Adam Lambert has officially endorsed President Obama! This election is very important, especially for social issues. If you are able to vote, please vote for Obama. Tell your friends and family members to vote too!
In case I hadn't been direct, I am voting for OBAMA
— Adam Lambert (@adamlambert) October 26, 2012
Hot issues 4 me in election r Marriage Equality and a Woman's right to choose. I wish these social issues were nonpartisan, but they aren't
— Adam Lambert (@adamlambert) October 26, 2012
I just don't understand how folks would vote for a candidate and administration who's stance on Human rights is so twisted and dated.
— Adam Lambert (@adamlambert) October 26, 2012
And by ignoring these issues, we are indirectly promoting ignorance and discrimination.

LIFE WILL BE CUCKOO AND AMAZING WITH ADAMS CONTROL :)))))

I voted for OBAMA. I can't stand that other guy. He's against abortion and women rights. Why would anyone vote for a nasty man like that???? He even pays less tax than most middle class families. pathetic.
I like adam lambert very much- like his music and his voice.but im voting for romeny-im pro-life

I will vote Adam for president!!!
We all know he would be better than most of the clowns that rule this country... This two party system is ruining USA...
Ps. Economy situation is not Obama's fault and the idea of Romney in charge makes me scared.
we have early voting in Ohio and I voted already. The polls look very busy when I drive by. My son in law is running for judge in the county I live in.
@7:13 Do you know the difference between taxes on wages and taxes on capital gains?
I guess probably not, eh?

Very proud of Adam for coming out with this endorsement. Kelly Clarkson did as well. It takes courage to do this when you're a celebrity since it will surely lose you fans and supporters. Much easier to just sit by and say nothing. But then we have known for a long time how very brave Adam is. Unfortunately this thread will bring out the rightwing nuts who will spread their venom under the cloak of anonymous. . . . Adamluv
It's true... the 2 party system is totally outdated and at this point has been completely corrupted by money. It will be the downfall of us. :(
You are absolutely right Adamluv!
"rightwing nuts" = typical liberal use of the language.

I am an Adam fan. But what if Adam's mother had aborted him. I do not believe in killing unborn babies. This should be a separate issue to vote on.
7:30 every Pisces I know is a substance abuser. Just a fun fact.
This is my 2 cents: Based on their own background, Romney (Republicans in general) is for the rich and wealthy people, and wants to protect their interests while Obama (Democrats) seems to care more for the regular and less priviledged people and wants social programs for their benefit. To me, this is a democracy, so no one can rule and make all decisions on his own, so therefore, you can only blame the whole system. Economics, just like politics, is not a science, so to me the best leader is the one who cares for the people, especially the vulnerable segment, not the one who wants to help the rich get richer. Of course, asking for the wealthy to help support the needy ones is not a popular move, especially among private businesses, since they are motivated by profit not charity work. And that is precisely why there is a government to intervene to provide "public goods" and protect all people. Sorry for my long post, and I understand that each of us has the right to vote for whoever we believe in, but we should respect the same right for others too, since in this matter there is no right or wrong. Hopefully we all want the same in the end: make a better world for everyone to live in!
I hope that Obama will win. Do you know why I want it so much? Cause Adam will be in trouble (again) if Romney will win. Yes, I hate Romney and hope he will go in hell.
I hate politics. But I think this is against all laws and rules if Romney become the president. And I'm gonna first in line to vote.
If you are an Adam fan and you vote for Romney, then you are NOT A TRUE ADAM FAN! A vote for Romney is a vote AGAINST Adam's basic human rights!!!!!!!!
Think it over and vote Obama. Romney HATES gay people. He bullied a gay teenager in high school, cutting his hair in front of everyone in school. He voted to MAKE IT ILLEGAL FOR gay couples to have hospital vistation rights. He is against GAY RIGHTS in general and would love to destroy women's rights too!!!
ONce again, if you vote for Romney, YOU ARE NOT AN ADAM FAN!!!!
I don't care for politics and the president election but since Adam wants me to vote, I will vote for Obama/Biden. I want Adam to be happy and get married with Sauli. <3
That's the reason he can't get his music played in US I have bought the last thing of his I will ever buy. I am a female but price of gas, jobs etc are more important. Do have to survive. Adam is in liberal California. How much longer can Obama blame George Bush. If he is re-elected who is he gonna blame next term for the past four years. He thinks only of himself. Ask the people who lost family in Libya when he was asleep at the wheel. He went and campaigned with a terriost attack happening. Then he and Candy Crowley got on the debate and lied. He had claimed it was a video from utube Geez. He really thinks we are stupid. If we don't get that terriost situation under control social issues won't matter. I could care less who marries who. If he gets back in see what he does for the so call social issues. He could care less. My insurance is going up. It want do any good to have insurance if you can't find a doctor to see you. Wait to you get a load of what is really in that Obamacare. Some people want the government to run everything. They do a great job of running the post office.
adam thanks for telling us your political veiws, I'm voting for obama also!
7:51 oh come on now there are many Adam fans who will vote for Romney and they are true fans ,like me. I enjoy all these comments too.
By the way, the only person who can change this country future is Rudy Giuliani. He can rule this country. He can rule the world!
I think those that only vote for president based on their beliefs on abortion ought to step up then and take care of those babies.
I do believe that the two party system is antiquated.
Anon7:53 don't fool yourself if you think Romney is going to help your health insurance. Its disgusting how he bows to the rich and hides his money offshore and pays less in taxes than most Americans. He is in it for the fame.
In Finland last spring we had presidential elections.
The other one of two final candidates (there were 8 candidates during first round) was a gay green party member, Pekka Haavisto. He didn't win the election but he won many people's hearts. Also many conservative people liked him even if they didn't vote for him in the end. His partner is now among the favorite competitors in Finnish "Dancing with the stars".
I agree that the two party system in USA is a master example of corruption and outdated politics. There should be more parties to choose from.
I'm sure it must feel frustrating for Sauli (and Adam especially) to see how much more United States still has left to grow.
"Far, we could go so far, with our minds wide open, open."

@7:53PM How about this? You aren't the troll or snake or any other b....... who visits this blog sometimes. You are fucking idiot who must stay away from Adam, his music and his fans. I just wanted to say that you belong to Beibs and Co. However, suddenly I remember that this dwarf and his management kissed Obama ass all of these years. Again fuck you and stay away from our boy.
Troll of the house
Since when is it a sin to work hard and be sucessful and get rich? I thought that was the American dream.
7:53pm, you need to separate buying a cd from core values and respect for other people's opinions. fine if you do not want to support him, just follow singers who are for Romney then. i work in public health. We need to sustain a federal govt that can educate and provide social services and programs for people who need it. A Republican administration will provide fewer services for people; these services will not be provided by states and local areas - most do not have the money to do so. Many people will be much worse off, we all want to live in s society where everyone can eat when they are hungry and move forward (I hope). There would be many kids and <26 yo with no health insurance coverage at all had it not been for changes in the last few years.
Adam is brave and honest. I love Adam and everything about him. We all have the choice to vote for whomever we wish to,whether it is the same as Adam's or not. He spoke his belief and I am very proud of him. Wish these issues were seperate from politics.
I for one have already VOTED 4 OBAMA before ADAM's endorsement! It scares the HELL out of me to think of this country being at the mercy of Mitt?? Romney!! The seniors might just as well take a boat, bus ... covered wagon to another country. If Romney has his way ... we won't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. FORGET about Human Rights in any form. DO NOT vote for him ... I BEG you ... PLEASE!! ..~~thanx~~
The U.S. economy collapsed in September of 2008, two months before Obama was elected. He didn't cause the mess. He's tried to fix it with incredible blockage from Repubicans. No president, Republican or Democrat, could "fix" this mess in four years. It's not long enough. The process is gradual and complicated. There is no quick solution.
I think you can still be a Romney supporter and be an Adam fan. Good grief, we're all human and have lots of beliefs and causes that differ from each other. Emotional issues are different from economic ones, but they all affect us in some way.
I saw that Obama 2016 movie, and it's an incredibly biased film claiming to be a documentary. I would not consider it a accurate demonstration of facts.
Lots of anons on this political threads. Kudos to Adam for openly saying who he supports.
DRG
To clarify ... FORGET about Human Rights in any form if Romney is elected!! >> ~~thanx~~
@DRG ... I'll PROUDLY claim my two posts here ... Anon. 8:43 PM & Anon. 8:45 PM ... Light 'n Love
tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)
Let me get this straight. Obama was responsible for 4 people being killed in Benghazi by irrational terrorists. Therefore George Bush was responsible for thousands being killed on 9-ll by irrational terrorists. Even though Bush had been warned of an imminent attack on America, he was being photographed reading to school children during the attack. When notified he sat there inactive with a deer in the headlights look on his face. He did not hurry back to Washington to take charge.
We as a country did not blame the attack on Bush. But you and others want to blame the Benghazi attack on Obama. Hmm let's see what could possibly be the difference in reactions? Oh yeah, Obama is black. Makes all the difference in the world doesn't it?
8:51 That's absurb. Race has nothing to do with it. That's the way you people are. Last time I heard he was half white, so get off this black white stuff.
I voted early- O'bama. i am very informed on both sides (most people are not and listen to these stupid ads, in- fact most people are stupid in general. The bottom line for me is I don't trust Rommey- he's all lies and will set this country back 50 years. I work with people just like Rommey they have a different mind-set and literally just want to get richer and could care less about the middle class! (the backbone of our country)Mitt Rommey and especially ryan are dangerous people for this country.
October 26, 2012 7:39PM
I'm a Piscean and I'm NOT a substance abuser. DON'T GENERALISE!
@8:51- I agree with you! First of all the 4 american that got killed, were under hiliary clintons watch although O'bama takes full responsiblitiy as a leader should!
@9:01- I do believe race has everything to do with it- The Us is still extremely racists in many areas!
Thank God free at last...JAK here
Free from bondage in the hospital, home and loving it. Dr. took my DELL-A away for a day and a half and it's midnight and I'm playing catch up. Of course Adam is voting for Obama...I vote absentee ballot, can't stand in line...so mailed in my Obama vote over a week ago. And voted NO on every sneaky bone headed amendment to our state government that our imbecilic Governor and his cronies came up with. Florida is not renowned for voting wisely so I do a lot of praying during elections.
Glad to be back amongst ya!
Obama had a tough childhood.
Out of of the politics or not? There is the show on tv just right now. Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison. Now I know on 100% that Jonny Cash would be absolutely crazy about Adam's version "Ring Of Fire". I Never watch any documentary about Jonny Cash. But this show made me feel that Johnny wasn't just a country singer like money makers we have right know. Sorry,Carry, Taylor or whatever country singers we have on the f.... stage in our time. I think "Ring Of Fire" was another song which deserve standing "O"! Adam, you are genius!
How can you be racist when the man is half white half black?
II think entertainers make a big mistake when they use their popularity to engage in politicking. This sort of thing usually backfires, even more so, nowadays. I also believe Mr. Lambert is too busy to have formed an independent opinion and that is why I suspect he's reflecting another person's politics. I can guess who that other person might be. I also regret that he chose to openly expose what ought to have remained his "secret ballot." That bothers me more than his choice of politician.
9:29 is it -A ?
I thought Katy Perry looked pretty cute dressed as a ballot for Obama.
I believe Mr. Lambert voted for President Obama in 2008, did he not?
I'm not sure it was wise for Adam to voice his opinion, especially if Romney wins. It might come back to bite him.
9:38 - Do you seriously think Romney will win? I thought his chance of winning is 27 percent while Obama's chance of winning is 70 percent?
I really hope Obama wins next week. This country needs to move FORWARD, not BACKWARDS. Romney will set us back 50 years. No equality for women and gay people.
Adam's father and brother are heavily into politics.
9:38 that's true all the good coverage he gets on the radio will stop.
Adam is opening his heart to us by speaking about his beliefs, his wish for equality for all. (He also believes that human issues should be separated from political issues, but unfortunately he can't change the system!) As a society, we will recover from recessions, we will change political parties, but without human rights as the basis of our society, and a leader who believes in them, there will be no progress, no peace and happiness in our society. Yes, it's not a sin to want to work hard and get rich, it's the all American dream, but it's also the American dream to be able to help the less fortunate. Let's hope that our love for Adam will help us become more aware of "human issues" when we vote! I just cannot see myself denying Adam (and anyone else) of the right to love and happiness he deserves!
I have worked hard all my life and supported my family, pay for insurance, pay my local and federal income taxes.
However, let me ask, why would someone vote for a man that said and I quote " There are 47 percent of people that will vote for the president no matter what, who are dependent upon government, who believe they are victims, who believe they are entitled to housing, healthcare, to food, to you name it. And so my job is not to worry about those people".
Why would anyone want a man in the highest office in our country that has came out and said that he doesn't care about 47% of the people in our country? He thinks they are dependent upon the government then why doesn't he care enough to help them get out of poverty? Many of these people have fallen into rough times, maybe they have lost their jobs, or maybe they have lost everything because they have to pay for medical bills and went bankrupt?
His job as a president would be to govern everyone, not just 53% of Americans. One day I could be one of those 47% of people he was referring to, and I would want this man as my president? No thanks.
NKlovesAdam
Too busy to form an opinion. That's a new one. Adam was raised in a liberal houseold, thank God, his parent's didn't try to force him into therapy to "fix" him when they realized their loved son was gay. I doubt it was a difficult decision for Adam to choose a candidate that repealed Don't Ask, Don't Tell and refused to enforce DOMA.
Entertainers were right with the leaders of equal rights for black citizens because they were more tolerant and not afraid to be outspoken and risk any damage that might cause to their careers.
And why champion secret ballots if you are proud of the decisions you make...Say it loud, say it proud.
I voted for the man who doesn't scare me...Barack Obama...JAK
Oh, Adam, my heart was broken today as you have now chosen to enter the political arena. You have been for the past few years so smart and classy to stay out of the "political" mess. I am terrified that it will only hurt your career-so many movie stars and famous people have become outspoken and they are looked at as only crazy and obnoxious. Adam, things will change in this world, but we love you for your incredible voice. I never even want to know a person's religious beliefs or the political party they follow. I come to your world, Adam, to escape this crazy world of religious zealots and crazy partisan people (like Chris Matthews). Adam, think twice before you think you can become Obama's mouthpiece. It is a dangerous path for your career to take at this point in time. Why, oh why, do celebrities feel they have to be outspoken about their political choices. We love you for your voice, not your Obama endorsement. Adam, if you would ask a thousand people to look up into a sky full of clouds on a beautiful summer's day, you would get a thousand different reports from the participants. And, so it is with politics and religion. Every one thinks in a way that would be good for their own self or family. Just because we love a singer's voice does not mean that we must adopt their religion or political views. Let us all be smart and intelligent and respect one another.
I get tired of the entitlement group. Some are more able to work than me. Some want the handouts. You have alot of people drawing unemployment for extended periods of time that are not looking for a job and don't want one. No I shouldn't have to work and pay taxes for these people so they can lay on the couch and facebook all day or talk on their cellphone eating food purchased with food stamps with our tax dollars. Obama wants us to share with them. Redistribute the wealth.
And .. as Adam says ... 'change of subject' ... SAULI IS BACK!!!!
Adam's tweet:
.....And now Sauli and I will begin to turn into Glampires for the evening! #changeosubject
ANY woman who would vote for Romney clearly doesn't follow politics and just believes the Romney ads (stupid) -- or -- truly doesn't understand how Romney will DEVASTATE women's rights. Educate yourself on the ISSUES before you vote, people!! And religious views (pro-life; pro-choice) should not be part of politics!! What happened to separation of church and state??!! Good Grief - these right-wing extremists scare the hell out of me.
sorry but some of these posts have me lol. the drama is riveting dum de dum dum duuuum.
I can't understand just one little detail. Why Adam like to make the way on his carrier more and more difficult? Nobody likes politically involeved celebrities. Even if it is George Cloney or Tom Hanks!
@10:26 Speak for yourself!
I think it's the duty of a celebrity with a brain to speak about things they feel strongly about. Angelina Jolie for example might make herself look foolish when presenting an award (and her leg) but she is one tough bitch who works hard to make this world a better place...
Adam I have been a fan of yours from the first time I seen wicked.I am also a business woman & I know from years of experience you should keep politics & business separate.
@10:37PM sorry, but Angelina Jolie isn't the best example of world peace. As a matter of fact I always tell to myself when I look at her " do you see, daring, what meth can do with people?"
In the words of Adam... #ToChangeTheSubject , here's the result of Adam and Sauli's Vampire preparation for tonight: Two very Hot and very Scary Vampires
@shanolahampton: Loved meeting super hot couple adamlambert and Sauli!! #halloweenie
http://instagr.am/p/RRpRp3H2es/
The other day the diaper heads clergy in Iran saiid, if Romney becomes US president, we will speed up our uranium enrichment. Guess what that means. Another war by Republican Party. That's why when Romney takes office, he wants to put more money into military. Americans, do you want your sons and daughters get killed in another war?
@Anon 9:53 PM
Adam is speaking for himself, those are his views. He has the right to say what's on his mind and in his heart. "Obama's mouthpiece"?? Really??!! Hardly. As for your comment re fans adopting their favorite celeb's political views, religion, etc.: My views re religion and politics, etc. are my own and have been since long before I "met" Adam over 3 years ago. His views and my views just happen to be the same. I personally respect celebrities who speak out for things they feel strongly about, because yes, they do risk losing fans...and sometimes money. I suspect Adam doesn't care if he loses a few fans if they chose to jump ship over his endorsement of President Obama and his support of women's issues and Equality for all. I do not fear that these tweets will ruin or damage his career. And speaking for myself here, one of the many reasons that I follow Adam so closely, in addition to loving his fabulous voice, is his ability to be honest and courageous, when he knows full well he may (and unfortunately will..) be criticized for his words or actions by some. Those qualities, when added to his humble thankfulness, and his sweet and kind personality, make me admire him even more..and keeps bringing me back here to flail about him on a regular basis :)) .
And I wholeheartedly agree with your final sentence:
"Let us all be smart and intelligent and respect one another."
Amen to that!!!
I doubt mine will the be last word on the sudden politicalization of this website but I have to say this: I regret coming here, where until today I have found refuge from the ugliness of the current campaign for high and low office, and then finding the fungus of political angst is now growing here as well. This is a fan site for Adam Lambert, not Barack Obama. As one with some considerable experience in both business and politics, I regret to see that Adam did not more cogently consider the consequence of stirring himself into the political pot. It is not just Adam who will be affected by his political choices and aspirations, noble though they are, he has many others who now depend on him for their own livelihood. a crew and a band and many others whose fortunes now depend on him. Moreover. through experience and years observing the political scene I know that the political opinions of entertainers affect their own careers far more than the careers of the politicians they support. As for the "secret vote" I must add that the right to a "secret vote" is a vital protection for the voter as well as the linch pin that has made our democracy last as long as it has.
If a celebrity would be smart, he or she might, just might, say, "Yes, I will be voting for Obama (or Romney) in the forthcoming election, because this person is closest to my own beliefs and aspirations for this country". BUT, where so many celebrities get in to trouble with their political statements is when they just have to take that simple statement one mile further, and add, "I just don't understand how folks would vote for a candidate and administration whose stance on human rights is so twisted and dated". Now, you have entered the platform of putting down half of the United States of America, (Obama and Romney are running neck to neck according to the polls). You are now saying something like this! "Folks, half of the United States is wrong because they support Romney, but, you can make it right if you vote for Obama". Celebrities must learn that they can not be so dogmatic in their statements to the public, because 50% of the United States can not be wrong, they just have a different view on which candidate meets their own personal criteria. Adam will have to learn that he can definitely state his opinion without that extra "dig" of his not understanding how folks can vote for Romney. Gay rights will definitely get its day in court in our future, but it will have to be done with class and understanding on both sides of the fight. When I was brought up as a child in the deep South of the United States, we were very Christian and very white, but my wonderful mother NEVER allowed her children to think that we were the RIGHT and CHOSEN ones. We were never allowed to put down Blacks, Catholics, poor people, or anyone for that matter. Adam Lambert is right-we should all have equal rights as human beings, but you can not stomp on 50% of our nation that will vote for Romney to get what you personally want. He must understand that gay rights is his important issue, but millions of us are concerned about the economy, jobs, social security, and the blatant Muslim extremism that can destroy all of us. I will add one more quick thing. Adam has taught me so much about being gay and the difficulty that gays face, but he has done this through his incredible music, not his endorsement of Obama. When I listen to his song, "UNDERNEATH", he needs to say no more-that song says it all and has the ability to change any haters.
Young kids who can vote most of them call Romney an old fart.
The mullahs in Iran at Friday prayer mass declared that they will speed up their uranium enrichment if Romney becomes president. No more wars people. Another war another global economy disaster. Vote for Obama.
@2:22 I could not agree with you more..there is good and bad on both sides..I'm not into politics too much, but my son is, and he tells me things that can cause one's hair to stand on end...but, he is not in the public arena as Adam..I think Adam has been conversing with his Dad and Bro, who are both staunch liberals, and, as all of us, have a right to their opinion..I wish the positive issues on both sides could be combined into one candidate..but they cannot of course...I believe in America..I love my country and will support her no matter who is at the helm...AND I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT!!!!!
one more thing..Adam told us early on that he has no filter..gotta respect him for speaking his truth..he really did not need to say all he said tho..but, the fact is, most people will not read it, or even care..his music is what we love...
@2:22 AM
Very well said.
At least you have a choice in the U.S. i.e. you don't have to vote but it's obviously important that you do vote.
Let's face it. We vote for a particular candidate because of our own personal agenda. It makes sense that Adam would vote for Obama. On the other hand, the unemployment in this country is getting worse each day, and Obama's track record is very bad. People are scared. We all need to eat. I am for gay rights, women's rights, good jobs, lower food and gas prices, and downsizing government. Lower taxes and decreasing the debt which will passed on to my children. So who to vote for? One candidate doesn't have everything.
@7:51 PM .... that's idiocy!!
Thanks for my laugh of the day. This thread is hilarious. I'm with Adam and the person who quoted his last tweet about he and Sauli getting dressed as glampires #changethesubject
I think it is generally easier and safer for celebrities to be quiet about their political views but, since no one can be in any doubt about which candidate Adam was supporting, the risk to Adam is minimal.
Adam has said he's not well versed on political matters but that he will speak out on issues that affect him personally.
IMHO he is pretty responsible as a celebrity when he speaks out; focuses on what he knows.
Adam's tweet of his choice for president tempts controversy, but far from being a naive move, his few words underscores the urgency of the civil rights cause he has stood for ever since the advocacy role on behalf of the LGBT community was first thrust on him. Taking a stand is always risky, especially for one as visible a target as Adam. But ending the discrimination that denies people their equal rights is a crusade that he could not afford to pass up the chance to advance from an oppressive status quo. This must have been infinitely more important to Adam than the potential hits to his career. Whether or not you agree with his politics, there's no denying the courage of his convictions, another reason to admire this principled and highly- evolved artist. atm
saying that one hopes Romney goes to Hell and that if one votes for him, he is not an Adam fan..what ridiculous rubbish...it is our right as American citizens to vote for whomever we choose..I love Adam..even if he wanted to vote for Mickey Mouse..
What I find amusing is the difference in the language between the liberals and the conservatives on this blog. It really reveals a lot!
Not cool Adam!!!
glitzy lady (Beautiful Lady) share his rational and humane Comment!
"Let us all be smart and intelligent and Respect one another." HH
ADAM has as much right to voice his opinion as you and I. He lives the crapola of homophobia everyday
and you expect him, and others to sit back and not put in a fight for freedom of equality! What bloody century do we live in??!!
Just try to put youself in that position and maybe you might view the situation a whole lot differently!
Damn this isn't a joke, it's hearbreaking stuff here!
Reading this thread, it is obvious that Adam has both Liberal and Conservative fans and this is a good thing. We should all agree to disagree, that's democracy.
As a Canadian, I can't vote but Romney's 47% quote is very scary coming from a man who wants to be President.
GMT
Adam is entitled to his opinion as well as all of his fans. However, it is disappointing to see the kind of lies and mud slinging thrown around about the President on this board of all places. It is simply regurgitation of the same crap we hear daily by the ignorant talking heads on television. Some people need to stop drinking the Kool Aid and do little fact checking. I am particularly fed up with the tired and worn "Obama is a Muslim" accusations. It's just another example of veiled racism, closely related to the homophobia in this country. Educate yourselves by research, not parroting Rush Limbaugh.
Why would any fan of Adam be shocked, disappointed, or outraged that he is voting for Obama? Duh! What on earth would the GOP candidate have to offer that would appeal to Adam? You don't vote and shoot yourself in the foot at the same time. Get real. And by the way, Adam, as a U.S. citizen, has a right to speak his mind whether he is an entertainer or a short order cook. I guess the zombie fanbots have finally found the straw that broke the camel's back, and I think it's hilarious.
I don't understand the idea that a celebrity shouldn't make their political candidate known. Celebrities are just citizens, as are we all. My doctor and I disagree completely on politics and yet I trust my life and wellbeing to him. We can keep our political affiliations secret if we wish to, but it's not required.
I admire people who have the courage to speak up. Reps or Dems.
This is important stuff, life changing, nation changing, maybe world changing. Of course millions of people won't all see things the same way...humans are naturally contrary. Thank God our country elects those who represent us without bloodshed and riots...even though we slash each other to ribbons with hateful vicious words. This election is a prime example of that, but we will soon wake up to the reality of who will lead us for another four years. I hope it's Obama, but if it isn't I will pray every night, as I do now, that God will guide our President to make wise decisions. I don't hate Mitt Romney and if he's president, believe me I will be hoping for the best he can give.........JAK
Anon 2:22 with all my heart I believe as I and as others on this sight have said you need to do a lot more homework before making your decision on who to vote for. When comments like "blatant Muslim extremism" come out the " left" become very worried and very scared about who could next represent our country and people believing what they hear and not looking at the fact checks. Adam is very worried and wants it known that we could be in a world of hurt if people don't genuinely educate themselves. Look at unbiased facts. The job situation is improving but it takes time and two sides working in unison to accomplish this and obviously that ain't working. Don't believe everything you hear or read when its one sided.

Finally, something interesting for me to read here! Quite informative.
I am, indeed, interested in who wins your elections. You might (or not) realize the fact that US (foreign) policy has a great impact on many other countries.
However, my new (political) philosophy is: "let's follow the money"... meaning the "money behind" a candidate. The narrative of money in politics...that will be interesting. The rest is just (political) showbiz, the reality show of "who's the better man".
Btw, I'm still puzzled how the US electoral system (based on "the winner takes it all" rule) might be representative for the "dÄ“mokratÃa" - that is, the rule of the people.
Maybe it doesn't matter after all. There are countries (including my own) that have direct electoral systems and still make the wrong choices. When "the people" is poor, uneducated and/or comfort-addicted, commercially-driven, well... and don't quite fit together.
...But I do like the politically involved Glambert(s). Go for it!
I'm sure, after winning, the candidate of your choice(s) will make your lives way better. After all, they are in this for the benefit of you, the ('right') people! :->

I mean...
When "the people" is poor, uneducated and/or comfort-addicted, commercially-driven, well... "demos" and "kratos" don't quite fit together.

JAK here...Actually the US is not a democracy. A democracy is a form of government in which the people decide policy matters directly thru town hall meetings or voting on ballot initiatives and referendums.
We are a republic...a system in which the people choose representatives who make policy decisions on their behalf.
The framers of the Constitution did not feel the general public were well educated enough to make the necessary wise decisions, but they trusted that they would choose representatives who were intelligent and compassionate and therefore what was best for the country would be done.
Things haven't exactly worked out that way in many instances. MONEY and POLITICAL INFLUENCE crept in like the serpent in the Garden of Eden. We are our own worst enemy.
There is no such thing as a perfect type of government. Sadly.
Bless Katy's spirit. I've heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve...but she's wearing her ballot on her body!....JAK
7.53PM! Completely with You. Only I am
going to bye his music.
9.38PM! Unfortunately, but You ARE right.
@2:22
Thanks, I could not have said it better.
I agree with all what you expressed.
To the one who hopes Romney goes to Hell shows the kind of people majority of liberals are. And you think you're not on your way to Hell as well, all you liberals for abortion?
USA has been on the receiving end of God's punishment since abortion laws were signed by your liberal president, the whole nation has been suffering, why don't you count the ways?
I am 5,20.
And what was I thinking? It is BUY, not bye! Sorry, guys.
Nobama has increased government spending so much that we’ve run trillion-dollar-plus deficits every year that he’s been in office.
The national debt exploded from $10 trillion to more than $16 trillion. He presided over massive unemployment, soaring numbers of food-stamp recipients and billions of dollars in new entitlement spending.
I love Adam and I respect him as a person but that doesn't mean I cannot disagree with his choice.
Anon 6:08 PULEEZEE! Really? How many people said Romney should go to hell? Did you count them? As far as abortion, I assume you will be in line ready to take care of those babies who's parents won't?
Go ahead and disagree, that's your right. One thing that would amuse me about Republicans if it weren't so terribly perverse is that they stomp and holler for less government interference, smaller government, less regulations, etc. and yet they want the government to have a say in what happens in a woman's uterus! How much more invasive could a government get?
Perhaps a program for castrating men who father children out of wedlock or by forcible rape would be something the Republicans should look into and implement.
How 'bout it? Consider it at least. If you are willing to invade a woman's body it's only fair to cut off the flow of sperm.
