I'm not surprised Trespassing was chosen by iTunes as one of the best albums of 2012. I remember when Rolling Stone gave it 4 stars.
Today was the first time same-sex partners could file for marriage licenses in Washington State. I know quite a few great couples who are doing that. Our state also legalized marijuana.

I heard someone say "Well, it says in the Bible that if a man lies with another man they have to be stoned...so we figured we had to pass them both in the same year!"

So it may be a case of throwing out the baby together with the bathwater...referring to Adam not getting a Grammy. The Academy judges, who I do respect with regard their decisions, may not have found Adam's Trespassing album their cup of tea; possibly due to the defiant or gay overtone in a couple of songs in this magnificent album. And hence more or less did not give them a favourable impression or may have thwart their decisions about the whole album repertoire. For instance, Outlaws of Love and Trespassing etc. may seem too defiant or gay to their music sense. But, Never Close Our Eyes and Better Than I Know Myself etc. could have been given recognition, for Adam's perfect vocals, singing techniques, and the messages in these two beautiful songs are praiseworthy. It's difficult to perceive that Adam and Trespassing got a total zilt / zero in this tremendous effort, production of Trespassing. Business / sales, involved definitely. Tough. Just my views. On the other hand, Adam received several Asian music noms and awards based exactly on the same songs; they took into consideration Adam's vocal excellence and stage professionalism. Asia places a great deal more importance on vocals and art per se but of course no less important is business / sales; bottom-line still is money as in any enterprise. Hmm much food for thought. :)

@lmb,Love your humor and so happy for those in your state that now can be free to have a full life. You have done so much for equality and what great satisfaction to know what a difference you've made. I think you're correct why Adam isn't recognized for a Grammy. I love Outlaws of Love and the lyrics are so meaningful and important and Trespassing is calling it as it is, which may jog their concsience in an unflattering way. So much politics.

@ Lam my, I meant to include you in my comments to lmb regarding Adam being passed over for a Grammy. I agree with you completely. What were the actual awards for which Adam was nominated and did he win? I'm behind in Adam lurking!

Adam was nominated /awarded for MAMA / Mnet Asian Music Award; estimated, beamed to 2.3 million viewers in 85 countries as reported. Also awarded Hennessy Artistry Award. Whoa! Adam practically blew up the stage, he might have shattered some glass on the ceiling with his killer-wails! And he looked extremely commanding on stage with that stunning Trespassing jacket and also the black jacket. Band and dancers faultless! Funbunn, you too, helped me get that something stuck in my windpipe out; feels a lot loosened up now. lol!

Marriage licenses are now available, starting at midnight tonight , and many marriage license places opened up to accommodate those who just couldn't wait even one minute longer to get their long awaited license to marry. The first marriages will happen on Dec. 9th, as WA has a three day waiting period.

I kept hoping for Adam would get a nom, but I wasn't surpirsed when he didn't. Oh well, he's got world-wide attention and many accolades. More will come. Can't figure out how the Grammys could overlook such quality in voice and music. Well, at least the Biebs didn't get any noms, either. That's a relief.
The pic of Adam and Lee is so cute and natural and spontaneous. Just two regular guys. The thought of Adam singing at the inaugural makes me tingle with excitement! What a statement that would make for the administration. Inclusion, fairness, equality. Not to mention the voice. Keep tweeting!

Justin B. could not even begin to hold a candle to Adam Lberts as a performer or singer or song writer. I love Ad entire album. I pretty sure he got nominated for best performer on a stage at MAMA, with PSY and others, heard other ninations as well!
