Oh, how much I love HIS voice, M

Always liked MTN from Gaga,don't know why it wasn't a bigger hit. then I listened to Adam's voice, the only one that gives me goosebumps and makes me feel emotions so intensely!I love when he lets loose with his voice,I hope on his next album he lets that voice loose because for me there is no other like it!

I really like Gaga, but Adam's voice has a richness and depth that is rare, esp. in pop singers. He just brings a warth to the sound that I really love. I hope LOTS of people are watching when he sings this on Glee. I wonder if he'll sing the whole thing, or if it'll be shortened version.

Adam's voice soars and gives me chills! He has that certain something no other singer has - his voice is beautiful and sexy at the same time! When Adam reaches for the high notes, he is in his sown league. No other artist can touch him although I think Ga Ga did a fine job. Adam is otherwordly in voice quality and clarity. LOVE HIMMMMMM!

To admin -- would it be possible to change the Adam vs Lady Gaga to "Versions of Adam and Lady Gaga." They are both so wonderful and I am hoping that one day soon they perform together and that he sings even more of her songs besides "Fever" and "Marry the Night" so it doesn't seem to benefit either of them to use an expression that pits them against each other. Besides, I am so tired of war and the language of war. They are both lover of humanity types. Thanks for at least considering this request.

I've already listened many times and I'm blown away by Adam and his talent. Not taking anything away from Gaga but no one can come close to Adam's vocals. First time I listened I was speechless....no other words.

JAK here.....of course I'm going to like Adam's version better....l'm a fan of his. But...L.Gaga is an unusual talent.
Her lyrics are a love song to NYC and teamed up again with Garibay who came thru with a pounding electro-disco sound the song makes you dance standing or sitting!

Simply can't wait to SEE Adam perform it....does it seem to you, as it does to me, that all his appearances this past year, hosting, performances and collaborations are a plan to liberally "pepper" the music world with "look what I can do" deliberation? He's here, there and everywhere. It's like a blitz!

If only I represented the music awards show, I'd surrender and turn over the Grammys to him in defeat.

I'm amazed, stunned, thrilled, over the moon, joyful, happy, shivering, quivering, quaking, shaking, delighted, excited, weak in the knees. World, are you listening? I'm in love with Adam Lambert's voice. I can die happy now. >-->o

Both great singers in their own right, but I think Adam sank her battleship on this one. NO one sings like him in the business.

Anonymous said...

Adam's version is so much better for a number of reasons.
1. The VOICE - nobody compares to Adam
2. The diction - I can hear and understand every word
3. The production - more organic, heavier drums, better backup singers. It simply completely outshines the original
4. The ending - Adam's version has a real power ending instead of the 40 seconds of nonsense that has been added to the Gaga version.

To be totally honest I never really liked this song until now. I was actually not too happy that they had chosen it to be Adam's first song on Glee. However, he proved me wrong. Now I love it! He actually makes me see Lady Gaga, the songwriter, in a new, much more flattering light. That's the power of a brilliant singer.

I think what Brian May and Roger Taylor stated that it's how Adam interprets a song that makes him so amazing was right on the mark!It is like listening to a story when he sings,beside the fact that he has the best vocals. He can take a just so so song and make it great,though I think MTN is way more than a so so song.Adam can make singing the abc's wonderful lol.

Want to thank admin. for taking out any negative comments. It now makes this site a joy to come to,read and post. It's so great how we can all feel each others excitement and energy for Adam singing this song with perfection and the anticipation of watching Glee on Nov. 7th! I love him so much as we all do!!!!

@1:03PM

Now tell us how your really feel? Ha, ha. Great post. Adam is truly out of this world with; with those out of this world vocals.

The thing is people, that for the last few weeks, PH has had a feud with no other than Lady Gaga. So, for him to even promote Adam singing a 'Lady Gaga' song is incredible. Furthermore, he has also written great articles about Adam lately. For all this, I thank PH.

That was wonderful! I never did like the song and now I love it. GaGa version good she a very good singer. I certainly don't want to pit them against each other in a dog eat dog business their in. She a very good talent and singer. Adam was superior on this one to me. That was flat amaze balls, to quote Adam. I loved it to pieces. Sue

I feel the same as 1:03...only more!!! Adam really takes Gaga to school on this...he just proves over and over again that he is the absolute BEST in the business..and I also thank you Admin. for allowing this to be a fun filled site!!

For me, Adam has the best voice in music today. He can sing anything from a medley of Queen songs to MTN by Gaga. So why isn't he recording songs like this that Gaga, Pink,etc. include in their albums. I realize they do write some of their own songs, but aren't there other writers and producers they work with that Adam could also use to get radio play and a hit record. I just think he is so underappreciated in the music world and watching him on Glee will hopefully bring him a whole new audience of listeners wanting to hear so much more from him. I just told a friend today that Adam would be on Glee next week and she didn't even know that esp. since she hasn't watched the show lately. She thanked me for letting her know and I am sending her some of these links to get a preview of what she will hear.

Please listen to the official to increase numbers of plays for this. Don't listen to fans' made rip of this track. Listen:

Radio music director's are a big problem; that needs to change their awful ways in seemingly banning Adam's music from being played on radio; in my and many others opinions. This somehow needs to get set right.

Anonymous said...

Can someone tweet @Lilybop2010 not to rip originals from the official source cause we want people to listen to the official that Glee posted for more play counts. Now media is posting her youtube rip instead of the official soundcloud track. Some people just don't have brain to think before stealing from the source and making it their own.

Anonymous said...

If media is linking to lilybop's version instead of the Glee version she needs to take hers down right now.

We should all be listening to and sharing the Glee version.

Adam Lambert I love this version of Marry the Night..you are an amazing talent..just am in love with your voice...Love love this..please don't ever stop singing and performing and well just being your amazing self..@1:03 I am right there with you...love this

I've noticed in other sites, comments
hating on Adam, especially his singing, are dwindling. Is Adam singing sense into their heads? Or they're realizing denying his talent futile? Adam, just keep on waving over us that magic wand of a voice to calm the savage breast or beast.

Adam's voice is sexiduction indeed!!!:)

He is really freaking genius and one in a billion he!he!

He is a threat to any singers right now!!!:)

@ANON 3:21 PM
Not so sure that would be a good idea, because then there would be no linked video for those sites/blogs that have already embedded it as the vid for people to listen to. It's being featured on radio station sites, etc.. etc.. Seems at this point the important thing is for people to hear him sing it.. He's getting huge media attention today and I truly believe it's all good. Just the beginning for the accolades for Adam and his Glee association. I do understand what you're saying tho.

Anonymous said...

@1:03
Oh, JAK - Flail all you want, be in love (with his voice), but don't you dare think about leaving us... Capisco?!
:)))

Anonymous said...

@glitzylady if glee takes down Lily's ripped version then people, who will visit these sites that linked her version instead of Glee's version, won't be able to listen to it. She should wait couple of days before stealing the original version.

glitzylady said...

@Anon 4:09 PM
Again, I understand what you're saying..but it's too late for now.. Do you see what I'm saying?? Many sites have the official Soundcloud version from Glee as well, which is wonderful. And as it should be...

There are several ripped versions out there at this point and this one here on the 24/7 blog isn't even the one you are referring to by the way..

It'll all work out....

glitzylady said...

One more comment (sorry..). The really big sites (Yahoo music, Idolator...etc.. etc.. )are all using the Soundcloud version... so Yay!!! No worries!

Anonymous said...

The more views the better, wherever they are. Also love the little tweet saying that Adam is working on his own music in the studio. Now, I do hope THAT is true!! Now, back to my gleeking, flailing and even a little twerking.

I have to disagree. If lilybop takes hers down most sites will fix their link to go to an active site. If they don't, readers may be interested enough to google it and look for an active site.

The point that lilybop and others must take from this is don't post ripped versions when it is important for something like the official Glee version to be getting the hits. It does harm Adam in the long run. More than deleting lilybop's rip today would.

Anonymous said...

It's also possible Glee will get wind of Lilybop's rip and have it taken down.

She should take it down now and if possible leave a link to the Official Glee soundcloud version in it's place.

Anonymous said...

Yap yap yap

glitzylady said...

@Anon 5:00 PM
Now that's an idea that makes sense! Thanks for suggesting that... I do want to reiterate that Lilybop's is just one of several rips.

So, the best thought of all is to go to the Glee official Soundcloud and listen, listen, listen!!!

The Glee Official Soundcloud of Marry The NIght by Adam Lambert

https://soundcloud.com/gleethemusic/marry-the-night/s-XQCbi

Give it LOTS of hits....

Anonymous said...

Some things that Adam Lambert's fans need to understand is, since Adam's music isn't played on the radio in US, our only hope is to give him tons of social media hits on official sites to prove that he is popular and talented. When something new comes up and fans immediately steal it or rip it that takes away from popularity of Adam on these official sites. This is something fans of other artists know it and always trying to prevent any type of stealing and they view or listen to their artists' songs on official sites to increase the visibility of their favorite artists.

For Adam, Internet and Official Social Media sites are the keys for his popularity and as much as we can we should like, view, listen, comment, and share any vital new news that can boost Adam's visibility.

Hope from now on Adam's fans can understand this!

Can't get enough of this song......GaGa's a genius I love her songs and Adam's voice is out of this world.

BTW Billboard takes into account, view or play counts of these official social media sites for an artist. Remember there was an article about it last year.

@Anon 6:20 PM and 6:26 PM
Thanks. Points taken :))

Anonymous said...

6:20 the only thing I would add is to keep those comments nice. It seems the usual commenters often make a disparaging remark about radio or other performers at the same time. For example saying Adam is way better than GaGa on those sites just makes enemies of GaGa's fans. Comparing Adam to when you saw Elvis doesn't help either.

Please remember to not offend others on those big general sites.

Anonymous said...

I agree, Elvis should be left out of all posts...especially since he's hardly relavent to Adam 36 years after his death....JAK

daydreamin said...

Soundcloud has over 86,000 hits now and nearing 600 comments!! Adam so deserves this! He is increasing his exposure in so many places and in so many different ways. People are noticing!

@JAK and anon 3:42 agree!!

glitzylady said...

And....it (Elvis references..) clearly identifies the commenters as "older" fans. Demographics are important in the radio/music world today.... Comments on "General" sites should be kept age neutral as much as possible. And as the commenter above said, be nice...

It bothers me when I see comments that disparage or put down other singers when talking about how amazing Adam is. And the "yelling" at radio stations because of lack of radio play isn't helpful. As we've found out. Old news.. Hoping that will change. Adam appearing and singing on GLEE is huge for him and I have a feeling it's a turning point in his career. So excited for him!

Anonymous said...

I've heard many older fans refer to Adam as a modern day Elvis,so these fans do recognise that Adam is not trying to mimmick Elvis but just like Elvis he has something very unique to offer. These fans are paying Adam a huge compliment and it's not right to go putting down older fans who see Adam in this way in fact it's discriminating against them just because they are older. Everyone has the right to love Adam in there own way. Very few artists have had the talent that Elvis had but Adam comes very close.

Anonymous said...

While comparing gaga's and adam's version might be just a fun thing, i think it would be petty to say that adam's version is WAY better than gaga's...esp in other sites, GLAMBERT should try not to make enemies from the monsters..lets appreciate the two extraordinary artistes.
BTW; i love laga gaga and obsessed with Adam.

Southafrica loves adam !

Anonymous said...

Well I'm going to be honest here, I don't like GaGa and I think Adam is way better. He is a master at taking an average song and turning it into something spectacular proving he is a cut above the rest.

Anonymous said...

Anon 9:39
no one is saying Adam isnt great, but you could be more diplomatic in your choice of words, Fans take offense at such things you know?
Lets help Adam get new fans not enemies,

glitzylady said...

@Anon 9:33 PM
Those of us here (myself included) who are advising caution when comparing Adam to Elvis on "public" and radio station sites in particular are not putting anyone down. I'm not a "spring chicken" myself. I was still a fairly young child when Elvis was in his heyday but I appreciate him for his talent. He was a fabulous entertainer and singer in his day. What I was mentioning was the "demographic" that is most sought after by radio currently. And the over 50 age group isn't it. Just some thoughts but no putting down of ANY age group. Since I'm in that "older" fans (over 40+)...age group, I'd be the last person to disparage anyone for being a loyal fan of either Adam OR Elvis, or anyone else for that matter. Because Adam appreciates ALL of his fans... Just being honest here.....

Anonymous said...

9:45 PM
Sorry if you found my comment to be offensive as that wasn't my intention, I was simply giving my honest opinion. I think it's important to realise that we can't all agree on every little thing. GaGa is talented but just not my cup of tea at the same time I totally respect peoples right to follow any artist they choose too, after all we do live in a democracy don't we? I hardly think my comment will prevent Adam from gaining new fans, his talent speaks for itself and people will either love him or not.

Anonymous said...

Glitzy, I understand what you mean but nothing can change the fact that Adam does have a very diverse fan base covering all age groups from all walks of life, his first album FYE was huge on radio, TP not so big but I don't think this was due to Adams fans and their ages. I think it had more to do with the content of his album. Hopefully his next album will be more mainstream and get more radio play, and hopefully Glee will open the doors for this too happen.

@Anon 10:20 PM
I understand what you're saying and I agree completely, in that Adam has a fan base encompassing all age groups. So very true! In my family alone, we have 3 generations of Adam Lambert fans.. And at concerts you see fans of all ages..at least at "all ages" concerts :)). Not what I'm saying at all, that the older fans should just disappear or be quiet or not express their feelings and appreciation. Because we are a very solid and supportive part of the fandom.

I do however feel that a certain part of the issue with Trespassing era music not being played on the radio was **possibly** the perceived fan base. The "not our demographic" that I heard somewhat vaguely referred to by radio DJ's personally, as one of the reasons they weren't allowed to play his music. And perhaps not the only "demographic" they were referring to. Again, sadly. And I do agree that it was more complicated than that. Much more complicated. . And unfairly IMO.

Hopefully Adam's next album will be more widely appreciated. This Glee association is going to be very very good for him, with the potential to reach a wide variety of new fans, particularly in that sought after for Top 40 target teen and twenty-something age group. Every little bit helps.. And Glee should help a LOT with that....Fingers crossed!

I don't plan on going anywhere by fading into the shadows and being silent just because I'm an "older" fan. I just don't plan on comparing him to Elvis (even though there are certain similarities in some respects..) on any major "public" website comment sections.. That's all. :))))) Not that big a deal.. Nothing wrong with doing it here tho! This is an Adam Lambert fan-site..and anything goes as long as it's relatively nice :)), at least that's how I feel about it! I appreciate your honest feelings and thoughts so don't let me upset you by my thoughts on the subject.

PS: I love the fact that we can discuss a thought or a concept here now without getting into a heated argument. SOOO much better than it was until very recently. Sharing of ideas is wonderful! Especially when the subject is Adam Lambert!

Peace, Love and Light

Anonymous said...

9:33, there was no attempt to put down the older fans. There are quite a few people 60+ and 70+ on this site. If you are old enough to remember Elvis.... The point was do not mention that on the general sites because young people, the demographic radio loves, don't want to be fans of the same singer as their grandma.

10:06, no problem with your comment if it is made here. The point is it does do harm to Adam when a comment like that is made on a general website or a website that isn't just about Adam. Regardless of what we think of GaGa, we want her fans to love Adam too.

The point is: Please don't offend fans of other performers when on other sites.

Gaga is a great artiste, adam is exceptional.

I love both Adam and Gaga's versions.

Anonymous said...

Both are great!!

At the risk of being screamed at from a great height, I think the backing (band) is too loud on Adam's version but maybe it won't be in the song that's released.

Anonymous said...

4:07 AM.....Nah.....60 year olds are just kids....now if you want to talk old, talk to me. I will be 78 in a
month...approaching old age!

BTW...Elvis and I were born the same year and though I didn't care for him personally I slept all night in a lawn chair outside the record store (a quaint 1950s structure) on more than one occasion when a new '45' record was going to be sold.I wanted to be one of the lucky ones to get his newest.
They always sold out within hours.

He was the musical phenomena of the 50s as much as The Beatles in the 60s! I was a fan but strangely I don't see the correlation between Elvis and Adam that so many of you do.......but he was hot stuff for his time.....JAK

Anonymous said...

@ 5:03....I also think the band is too loud....you know the scene in Dirty Dancing when Patrick Swayze says "nobody puts Baby in a corner." That's how I feel when I hear Avicii's Lay Me Down and so far the track I've heard of Marry the Night......"Nobody should try to drown out Adam's voice"...."Cut that out" !!!!! But I still love both songs....JAK

glitzylady said...

Haha! I wasn't saying 40+ is old (heck no!!), just referring to the target audience for Top 40 music in my earlier comment.. :))

I think the Adam - Elvis comparison is a fair one. Paula said in her judging remarks that he reminded her of Elvis. And AI brought Adam back to mentor the contestants on Elvis week the year following his time on AI, unprecedented at the time and today.
