to break free from the restrictions of the theater discipline and do something different.

Anonymous said...

In stage plays or musical theater, you are always told what to do, what to say, how to say, where to stand. It's the same thing every time, every performance. That's not dumb.
Although ADAM's original ambition is to just be in theater, I guess the Idol experience showed him he can let flow his creativity into his performances especially he loves to improvise every time in the way he delivers the tune.
It's more of who he is, a free spirit, rather than the same repetitive act/tune every theater performance/song.
And the different ad libs he brings to the same song every performance is why I love him, always a delight.

Anonymous said...

Okay, maybe I used the word, dumb, a little too loosely and I do have great respect for directors. They too are well-honed artists. A more experienced director might just allow the actors a little more freedom on their stage performance. From what I gathered of what Adam said...he did love theatre a lot but from his tone, I also sensed he felt at times it was stifling; considering he had been acting since the age of ten.

The Chinaberts really love Adam; so much so he looks so at home there. One Chinese fan ties a black-yellow Trespassing tie around Adam's neck. It seems they even made a special crystal mic stand for him. And they presented him a scroll of colourful calligraphy that reads, Adam loves Sauli. That is acceptance alright. I bought four of this kind of calligraphy scrolls when I visited China, many years ago. Still have them. The brush-stroke words have special meanings. It seems Adam is bound for China again in December for a concert. Also waiting for the WWFM duet he did with a glambert contestant on Voice of China. :)

But he doesn't have Adam's power to drive the high notes, like the way Adam does. Knowing Adam, he always puts other people first before himself.
