Thanks for the video---Love the costumes and wigs. I love that you got the audience at the end, and entire band during song. That adds a more "REALNESS" to the actual feel of being there.

I can't believe I've been up all night watching these vids, just can't get enough of Adam.

I LOVE Outlaws of love song!
Sometimes when I`m listening Bruno`s
When I was your man, I wonder why Adam doesn`t spoil us with songs like Soaked or Outlaws of love!
I love also UN.

Love watching these vids from Kanazawa. Adam seems to be enjoying himself and having a great time on stage. I like the dance moves he's added esp. with Cuckoo. The first time I heard Adam perform OOL, I was moved to tears because of the heartfelt lyrics and his voice. He just does it all so well..the funky, upbeat songs and the poignant, beautiful ballads. For me, Adam is the best vocal talent in music today and I am glad the fans in Japan are enjoying him.

Since I was so critical of the background singers' leotards in the beginning, I think I should mention that they are looking lovely in these new flowing gowns. Now, if they would only give up those silly looking false-fro-balls up on their heads, I'd stop nagging like a mother. :) Beverly

@1:59 Yes this is new now for Billboard charting,so very important we give Adam's videos views. I can't get away from listening to Adam sing and perform all these songs so perfectly. Surprised I am getting any sleep at all!Thank you to all who took and posted these videos for us to enjoy!

I used to think that WWFM was Adam's signature song, but now I really believe that IIHY, with its heavy drums and Adam's direct contact with the fans, is it!!

Anonymous said...

The "fros" wigs were - Adam's idea for So Africa performance.

I also like when Adam interacts with the fans who are present. I know american fans want and appreciate the videos, but sometimes I wonder if Adam is too aware of the cameras and the videos being taped.

They do not wear those wigs the entire show! If the boss say's wear them , that what they do. I am sure It was Adam's idea he puts the concerts together, and does a damn good job of it too! Sue

Gosh, the clips from the Kanazawa concerts are fantastic .... so clear and so still.

Yep, Adam makes me want to listen to music again .... his music, over and over and over.

The first time I heard Outlaws of Love, the slow version, I really liked it and kept hearing this eastern lilt in its melody. This is it...will be my highlight of the concert. The song has come full circle; it started off with a more serious connotation but now we can quick-waltz to it...Adam subconsciously has let go I feel, about being an outsider; now he can even 'surmonise' lol! OOL will go down as a classic in years to come.

This concert is so damn good it really is worthy of a world tour, I'm so disappointed to think I won't get to see it in my country.

@Anon February 25, 2013 at 4:52 AM

I guess I'm going to be the jerk who risks turning what should be a wonderful thread sour... but really, Daydreamin's pic displays so much of who Adam STILL IS TODAY and probably more than just you 4:52 need to come to grips with that or perhaps move on. I don't know Adam personally, not at all, but he has put a LOT of himself out there and enough to know that he's got certain preferences and likes and viewpoints and ways of seeing things that falls way (way way way) out of the "traditional" mainstream and is more than just a little left of center. (Not talking about the gender he sleeps with). The reason why I am taking a second to post is because I do NOT think you are a troll 4:52... which makes me all the more condfused as to why you are here posting, or even following him. His talent is incredible, yes, but I think it's now safe to say that all of Adam's other interests are going to be included in following him, so perhaps you ought to take a chill pill, accept, find another hobby, or move on. I am not addressing anyone who says they don't like Adam's eyeliner or more risque moves etc. ... I am addressing people like you who are SO uber snarky and who, as I said above, are actually not trolls but are indeed fans... because it's YOUR nonense Adam could do without... and if not Adam, we here who find him fascinating, as well as talented musically, sure could do without it, also something I feel is safe to say!!!!

Anonymous said...

These vids are great. Kanazawa did good!!!

jt said...

4:52. Agree. I'll take him warts and all. Fans that can't take his style etc. Should just accept that he is not going to conform to how you want him to be and that's a fact. Just chill and don't torture yourselves watching him on videos. That will stop all the nasty comments. I am sure that won't happen LOL! !!!!!!!!

I am curious as to why daydreamin would post a picture certain to upset some more conservative fans. it just fans the flames.

I am also curious as to what gives anyone the right to tell people who are discussing an issue to move on? I understand if that person is a foul mouthed nasty creature spewing hateful observations, but if they are not, why do they have to leave? This forum is for comments, it's not headed "for praise and adulation only"
though some seem to think so. I don't approve of some
of Adam's choices, but I am stil enchanted with his beautiful unreal voice and sweet face and joy of life.

Quit asking me to go away or keep my mouth shut. I don't complain about the same same same comments of "he's gorgeous, he's perfection, he set the bar impossibly
high, he has the best voice in the world, and the ever popular "he had me at Mama". B o r I n g! we could use some original thinkers.

sorry I guess I did just complain!

Your obsession with Tommy is ridic but obviously there are only a few concerts left and then they are all gone to other jobs. Adam could well take a job on broadway next where he doesn't need a band.

Anonymous said...

Without Tommy Adam would have a US tour. I though you all wanted to see Adam.

Anonymous said...

Adam gets rid of Tommy and he will be more successful. Very simple and easy.

Great example of how people take things out of context:

Lady Sybilla ‏@Lady_Sybilla
#Oscars2013 Anne Hathaway hands down deserved to win. In your face, @adamlambert

We saw Adam's tweets praising Anne Hathaway over and over and called her performance an Oscar worthy.

People have short brain span and read into things the way they see it fit.

Why does everyone hate tommy so much? And why would you say that Adam would be more successful without him. Just curious

Anonymous said...

Yeah, shouldn't pay attention to these comments but they have me laughing so much. Tommy doesn't affect Adam one way or the other. Not positively or negatively.

Anonymous said...

You can go to see Tommy instead of Adam if you like, but you don't have the power in this fandom.

Anonymous said...

6:48, I agree. It seems that Tommy holds a lot of power over many of you here. I watch him on stage and he does his job and doesn't bother anybody. His brief interaction with Adam is benign and just part of the show. The old GNT stuff is over. I don't see Adam going over to Tommy and singing next to him or even putting his arm on his shoulder as being sexual at all. Don't read so much into it. I've seen other lead singers do similar things with their guitar players. It's just interaction, nothing more. Tommy is quiet and quite unobtrusive onstage. He does a little guitar solo or two and that's about it. Don't give him so much power over your emotions. His presence has nothing to do with Adam's chance to do a U.S. tour.

Yay for the popdust poll! We did it again!

Thanks, 6:26, for the pic links to the Nagoya show. Can't wait for videos!

People blame Tommy for the kissing, which was of course Adam's idea in the first place. They were both obsessed with the sleazy film Velvet Goldmine and Adam was determined to bring back the androgyney which was rampant among rock bands in the 70's. Mostly in UK. Tommy said "go for it, do anything you want I'm okay with it"! So, that started it all, the overt "courting" of Tommy on stage and him playing up to Adam. It was an ill advised play for the audience. Unfortunately the less intelligent, well balanced fans latched on to a make believe romance, egged on by fanfic, the lowest form of printed entertainment. Adam, who has a slightly warped sense of humor and propriety did not try really hard to squelch this Adommy crap and as it was a benefit that made the unknown, mediocre guitarist a popular romantic figure Tommy certainly wasn't going to end it. His chance at fame and fandom.
I'm sure they are friends and enjoy each other's company, but it's definitely a step up for Tommy. For him, anything goes.

If you recall, it was not that way with Monte, it was fairly obvious when he felt Adam was going over the line between teasing and tastelessness.

There are many who blame Tommy for poor choices Adam makes since few are willing to accept the fact that Adam is wrong in anything he does. "He is being true to himself" well, that may be true, but you also need a small voice in your head saying "maybe that's not such a good idea" on occasion.

Anonymous said...

Wow 7:27, are you God? Or some other supposedly all-knowing entity? adam's mother perhaps, BFF maybe? you seem to know an awful lot?!!????

in fairness, I'll add this: I do agree with a few things you said, like Adam's determination in wanting to bring back or have catch on at least temporarily a new wave of androgyny in pop/rock music scene ... And you stated your feelings very articulately in entire post ... But my oh my you feel pretty confident with your positions don't you? well, aDam does like confidence (just not entitlement, as I'm sure you know, or can recall him saying ;))

Anonymous said...

Wasn't an "I'll advised play" for me. speak for yourself please. perhaps not that deep? I'd like to consider myself fairly intelligent, not the lowest common denominator as you hint at some being, an I didn't crave Adommy, but didn't find it's outcome to be an ill advised play at all. just my POV

Anonymous said...

7:27 AM
Lol, I follow lots of Adam fans and I've never heard one "blame" Tommy for the kissing. It was just a stage game that got a positive reaction at concerts so he kept doing it. And no big deal one way or the other.

Anonymous said...

7:04, No, I don't choose Tommy over Adam. I choose Adam over all others. I just choose NOT to let Tommy rule my decisions about how I feel.

7:27, you are right. I've had similar thoughts about the whole Tommy thing. Adam thought it all up and Tommy went along. The "controversy" has given Tommy his own fame and why wouldn't he enjoy it? It keeps the excitement up, at least for some, even though none of it is true.

Adam's fearlessness and loyalty is both a blessing and a curse. He takes headlong risks. I'll admit I'm a big defender of his and I applaud his "go for it" attitude. But he doesn't seem to have anyone in his circle who just says NO NO NO. His management doesn't seem to say this. His sexually charged performances don't offend me as they do others, but we're all different. We want him to be true to himself and not compromise too much, but he needs someone he respects to tell him things he may not want to hear. You're right. He doesn't have that small voice in his head.

Adam has sung publicly since he was about ten years old. So, for twenty years, he has been praised and gushed over by tons of people. He's accustomed to being complimented. He's always been good-looking and has learned to accept compliments graciously. He isn't used to being criticized. He chose to live in the gay community of L.A. where alternative dress, theater, music and behavior is accepted and encouraged. It was his home and where he made his best friends. On Idol we only saw a fleeting glimpse of the Adam who had previously been WAY more "out there" than we ever saw on the show. He played his cards right on Idol but then went back to much of his pre-Idol persona. Heck, he figured it worded before, and people loved him in the L.A. clubs and the Zodiac Show, etc. He certainly has a fire in his belly about performing, there's no doubt. But he's a different breed who falls in no easy category. He's a marketing nightmare. If his own version of reality doesn't work, I predict he'll try new things. I DON'T think he wants to go back to the small clubs in L.A.

DRG

Anonymous said...

DRG, I am sure Adam DOES have people telling him things he does not want to hear. I think he just doesn't want to compromise so much that he doesn't feel he's being true to himself. I have to say, Adam does seem to be more natural than ever lately.

Anonymous said...

In the beginning Adommy was playing to the gallery i.e "to perform in a manner that will get the strong approval of the audience or to perform in a manner that will get the approval of the lower elements in the audience". Adommycrays are the lower elements and Adam is still looking for their approval.

Anonymous said...

8:27 AM

Lol, no. Not at all.

Anonymous said...

I've been here long enough that I know who likes Adam and who likes Tommy. I even know why the background is charcoal black, lol.

Anonymous said...

IMO the approach it was taken after Idol wasn't wise. I believe they wanted Adam to appeal to people outside of Idol bubble. But I think his AMA performance was so early in the game. He didn't perform anyone of his first album songs live any where. Even the most seasoned artists perform their songs live other places before going on big national TV awards. Before AMA Adam performed familiar songs of other artists on stage. Not his own original songs. AMA was early take for Adam. It created tons of buzz which is good but it created other things that it seems for people it is difficult to snap out of it. Whether we like it or not people in large have hang ups with that performance. In this fandom we have the Adommy crays who refuse to move on to new things.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Idol is part of the reason so many here are offended by some of Adam's behavior. Obviously to do well on Idol four years ago Adam needed to appeal to a mass audience and one where a large part of them are conservative Christians. (Jda making it to the Top 40 thankfully shows times are changing.) Now that he can be fully himself, which includes things that will highlight his orientation, some people seem to want him to pretend that doesn't exist. Adam has said he would rather be himself and have fewer fans. This is what he chooses for himself. He gets the career he wants, not the career you want for him. I know many of you mean well, recognize Adam's incredible talent and want him to be a huge mainstream star but that doesn't seem to be a compromise Adam is willing to make. If Adam isn't going to be the performer you want him to be, maybe it is time to either accept that or move on. I respect your right to an opinion but I am getting really tired of the mean comments and the arguements. If you don't like some of the act, fine, but for those of us who don't dislike it, please give us a break and stop whining and arguing about it. Please skip those vids that upset you and help us all find the common ground of what we so like about Adam and the performances. Please.

Of course Adam says he's happy with his small fan base. What do you expect him to say? That his unwillingness to compromise and his obsessive need to 'be himself' has forever cost him the chance of ever being thought of as a respected singer/songwriter who can fill stadiums and sell millions of records just by being heard on the radio, and not because your obsessive fans buy multiple copies of everything you put out?
And...he's moved on from his record company? Bullish*t. They dropped him. He's no longer selling music, therefore he's no longer making them money. Simple as that. But hey---at least he's being himself!

Anonymous said...

Nell, could you please go and stan person who sells millions and fills full stadiums? Like Justin Bieber, perhaps? What are you even doing on this website if Adam's career is already ovah? You are not very logical person, are you?

daydreamin said...

Thanks for having my back anon 5:20 and anon 5:56 really? Seriously? You obviously don't know Adam or don't want to.

Anonymous said...

I'd say he is still signed with them seeing as Sony was promoting Adam as recently as a couple of days ago.

Anonymous said...

Seems to me not being yourself in order to fill stadiums would be the real cost and one I wouldn't want to pay.

Anonymous said...

But then again, how many of you go to jobs you hate with bosses you despise in order tosupport yourself or family? Because you are a responsible person and you don't have the luxury of being yourself. Many people endure lives of quiet desperation because others rely on them. I'm sure it will sink in to Adam that free spirits sometimes have to clip their wings or crash.

Anonymous said...

4:44, remind me to not come to you for career advice or a pep talk. Your life must be pretty miserable.

Anonymous said...

Actually I'm completely happy, never had a job I didn't revel in and live a blessed life, but I have eyes and ears. Many people compromise to survive I'd have to be brain dead not to realize that.
