That is amazing! So happy for Adam especially with all the piracy issues in China. Will go to sleep with a huge smile on my face tonight!!!

Has the album just been released to China? If so, it's been a long time coming for them. Fantastic that it's #2 on Amazon.

WOW!!! ADAM is the only non-Chinese on the top of China Amazon!!!!

Anonymous said...

I didn't think this album would sell because of already being dl and out for nine months !! When you see pictures of Adam's fans over there some have the album already. So this is super great.

they are going to love the album.

Yes, GO GO GO, China!

Chinese Glamberts are amazing!

Push it to no. 1 and help keep there!

I wonder if it's as same as the one in US or UK!

Anonymous said...

OMG I wonder what the Chinese version is? Different bonus tracks? I remember hearing when Adam performed on the Voice of China that Trespassing CD was still getting the red tape worked out to sell it there. What a huge market! I'm praying it will sell millions!

Way to go Chinese Glamberts...Thank You!

It will soar especially after this Sunday, Chinese New Year, lots of hoongbao floating around. It's a real Koong Hei Fatt Choy for Adam in every sense of the word. Oh fatt choy meaning prosper, sounds like fartt not fat; although fat is pretty appropriate as fat connotes wealth too. lol!

thanks for the heads up Lam-my. Happy Chinese New Year China !!

I was watch the Wendy Williams show, she comes on monday thru Friday. And she is on the super bowl committee for next year, It will be in New Jersey, and she wants suggestions to bring up who you would like to see at the half time for entertainment. She stated to go to her facebook and write down who you want. Please go and enter Adam Lamberts name. I would love to see him proform. This would give him lots of exposure. Wouldn't that be nice.

@Lam-my
Do you know which version of the Trespassing album is for sale on Amazon China?

Anonymous said...

It's only for pre-sale right now. Can you imagine when it officially comes out and when he plays again in China? Hoping it is record sales for an American in China and that he sells billions of both albums. You know when they hear Tresspassing, they will want For Your Entertainment. The world is Adam's oyster. Now he just needs to rest up and get healthy and enjoy some serious down time.

For Adam haiku

Koong Hei Fatt Choy Adam
Hoongbao tao loy, meaning
I want a hoongbao...lol

Not to worry Adam, only married people have to dish out hoongbao; unmarried ones can give hoongbao to their parents, elderly people or to the needy.

9:18... You're most welcome!

9:34... No I don't know; maybe I'd try and look it up. :)

'No I don't know; maybe I'd try and look it up. :)' I'm 9:34pm - thanks.
And what does 'hoongbao' mean??

Anonymous said...

How is Adam feeling I hope he got over his cold or flu. That is very important to all of us that he stays happy & healthy.

Hoongbao are red packets with money in them; well, depending on one's circle of friends and a little bit of luck, these hoongbao can contain amounts of $1 to $1000 or more. I usually dish out $5, $10, a couple of times $100 and $1000. lol! Lately not so much, many grown-up children got married and working; and so have been 'disqualified' from receiving hoongbao. lol! The reverse takes place, they have to give out hoongbao. This is a Chinese New Year tradition. And you know what, some kids will pay visits to aunts and uncles whom they usually don't, to collect hoongbao; no, no, don't want to be so mean, lol! actually visiting relatives and friends on Chinese New Year Day is in itself a tradition. Thanks!

So for $13.20 we can buy Chinese version of Trespassing. That's not bad! I might order a couple of Trespassing Chinese Edition.

In HK the red packets are called lai see.....and all the miserable security men, waiters etc are now suddenly being nice, holding doors open, smiling etc in the hope of receiving one"!!!

Anonymous said...

HK fan
Yes that's Cantonese, even my aged Mom uses this word, lai see (mid-tone); bei foong lai see, meaning give a red packet. Yea you have observed correctly about smiling, opening of doors etc; not only that sometimes when they see you coming, they will wipe your car's windscreen if you're in the carpark, lol! or sweep the vicinity of the ground more intensely. But I feel it's okay, part of the festivities. I usually give them $5 if I do meet them. lol!

This needs to stay at the top for several days to end up at #1. Amazon and iTunes provide snapshots only. Doesn't mean much unless it stays there. I hope it stays there.

Anonymous said...

Congratulations again Adam! China loves you as does the rest of the world! No one deserves it more!>>...nancdruu2
P.S...Love you Chinese fans!

@Lam-my
Thanks very much for the explanation of 'hoongbao'. :)

Anonymous said...

Okay! Most welcome. Usually it's written as hongbao but to me hoong literally sounds the colour, red but hong does not sound like red at all; for the Chinese they know what it sounds like, either way. lol!

It would be great if TP does stay there to be officially #1, but just getting there at all is a real feat! Love learning about Chinese customs, too. This site is like going to a very weird college..

@ Lammy
I have several Vietnamese friends at work , last year one of the ladies gave us all $7.00
In new money for luck . Gotta say had a good year, is there any significanance in the amount or the fact that it's new . I've ask her but most of the time I can't understand a word any of them say... but it's funny we're great friends anyway .... supper glad about sales in China I was hoping glamberts were the same all over the globe and would buy to help Adam....rose petal

Anonymous said...

Chinese Glamberts, you rock! Hope the album stay #1 for quite a while. Very impressive it is way higher than Adele's Kesha's and Kelly Clarkson's greatest hits also! All being released around the same time!

Anonymous said...

Such great news for Adam, but then not surprising with his amazing talent and I was so impressed with the way he conducted himself while in China a real gentleman and a great ambassador for the US.

Anonymous said...

@ DRG....lol...yes a weird college, but fun! I too enjoy learning about other customs, but I LOVE collecting words in many languages! When I was a kindergarten director and frequent teacher, at storytime in my office I taught the 3's, 4's and 5 yr. olds to count and basic phrases and many songs in French, Italian, Spanish and German. It was such fun having a group of adorable willing "sponges" eager to soak up all they could. The parents looked forward to our International Program of music complete with costumes (made by my willing seamstress mother) each Spring.

I was so lucky, I had the best job in the world!!!!

Yes, I love it when we hear from Glamberts from across the globe. It really make things interesting, and, of course, shows how widely Adam is loved. I would love it if Adam continued to outsell Adele and Keisha and Kelly over there, not because I dislike them, but because it would show Adam's legitimate strength in the Asian market. But even if they do catch up, I applaud Adam for his hard work in grabbing onto his devoted Asian fans. Adam is different, and they seem to embrace that over there, not reject it. Maybe that is his strength.

HH
You are one of the really nice 24/7 glamberts, along with most of the 24/7 "weird college" people actually. lol! And you are most welcome! Wow, you know Chinese in the written form! I can only make out a few words in your thanks message.

Rose petal
$7, I would say is not a usual hoongbao amount; Chinese prefer to use even numbers, like $2,4,8,10 etc. Like I use $5 because it's one piece and I like green. $10 probably has both 'desirable' qualities, it's red (Sing) and an even number. So perhaps the colour and the currency amount might be a preference to the hoongbao giver...absolutely no hard and fast rule. Basically it's the amount that captures the imagination best! lol! And yea we try as far as possible to use fresh crisp notes hot from the mint. In fact I used to get a couple of such stacks of new notes issued by banks and the little lovely red packets. I've collected a whole bag of different design red packets dating way back 40+ years. By the way, Year of the Snake is extremely favourable to Adam/Bird of Paradise; lol! So I think we may be in for some really wonderful surprises. You can see, it has already started. lol! Take it with a wink of the eye. lol!

Well I don't like snakes, but if it will be a lucky year for Adam I will keep my mouth shut about him wearing snakeskin boots!....JAK :)

You live in a woody, ground-level area, must be so refreshing but have you actually had snake encounters like maybe coiled, in your bathroom or perhaps less scary, in your laundry area, drain etc. And how do you and your dutiful husband deal with that...:)

Lam-my

DRG
As head of Weird College, WC for short! lol! you now need to issue certificates to successful graduands, perhaps in three categories: Passed with flying colours / Passed with dim colours / Passed with no colours...lol!

Lam-my

Anonymous said...

How about Passed Out, you know those college kids.

Lammy, snakes in lakes, snakes in yards and occasionally in swimming pool.....if we can we throw them over our fence into a canal that leads to the bay, if we are sure they are a rattler or water moccasin....we call Sheriff's Dept. and a deputy comes and kills them...there are small children living next door!....JAK

Anonymous said...

JAK
So they don't actually crawl into your house...how do you prevent that...for that matter what about rats...poison/traps perhaps.

Lam-my

Anonymous said...

No creatures come into the house...
'cept humans. There are rats that live in the dead fronds of palm trees, but we rarely see one. We rarely see a snake. But since we have a tropical climate we do have creepy crawlies. However we also have beautiful snowy white egrets, pink flamingos, bluejays, red cardinals, mockingbirds, colorful parakeets, seagulls, pelicans and chameleons. Lots of chameleons!
Florida (which means Land of Flowers) is well named. Right now we have pink and white and fuschia azaleas blooming, oleanders, pansies and petunias, yellow and lavendar blooming trees and soon orange blossoms fragrance will fill the air! It's sort of like The Garden of Eden with a few pesky inhabitants!...JAK
