Avicii talked about Adam Lambert in a new interview:
QUESTION: One of the tracks on True that we are hoping is the next single is “Lay It Down” with Adam Lambert. What was it like working with Adam?
AVICII: It was great. Adam has an amazing voice. More than anything, he’s also a great writer. But his voice is just insane! He’s like a reincarnation of Freddie Mercury. Actually more like a mixture of Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant.
QUESTION: Is that what attracted you to working with Adam? His showmanship as a performer?
AVICII: Yeah, I think so. It was Nile Rodgers that kinda had the connection with him and brought him down to put the vocals on a demo that Nile and I did. We weren’t even intending to have him sing on the final track. But then he did such an amazing job on the demo, we were like, “Why go look for someone else? It’s brilliant as it is.”
There was another song we did with Adam. It was about going down on a girl. He was like “well it’s not for me, but I’ll sing it. I’ll do it for the people, I’ll go down for the people” One way or another we all go down!

Haha, He'll go down for the people.Love him!Avicii really has high praise for Adam's voice,guess we won't be hearing the other song. With Avicii now switching to Hey Brother vs. LMD as he said previously being his favorite song ,maybe HB will be the next single. But really after WMU it makes Avicii look like a country EDM DJ. LMD would be great in between the 2 more country songs. We'll have to wait and see.Yes Adam's voice is insane!

C'mon, Avicii, choose LMD at the next single. I agree with 7:57. It would be a good change between WMU and HB. Love Av's praise for Adam. I can't imagine that they were actually considering using someone other than Adam to do the song. But when Adam sang, that was it. There was no other choice. Praying for LMD.

It's wise for Avicii to release LMD after YMM. LMD is great representation of EDM. HB is follow up to WMU. Country vibe. I doubt Avicii wants to have same sound to his music. True has diverse sound of tracks.
I never heard Avicii neither. But I never heard about Fun or Drake or Train before I started to follow Adam:)

I was just listening to the iHeart radio Music Festival app on my iPad. They're playing continuous performances of the whole festival, both nights and the Sat. Afternoon session as well. So I listened for about one hour hoping that they would play one of the Queen songs with Adam.....they played one Queen song but it was Somebody To Love with Fun!!!
I don't be want to be a Debbie Downer but I'm concerned that when the Festival is broadcast on the CW Channel next Mon. &Tues. that the clips they choose to televise of Queen will be the Fun ones ( although I really enjoyed FBG with Adam and Nate). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some with Adam too. Thoughts anyone?

Avicii is huge in Europe and well known among EDM and house music fans in the US. Even in the US Avicii's song Levels was huge. Kinda surprised you hadn't heard of fun. or Train.
I suggest Avicii releases all the country music related singles in US and LMD for Europe and the rest of the world. How does that sound?

I think You Make Me will be skipped over in the U.S. It's not blowing up the charts in Europe and WMU is still going strong in the U.S. but peaked in Europe. I think YMM is a filler for Europe then hopefully LMD an international release. JMO. Then probably Hey Brother next.

Hey Brother :( Oh brother I am afraid that this is bad news. Very, very bad news for our wish for Adams break though to US radio. Avivii now saying that his favorite song is "Hey Brother" means that he is leaning toward that as third single. There is no other way to interpret his words. Big tears in my eyes... How could he? Did Avicii release HB as single? When?
Great article(titanium idol) about Adam and his place in music today. If you are a fan, you can see that Adam has matured, he's changed his look, his style and has this subtle sex appeal that makes your heart skip a few beats. Adam is the best vocal talent in music today and it's good to see others also recognizing his amazing performance with Queen at the iheart concerts. Hopefully his appearance on Glee will bring new fans into his mesmerizing sphere and reintroduce him to those who have lost track of his career after his Idol days. I think after so many of today's young performers have been forgotten, Adam will have had longevity in the music business because of his incredible talent and dynamic stage presence. He is truly unique in a world of untalented, lip synching, auto-tuned, crass performers.

Tim doesn't make the decision by himself. He doesn't just pick his favorite song. The label decides which will be the best choice for radio. Hey brother sold the most on iTunes and maybe they think another country song will do best right now. But nothing official yet and not for awhile probably.
