Okay back to Starchild, whoa! Adam in drag fashion...that's something radical in the standard Glee psychodrama. Hmm expecting some serious acting from Adam and Kurt/Chris C. Actually this typecast is nothing new to Adam; he's done this on a big stage production before. Way to go Adam, show must go on, your handsome, effervescent style.

The Velvet Goldmine bit had to come from Adam himself as he has mentioned many times that The Velvet Goldmine is his favorite movie and has been a source of inspiration for him. If this is true, it means the creators of Glee have a lot of faith in Adam and respect him a lot. We don't know if this is true, but I sure hope it is! It sounds so great!>>>>>>>

According to previous Glee casting news, this Elliott character, Adam plays is a handsome academic, not a young student. So the teacher-student scenario is out the window. lol! It's more likely something to do with music/band/audition rivalry. Looks like Kurt may be playing the envious guy and there's a bully thrown in the mix of the entanglement. lol! Woah-Lam-my @9:43, that is one hellava perfect description of our boy! Now, while we are on the topic of Moby Dick's whale, I had lunch with my girlfriend today and we got to talking about Adam's performance with Queen at IHeart. I made a comment to her about the incredible outfit that Adam wore that night. She said in reply, "Oh, yes, he had on those great Burger King pants". I fell for it, and asked what she meant. Her reply, "he had his whopper in them"! I know, I know, totally tasteless, but she got a good laugh out of me. She thanked me for turning her on to Adam and his music and feels he is uber talented in the auto tuned world of today. She is a classical pianist and violinist in Florida and rarely listens to pop or rock and roll. I was very proud that she considers herself a Glambert, sort of, kind of,-though not in my category of devoted Glamberts.

Hello, Lam-my-do me a favor. Have you ever seen the movie, "Velvet Goldmine", Adam's all time favorite? OK, google the song from the movie, which is titled, "Gimme Danger". Ewan McGregor sings the song in the movie. Anyhow, after you watch him performing this song, can you just imagine our Rock God, Adam, singing this track on stage in his supine position? This is my very favorite track from the movie and I know Adam could just kill this song on stage with all his dance moves and antics on the floor. I would pay big bucks to watch Adam perform, "Gimme Danger", as a finale to one of his concerts!!! I imagine "Starchild" to be like Curt Wild, who is played by actor Ewan McGregor in "Velvet Goldmine".

I actually like the song Gimme Danger, the lyric-rap and the rhythm. Yes, suits Adam's sexiness like you say the supine writhing on stage...oooh. I think Adam would be able to bring out the song with more powerful singing. Never heard it before nor the singer. I think our original Cuckoo Poetry Club suddenly crystalised out of the blue. I used to be the poetic lone-ranger and you too but now we always have company...a beautiful efflorescence...Mmm perhaps brilliant Jupiter I see in the night sky, looking up from my balcony, is showering good luck stardust from the Milky Way. lwl! Once I pointed it out to my son that the brilliant planet which I see at this moment from my balcony, is Jupiter. And he poured a whole bucket of cold water when he said he thought it was a satellite! Mmm...But I checked with google and it showed the position of Jupiter in relation to the crescent moon like right now. Got to check it out again. lol!

@Lam-my....you're seeing the planets in the night sky and I'm seeing golden fingers of dawn creeping across my lawn.
Droplets of dew on the blades of grass sparkle like diamonds in the light of the sun. In my yard there are drifts of bright yellow fallen Raintree blossoms and some blossoms are riding the ripples in my pool. The squirrels are awake and tiptoeing along the top of my fence.

Your day is ending and mine has just begun.....it's not really a small world in that sense..........Happy Dreams......JAK

I really won't believe any of the rumors or speculatin about Adam's role on Glee until he makes a comment about it and then we actually get to see the episode. The name of the character might be correct, but everything else is a guessing game as of now.

@ Lam-my.....Poe is one of my favorites and at one time I could recite the whole loooooong poem The Raven. My girls loved it cause I spoke in a whispery spooky voice......they always jumped at "and each separate dying ember wrought it's GHOST upon the floor!" They also liked The Rime of the Ancient Mariner......every time we went on a cruise ship we'd stand at the rail and recite "water, water everywhere and all the boards did shrink...water water everywhere; Nor any a drop to drink".

We are never at a loss for an appropriate to the occasion quotation.

My kids lived thru a weird childhood with a weird mom. They turned out quite sane though and surprisingly literary. When my g'son was a sophomore in college I asked him what new things he was learning....he said "nothing, I've already been to the University of Grandma!" Ouch....the curse of having a teacher for a mom or Grandma......we love to teach!.......JAK

Regarding the term 'drag' described as a Bowie style/fashion Adam is portraying, the term may be a bit misleading. Bowie style comes across as avant-garde not so much 'drag' I think.

Fun thread everone! From Velvet Goldmine to Moby Dick. Who would think? The excitement for Glee is building. It would be so cool if Adam's first episode resulted in a huge jump in ratings. Now THAT would be a good sign! 8:25, you'll be relieved to know that I don't have a poem in me this morning. I'm not as profilic as some here. I predict that the versey threads will pop up on occasion but not all the time. We are a creative group, for sure.

My only poor excuse is like any addiction one rhyme sets you off and 5 more follow. Rhymers jump aboard and the crazy train picks up speed.

Perhaps we could pick a slow day of the week or an empty thread to enjoy ourselves without being pesky. Or in my case, no more than one on a thread....I don't know what would be the best plan. But I'll try to not overindulge.

Based on all the beauty of Adam Lambert (inside & outside, and I sincerely mean this) and with professional make up Adam would look fabulous in drag and not only would look better than any of them, but would look better-er than most very beautiful women - what ever the outfit, he would look OUTRAGEOUSLY GORGEOUS!

Adam's beauty knows no limits - the limits are in every watcher's own head! Would love to see new pics of Adam in anything mindblowingly different!
