very good!! Underneath should deff be used this year on SYTYCd or MAP would be another great song.
Really good!
Nice job! It's a very challenging song. I hope everyone in that audience is aware of where that song came from and who sings it on the record. Maybe, just maybe, a few more people will pick up a copy of Trespassing.
DRG
Good performance! Did she sing "Such a beautiful release. You beside me" not Adam's words "you inside of me"?
Has anybody heard anything more about Adam being on the finale of Idol??( or not,for sure)I still say he SHOULD be and "Underneath" or "Shady" could be good choices. The girl was pretty good.
In the booklet that came w/the CD( deluxe Trespassing) some words were completely left out..the sentence w/"inside of me" could be taken 2 ways, but I don't think BB meant it the sexual way.I HOPE that everyone does know that U did come from Trespassing also,DRG.
She looks frozen scared, but did a fantastic job of covering Adam's song, considering. Keep it up, girl. atm
She picked a very hard song of Adam's to sing, not bad for her age. Whenever I hear anyone of all different levels of singing do one of Adam's songs I realize how easy Adam makes singing seem because he is so talented and well trained. Also the way he interprets the lyrics and put his heart and soul into the song.
That was an admirable performance of a very difficult song to sing; however, no contestants on singing shows have to worry about her. Yes I know she's young, but she's listened to the record and she should know when to belt.
I've never considered the lyric "you inside if me" as anything other than I've stripped away all my facade and am showing you the real and complete me-what a beautiful release to be completely honest. I'm pretty sure all of us would have a lot to reveal Underneath. kk
To me it always very clear that "You inside of me" was not a sexual reference or innuendo. (On a funny sidenote, imho Adam is usually pretty clear when he's being sassy with a sexual innuendo :)).
I think "You inside of me" is meant in a sexual way but I guess it's whatever way one wants to take it.
A nice, pure voice but her performance was very wooden. However, she's a youngster and her performance will improve with more experience and tuition. Congratulations to her for winning the competition.
However the lyrics are meant, that song is just beautiful. Her presentation needs work but she very young and can certainly improve on that. She has a very nice voice did a good job. Obviously likes Adam music good taste. That is a very hard song to sing there were couple places she pulled back on that did need a some belting. But we're use to Adam and he been doing it much longer and knows when to belt those notes out. That will come with time and practice. Honey you did a good job just practice and work, hard and you certainly could become a competitor. It takes a lot of work and determination. Adam worked very hard on his voice yes he had a fabulous gift he was born with. But ever since he was a child he kept working hard to improve on his voice and his range, and his stage presence that part is real important, was one of the things that really set Adam apart, and he worked on that from an early age. So keep working hard you can achieve those dreams! Sue
To me the young girl sang the PG version of UNDERNEATH. I definitely believe, "you inside of me" was meant to be a sexual reference. The song titled Underneath says it all. Just my opinion. The song is beautiful whatever....nancdruuu2
