It's L.A. Reid that is leaving, right? Seems they would want to put another music producer in his place. But what an interesting situation if Adam took that job.

LA Reid is leaving the X factor; he said so in an interview. Overall, the judges panel is weak esp. with immature, horrible comments between Demi and Simon. And Britney, seems out of it most of the time. Did you see her face when Carly Rose was one of the last two left? Britney looked horrified, but her girl was chosen as a finalist. Adam on this panel....I don't know esp. with Simon who did not particularly like Adam in the beginning of Idol. Adam would have been better on Idol since he had been on the show. All of these reality talent shows are becoming the same. Does anyone really become a successful recording artist except for those on Idol? Even the winners on Idol are not guaranteed success in their careers. Adam just should focus on his own career, keep touring even if it is internationally and work on a third album. He is the best talent in music today and it is ashame that radio hasn't picked up on that with Trespassing. I hope that other doors open for him after his hosting job on VH1 Divas.

I've never watched X Factor, I just kind of threw out my post. Thanx to those who have addressed this. Now I'm more certain than I originally thought that this is not for Adam. Adam is doing what he loves and that's what counts.

I disagree that "Simon did not particularly like ADAM in the beginning of Idol".
Try to see the audition portion again how Simon was so intently gazing at him up and down and up.
Simon can spot a star and that comment of being theatrical is true anyway (just listen how ADAM rendered BR then).
If Simon sees star quality, he usually gives constructive criticism to lead to the right path.
Simon and Kara's early critique helped ADAM to connect to the Idol audience.

@xyz - I have to agree with you about Simon and Kara and their early critiques being helpful to Adam. And Simons gazing at Adam, now in hindsight, is priceless. . . . Adamluv
