I don't think Adam was watching the Super Bowl. But he probably tuned in to watch Beyonce's performance as I did. She was terrific and blew the fuses in the stadium with all the lights she had in her production numbers.

Adam deff needs to do the NA next year. Keeping it beautiful and simple, less is more theme.

That halftime show was a hot mess. Why all the love? All i heard was moaning and groaning and she looked and danced like a hooker. This explains why Adam struggles in this genre of music.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I thought BEY was fab.

This is interesting: An Adam Lambert mention in this Forbes online article...Adam and Football in the same article ;)))

"China Are You Ready For A Superbowl?"

Excerpt from the article:

"And that’s why the NFL has its eye on the country with the largest potential television audience, China. Today, seven Chinese television stations will carry Super Bowl XLVII, and it will also be streamed. Last year, 22 million Chinese fans saw the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots in the NFL’s championship game on television. More than a million watched online.

These numbers mean there is room for growth for the NFL in the world’s most populous nation. After all, on September 30 a simply astounding 520 million people watched a local Chinese talent show, “The Voice of China,” to hear Adam Lambert, the American singer."

Apparently, we aren't the only ones who have been noticing Adam and his spectacular popularity in Asia!!!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for that, glitzylady! Sometimes I do think that we in the fandom are the only ones paying attention. This mention makes me feel good. Nice that Adam is going back to Asia for more shows.

As for Beyonce, who I happen to like, I thought the first couple songs were kind of generic and robotic. But I thought she ended up really strong. She has a great voice. I kept thinking of how Adam would do the half-time show!

Just have to add: Adam builds bridges. He doesn't tear them down. Praise is a good thing.

@glitzylady

Thanks so much for the article, you always give us information that I myself would never know about. So happy they took notice and mentioned the love Asia has for Adam.

About Beyonce at Half-time: I thought she was great, and the production was truly fabulous.

And I agree, I would LOVE to see Adam performing in some capacity on there someday. Guess we'll see...perhaps if the Super Bowl goes to Asia..........

Thanx glitzylady for the Forbes article. It made me laugh out loud. A happy for the attention laugh of course.

I didn't watch any of the Super Bowl. I found out about the blackout from my Yahoo! homepage.

BTW, I do like Beyonce she is very talented. Great voice, decent actress, damn, that girl can dance..LOL

I don't think ADAM can ever grace any sports arena as singer for the Star-Spangled Banner or God Bless America or for half-time entertainment ever and I feel sorry for that.

Read the Forbes article earlier and was wowed by it. Btw Adam has ties to San Francisco so he may have watched the game. Also Sauli might have also wanted to see it. So much speculation. Born and raised in SF so was massively disappointed. My grandson played football with Colin K in H S. Turlock in mourning mode.

How come nobody mentioned Jennifer and Alicia Keys? My husband said that it was the best National Anthem's performance in last few years. Jennifer was gorgeous also!
@8:35PM Have to agree with you. This is very sad.

Anonymous said...

Beyonce has fantastic voice. How come during all show she sang one song and 3 words? However the dancing part was awesome!Legendary!

Anonymous said...

loved Beyonce. Alecia keys NA not so much, it seemed way too long and overdone but many thought it was good.

Anonymous said...

Adam was probably flipping out during half time, he loves Kelly Rowland.

I think the fact that he pretty well dominating Asia is even better than the one time shot at super bowl, they always get mostly woman entertainer's anyway! He easily is the biggest Idol ever in Asia, after these concert he will even be bigger, it's awful big place to be popular at, they Truely love him! We should celabrate Adam's victories lamenting the fact he may never be on super bowl! Adam getting one victory at a time, like being the only man ever to host vh1 Diva's, maybe only American artist to be on voice China, it's a new show but still, I think he only one for sure a first for Diva's, he had quite a few victories and will cont. to have more! We should be happy for those than be sad over not being at super bowl, it not all that sad when he has many things to be grateful for and will have many more, in time! I say Congradulation's Adam for all your victories in life, and you will master many more in time!

Loved Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Beyonce half time was out of this world. Commercials were just fine. Car commercials IMO were the best. The game got more excited after half time and black out was a hoot. I wanted the niners to win but Raven played well. It was a good game and entertainment all around.

Anonymous said...

I mentioned this before and I will say it again, stop putting down other artists with huge acceptance around te world. By this you degrade Adam and hurt his career.

HK fan said...

rumour has it, Adam and Sauli were watching The Superbowl with their neighbour, Kelly Osbourne.

Anonymous said...

Cool, kelly O must have gotten over the hula hoopin thing. LOL

Alicia Keyes was fabulous, in my opinion, singing the National Anthem: my husband and I are fans. And seeing the Sandy Hook Elementary School Choir singing with Jennifer Hudson (also great..) was heartbreaking and joyous all at the same time. My son, Adam's age, was in tears..He has 2 young daughters and seeing the survivors of that terrible tragedy was more than he could bear. I suspect they had that effect on many millions of viewers.

glitzylady said...

And I'll never count Adam out of anything, including singing in some capacity at the Superbowl. Things change, attitudes change, and it's just a matter of time.

glitzylady said...

Ooops! Forgot to finish!

Not that he ever will, but it's possible...

Adam could slay the world to if only he would take his performance to the next level. He has natural rhythm and could burn up the stage with his dancing, but he always stop when he's at that point of pushing himself to the next level. I'm not talking about grinding and touching himself endlessly, but dancing. Just when Adam is about to set the stage on fire, First, he laughs at himself, then stops.

I'm happy for Beyonce, but she has not always entertained like what she's doing now. It was only after she met Tina Turner and tried to emulate her in the movie Pink Panther. What I'm saying is that Adam has it all, he can sing, dance, act,.....it would be great to see him let loose on stage with his dancing.

Anonymous said...

10:53 you can only do so much dancing when you are actually singing.

Anonymous said...

maybe Brooke, Terrance and Johnny and Adam can go on tour together and just tear up the floor dancing, no singing.

Anonymous said...

This was suppose to be family entertainment . . .not 3 Ho's humping like pole dancers

Anonymous said...

Beyonce sang total 45 seconds only for an 8 minute show.

Anonymous said...

If I am a parent of a victim of Sandy Hook, I would not appreciate seeing those in the choir having a good time singing and so happy with their lot. But maybe they're not from Sandy Hook as this link provokes.

Great minds think alike Adam. Said exactly the same thing prior to reading your twitter! Ha!
Whether you like Beyonce or not you have to admit she put her heart and soul into that Super Bowl performance.

Anonymous said...

Hands down to Kelly who really has trimmed herself up lately major time. A weekly dance show in Australia was axed within a few weeks of airing and Kelly and Jason were the host. Great to see her back on top again.

Anonymous said...

Beyonce had to cream it after the publicity she'd endured recently and she blew it out the water.
Now if only Adam realized just how much he too blows it out the water.
Don't under estimate yourself Mr Lambert you too are a supreme entertainer.

I'm not a fan of those named mentioned but it was okay and neat at least....

Adam received The Unity Award because of his realness indeed!!:)

I agree with 10:16. If fans of other stars come to this page and see us putting down their artists, they are turned off. Adam builds bridges and people tear them down.

Anonymous said...

Why would they come here at all?

I thought Alicia was dreadful singing thr NA, but then most singers are.

Why is our NA about the war of 1812? America the Beautiful much more appropriate.

Why fret about tearing down other singers when this site does such a good job tearing down Adam? NYC gay bar bashing, infidelity, etc. Face it we are awash in pond scum.

Anonymous said...

all that hip shaking and bootie vibrating blew the lights out. The singing was mediocre. Halo is a beautiful song though. She has had better performances. More hype than anything really.

Anonymous said...

she thinks she is the revival of Tina Turner from back in the day. Girl dancers all around her and gyrating like no tomorrow. Family show? The Super Bowl was XXX last night.

Anonymous said...

Her stage took half the power of New Orleans. ha I wonder how many squats and lunges prepared her for last night? just kept going and going and going and going.

Anonymous said...

I thought Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keyes were class acts. Beyonce is very talented, but not as a Super Bowl halftime show. Maybe I'm being prudish, but I think the act was a little inappropriate considering everything (children's choir, etc). Just my opinion...nancdruuu2

Anonymous said...

I've watched alot of Super Bowls and the halftime that keeps coming back to me is . . .Aerosmith and Run DMC . . .
Don't know why . . . . just sticks in my head
BTW . . .like another fan I go to YouTube to listen to Adam sing national anthem after I listen to TV version . . . . What a difference
Didn't like pole dancers

Anonymous said...

I also think Adam should perform the NA next year. He would sing it beautifully. As far as doing the halftime show, I have been reading several remarks and articles lately from certain pro football players and their homophobic remarks about gay football players and their acceptance in the sport. So would Adam be accepted as the performer at the half time show or would he even want to be in that particular venue? I don't know. I would rather see him at a concert filled with fans who love and appreciate his vocal talent and stage presence. Beyonce put on a spectacular show but there was a lot of moaning and groaning as previously mentioned and lots of backup singers music as she danced on stage. But this is what people want in music today and that's why she is so successful. It's all about the lights, pyrotechnics, dancers, costumes, hair, etc. and the actual singing becomes secondary or lip snyching in the case of many performers. Well, I've had my say and must now go out into the cold, windy NJ weather and the activities of a normal, everyday life.

Ditto! Well said!

Didn't see Adam's tweets until I came here, but my thoughts exactly.
Fierce mama, she saang & danced and looked hot & sexy, no need to critique any of it!

And I would have liked to see more of Destiny's Child, such a NICE SURPRISE, lovely memories!

- and "Wuh Uh Oh Uh Uh Oh Uh Oh Oh Uh Uh Oh, If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it" kept ringing in my head all night long... LOL

9.53 was me Sue I forgot to sign it, I think Adam is doing an amaizing job all around! as for dancing when you are actually singing and belting out big notes, it hard to flip around dancing! Exsactly why MD, and Britney S. and others lip sync a lot! Adam is an natural dancer, he big tall man, he has great moves he looks just right in what he does, what people want to see from Adam is the singing along with a few shape moves that he is quite good at! Most men dancer or small and not all that tall in stature which gives more flexible. Adam slim but he a tall larger frame man not gonna be flipping around all over the place. I sure if he wanted to neglect his singing he could do more moves, hope he never does that! I think the way he moves to his full out belting if song's is just right, he does not have a reputation for one if not the best live performer's for nothing! That was sharpe moves not shape moves. People go away from an Adam remembering it for years and waiting for next time and many go to multiple's if possible! I think he got just the right mix! I did not watch the half time thing, just had no interest! That saying nothing against anyone!

Anonymous said...

Who said anything about flipping? It would be great if he keeps doing what he's doing, but more of it. He got the moves, he just needs to stop teasing us/me with them. lol

@11:38 AM, What the heck does being tall has to do with ones ability to dance?

tea said...

I'd like to see Adam do a stint on Dancing With the Stars. IMO it would enhance up his dancing skills.

Anonymous said...

No DWTS!

Anonymous said...

No DWTS...absolutely not! I would love to see him on SMASH or even GLEE as himself talking to the students about bullying and harrassment, being different, loving and respecting others who are not the same in today's society. And yes,Adam does seem to suffer in today's genre of music because he actually has talent, spectacular stage presence and an honest, charming, intelligent persona. But he has gained international success and that keeps him going. I will always continue to follow his career and can't wait for a third album hopefully sometime later this year.

Anonymous said...

Adam has to believe in himself that he is a good dancer and not underestimate his talent, maybe he needs some choreography lessons with Paula. He can do it and would be excellent in his moves. I've seen those move before on Zodiac stage.

Anonymous said...

No choreography, too fake, his natural moves are just right and I'm afraid if he added more movement, there might be mass fainting in the mosh pit, temperatures would rise, ice floes would melt, polar bears would lose their natural habitats, oceans would rise and I would have waterfront property......$$$$$.....
maybe that wouldn't be so bad. No!....what am I saying....I wouldn't hurt a polar bear! I'm a card carrying member of the Natural Resources Defense Fund and World Wildlife Federation.

Adam please just keep your current moves, for the sake of the planet!
