I just watched Velvet Goldmine, as we know Adam's favorite movie.Now I see why, I thought all his life as an adult was totally unique to him, but I see now he is mesmorized by the movie. None of us really knows much about Adam's finances and why should we. It is none of our business. He struggled for a long time trying to establish himself in his music career and so why shouldn't he take adavantage of an event where they are willing to pay him to be seen there. Adam likes to look good in the latest stylish clothes and that costs money. He has rent to pay and all the other bills that most of us have on a monthly basis and then some related to his music career. Being out and socializing is all part of his career and networking to keep his name in the public eye . Meeting new people may also open up opportunities for future job prospects. Most of us will never experience that kind of lifestyle and we can live vicariously through Adam and these pictures or vids we see here. I would hope that all of us as fans see Adam achieve the recognition and success that he so deserves in the crazy and unpredictable world of music.

@2:39- I think I agree with your comment about the one million dollars not donated directly by Adam but from his fans to charities he supports. At this stage of his career I don't believe he has that kind of money to donate yet. I obviously have no knowledge of his financial status, so this is just my guess. Lending his name or appearing at an event for charity by giving his time and entertainment is just one way a celeb can donate. Someone mentioned Kris(Allen) in a comment. I wonder if Adam sent congrats to Kris and his wife upon the birth of their son recently. I would like to have heard or read something about that.
