After watching all these vids, it's certainly true that Adam did NOT hold back vocally on this show! He gave it all he had, great glory notes and lots of extras. LOVED it all! The crowd was ecstatic. Gotta love Pop That Lock with that little three-way dance with Terrance, Johnny and Adam, esp. when Adam gave it that extra little "oomph." LOL. Thanks for all the great links.

Only Adam can wear dorky blue 3-D glasses and make them look cool. Of course, they're in "Glambert blue."

Been voting on the cutest guy thing. Hope we pull it off!

The only one thing that for the past four years nobody complains about is HIS OUT OF THIS WORLD VOCALS. No wonder he snatched a Grammy Nominee as best male vocalist and IMO he deserved to win that category if the win was in consideration of best vocals. One reason that Mars won that category was because he worked for so long in the industry writing and creating music for others. Otherwise, if the voting was fair judged only on vocals Adam should have won it. Anyway, I am gonna go watch these videos again cause my hunger for Adam's voice never ends!

I just came from the PopDust poll and voted but I don't know if it took my vote, no score was showing and nothing saying vote again or anything.

I would love to go see Adam at the Gay Pride rally in Florida. I should get off my butt and get planning now. There was a FB link that gave some hotel and airfare advice I hope I can find it again.

Lam-my, dear
whatever you're doing now can wait , a chat about our dear Adam, a hedonist, a Carpe Diem disciple,a wise person like us( hmm,I have my doubts regarding Adam's wisdom LOL)knows, never miss a pleasure, there's time for everything!
You need more exercise and practice for your future live concerts especially if Adam decides to sing more rockish songs ,LOL, peeps, young peeps don't attend concerts primarily to listen to music, pop concert goers are there to be amazed by the spectacularity of the show , props, visual effects, dancers , to be part of the excitement.

Yesterday,I spent 2 hours of my life doing some research. Here's my report on "where the heck Gaga's band and back up singers are staying on the stage"!(whether we like it or not, she and her concerts are the standard of a successful pop concert). And I'm sure you've already guessed, they are almost invisible, and audible in the right proportion, so as not to brutally interfere with the vocalist's singing, which btw is far from being great. In Adam's case his great voice should have , at least, sections like the only-in-my-mind-cabaret section,so that his impeccable vocal technique to be put into valor. What do you think?

I liked your comment. It was full of good points. And I was just about to launch a position for Adam's song choices for his current tour (non-tour?) and the place vocal ability and showcasing vocal ability might come in to play... but then, ya know what, I pondered about it a minute longer and thought: Well heck, every single song I hear Adam sing, pretty much every single song every single time in every single video in every single venue - Adam's voice is AMAZING, is being showcased as full of range, nuance, layers, technique, etc. He does take the opportunity of every song in his setlist to showcase his incredible vocal prowess, regardless of its being PTL or Stay or Fever or WWFM or Naked Love or any of them, IMHO. I sort of think he can't really help it actually, it's organic... I found what he did with "Are you gonna go my way" INCREDIBLE vocally, as stunning as what he did with "Soaked" in the GNT. I think his voice was showcased as beautifully with "Strut" as it was with "Broken Open"... showcased as skillfully with "Cuckoo" or "Shady" as it is with "Underneath" or "Nirvana". In my view, one has only to listen to see what amazing things he does with any song at any moment! After mulling this over in my own mind, I really don't see the merit in this debate about what songs showcase his voice best. THEY ALL DO, because ADAM does the work himself, puts forth the effort and interest when he performs them each time. I think he's delivered amazing vocals on Kickin In and Chokehold and Broken English and gosh, even the "Shout" in Singapore was full of cool notes I felt. I understand it's all a very personal preference thing, a subjective thing fraught with room for debate :)... except that I also believe it's kind of not necesary to debate it, because my ears seem to tell me that he showcases his vocal prowess in all his songs, one way or another. Just a matter of opinion I guess, that's mine :). I'm open to hearing all opinions. :)

I think because Adam has been performing on smaller stage areas that it seems the band members, backup singers and dancers are all on top of each other. I also look at other performers on stage during production numbers and their backup singers are usually to the side and not directly in back of the performer where they could be distracting. The band members are usually also in the background unless there is a guitar solo during the song. As far as the dancers, there usually is interaction with the performer, but in many cases, since the artist is lip synching and cant dance around at the same time, it covers up this lack of a live performance. Adam always sings live and yes, at times the dancers are distracting. He will do the type of show he wants and will make any changes he wants no matter what we think or say. He will never satisfy or please all of his followers or those who do not like him at all. So be it. I appreciate his vocal talent and his amazing stage presence. He is just an outstanding performer in a business filled with so much mediocrity, crassness and lack of talent. Love watching any of the videos posted here of his concerts in China, Japan, etc. and look forward to the new set of concerts that will happen within the next several weeks.

"All opinions"...is mine, again.LOL
There's no rule without exception, mine is to not have arguments with Anons, however interesting their opinions might be!We won't have any argument because we, all 3 are preaching to the choir. It is not I who have to be convinced how amazing Adam's live performances are, I've been doing the same thing for quite a while on another forum with another tag.I'm only giving more thought than before to a matter that concerns Adam's future , are his band members skillful enough to play more rockish songs IF he chooses to.I'm really not interested in how cute(oh, how I hate this word when speaking about men of 31, 32 years old!) the band members are, I'm only interested that the current musical director to not mistake the loud sounds with rock, I'm only interested that if Adam and his management decide to keep them ,their progress should be quick and audible. Paradoxically, the one I trusted less, TJR, succeeded to learn some riffs, anyway he seems the most ambitious of all.
The current tour, with a not very original name, in my opinion, its success in Asia seemed to have taken everybody by surprise, many of the things the back up singers or the dancers are doing on the stage seemed , not so evident now, to have been improvised.A pro could have fixed , their sometimes chaotic movements on the stage in less than a week.Where are Adam's friends from Zodiac and GNT eras?
