OT but Adam related ... I was watching Project Runway All Stars and the one designer, Viktor, mentioned that he has designed for some famous celebrities and named Adam Lambert first! Adam is everywhere and I'm so happy!

Adam's appearance was Everything and more. It was brilliant. It was just so wonderful to watch him perform on Glee. He stole the show from the other actors. Things are looking good for Adam recently and I hope he has more to tell us when he appears on Ellen again on Monday. The best news would be about a third album.

The seven reasons are a good start, but I can think of a million more! He just nailed it in every way possible, including the acting scene.

Love the Project Runaway story! Adam is indeed one who "gets mentioned."

I just read that the ratings for Glee were not that good. Too bad, because Adam was brilliant on the show. But with the hiatus and competition from the other channels, it did not pick up the viewers we as Adam fans had hoped. But the reviews were so positive about Adam's performance and hopefully it will open other doors for him. Now we have to wait another two weeks to see him again and that's not good. Will that be it for his character or are there more episodes to come in 2014? I like the NYC story line and maybe the focus should shift to those characters, but maybe this is just the kind of show that people don't watch anymore.

1. 23. You have a way of putting the damper on a very beautiful and exciting time for fans of Adam. Not insulting too much because your comment would be deleted but just a few little twists of the knife to try to deflate our high. You are very easy to read and Adams increasing popularity must bother you very much. Don't bother replying how you really are an Adam fan etc etc because we have all heard it before.

Anonymous said...

Virtually no "big" press about this today :-(. But hey, Zoe Saldana's husband got a new tattoo! Seriously. Front page news on People.com. America - you suck! Adam was superb but way too talented for this low-rated show.

Anonymous said...

1:39, I didn't get that impression from 1:23 at all. It has been mentioned on earlier threads that Glee's numbers were very poor last night. It's too bad the viewer numbers weren't higher but the reviews for Adam are all amazing. To acknowledge the truth isn't twisting the knife or deflating a sane fan's high. You are the one with the problem to jump all over somebody else who wasn't causing a problem.

Anonymous said...

2:13, are you kidding me? Adam is getting rave reviews from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, MTV Buzzworthy, TVLine, Billboard, etc etc etc. Give some of the other outlets a chance to pick up the story. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

Just wondering why elliot not get into NYADA ,the confused look from kurt when elliot said this ,for me is telling something suprise behind elliot character.why elliot so eager to want join this unknown band with 4 singers in it,after all elliot is too good for this band.is puppet master will reveal who is actualy elliot is?

Anonymous said...

1:23, I agree, it's too bad the numbers for Glee weren't better but the reviews for Adam are all awesome. I'm sure more doors for Adam will open because of being on Glee.

Adam isn't on the next two episodes but will be on the one after those two. Adam said a handful of episodes so I would guess more than three episodes but we will have to wait to see.

Many Glee fans have said they would like to see the focus shift to just the NYC characters. Time will tell if that is something Ryan Murphy is willing to do.

Anonymous said...

2:20 I think Kurt was just surprised that somebody as good as Elliott didn't get in to NYADA. No big secrets going on. Glee is pretty simple.

Anonymous said...

@2:28, but i have read somewhere that elliot will reveal something suprise in puppet master episode.actually i really like if elliot character is elaborate more and concentrate with elliot kurt relationship on how they try to work as a team.if there is spark of romance between them, thats good cos blaine had cheated kurt once.

2:43, you are going to have to give me a link to that because I haven't seen that.

I heard that rating was down a little from Memorial service; which was to be expected. But, higher than Glee's sinking ratings before the memorial service. So some are contributing this to the excitement of Adam being on the show.

Anonymous said...

love seeing Adam on this show. Watched it a few times before, but not all the way through; but, last night I was stuck like glue. Also, DVR on also. Will get back to watching it in a couple of weeks when Adam returns. It is a cute show though.

A spin off with the NY older group would be nice; with Adam included whenever he had the time to make a guest appearance; He said that he is used to juggling opportunities. I am sure he is capable.

Anonymous said...

I think Adam is getting lots of press and great reviews. The only thing is was he mentioned on any of the talk shows, anyone know. Of course he will be on Ellen again and I'm sure they will talk about it and hopefully show clips of him singing. I can't stop watching the official Glee youtube for MTN,please everyone keep viewing it there!

Anonymous said...

Adam is going to be guest DJ on Ellen again.

Anonymous said...

@2:14 PM

Could you tell us where you saw that the ratings were very poor, so I could see it. What I saw reported on an article was that the ratings showed a lower rating
then the memorial service, of course; but higher than the ratings were before then. I saw no reports that the ratings were very poor. I believe that is incorrect information.

Adam hit it out of the Park last night.

Anonymous said...

It's true; Adam can't carry a whole show's ratings by himself; but he can sure bring in a lot of new viewers. Which is great for Adam and any show that he is own.

Anonymous said...

I know MJ's is saying ratings were a little lower than the show before the tribute show.

Anonymous said...

Just google glee ratings and you will see several articles saying last night was the shows all time low. Worst ever. Entertainment weekly has an article for example but there are many

Anonymous said...

@4:30 PM

Of course, what else would you expect from her; she is definitely not an Adam fan. It may be true; not what I read elsewhere; but, did she quote figures. She was probably happy to bring any information that would not make Adam look good.

Anonymous said...

I read that the ratings account only for those who are viewing it live on TV. DVR isn't accounted for ratings and those numbers are for viewers between 18-49 age group. I assume the numbers are even higher but the reported numbers are for FOX and ad. companies. Glee ranked number 4 & 3 watched TV show in its time slot which IMO isn't a bad number. I watched Glee for the first time and honestly didn't care much for HS stories. Loved NY scene and Adam was out of this world fantastic.

I like Adam's top-hat, long-coat fashion gear a lot; he looks majestic and very appropriate for the grand entrance Glee debut as well for the actual scene. I think the Starchild scene directing could be attributed some to the ingenuity of Adam's brainchild; but Glee director is liberal-minded and gives the final nod. I like the two knobby accessory Adam wears around the collar, gives a 3-dimensional effect to off-set the heavier long-coat.
By the way, if you examine the on-the-floor twerk more closely, it seems like a pretty genuine twerk. lol!
Some try to throw a dampener on the floor twerk by saying it's similar to GNT. No, Adam didn't twerk then, he merely lay on the floor with his guitarist playing over him with his mouth opened. In this floor twerk, his mouth is closed just showing some angst, less PG required. lol!

It fit the song. He'd married the night and was consummating the marriage.

Looking at the floor twerk, I'm not quite sure what he's consummating. lol!

@4:41 PM

Very astute observation about Glee in my opinion; I agree with you. Also, I read that Glee's lead The Xfactor was no help because it had lower ratings then Glee. I also read that Glee's ratings started tanking during Episode #3, and never really recovered; Until the Cory Monteith tribute. I know in this Episode; Adam brought in a lot of new viewers; I wonder how low they would have been without all the two guest stars; Demi and Adam, and the new fans they brought in.

I hope this leads to Adam getting Guest roles in other shows and more Television time. From everything I read today; Adam has been getting praises from all over the media.

I could watch a whole show of just Adam and the Group he was with. I could see a lot of diffeerent interactions with them and their friends. It would be a great spin-off where Adam could guest star occasionally.

Anonymous said...

Idol is a Fox show also, I wonder how they will do in the ratings?

I am so happy Adam was on Glee I think they were really pleased with him. This has been such wonderful exposure for him. I really am thankful that he was on.

Adam's 'Marry the Night' Glee rendition is #87 in OVERALL ITunes charts downloads, not just in pop!!!!!

There is SO much buzz on twitter and throughout the web about Adam Lambert's performance on Glee, all extremely positive! Glee is shown worldwide and is popular worldwide, not just in the US. Gleeks from all over discuss every aspect of the show on twitter and on Facebook with their friends and followers and they are all raving about Adam's 'Marry the Night' song.

Perhaps Ryan Murphy could come up with a brand new series woven around Adam and Chris and others, with different guest stars every week. Frankly I know only a gist of the Glee plots, a bit too student-like for me with all the pettiness, not quite my latte; but I guess it appeals to a younger demographic. Adam has shone a new angle as Starchild but again it boils down to the singing skills which must be able to sustain the musical part of Glee. Don't quite get all the choir-type singing, not so sexciting lol! So step 1 for a new angle is, new dynamic singer-actors but a bit challenging to find another Adam but even close to that is okay...keywords here in my opinion are dynamism and originality. Well, doing covers is okay, like what Adam does to MTN which in itself not so over-the-top but Adam made it over-the-top. This is a literal example of 'The singer not the song'. With Adam, it has always been this aspect for me and that's why when I heard the original version, I commented it as somewhat repetitive but at the back of my mind...it will never be when Adam sings it.

Whatever the ratings..etc.. (something we can't do anything about....), I'm SO thrilled for Adam's chance to be on a primetime network show. Again. With a "handful" of episodes still to see, with Adam in them, obviously performing in some capacity. It's ALL good!!!

Adam himself has gotten some very very positive and glowing reviews, and whatever anyone thinks of the show itself, he's clearly the best of the best (along with Lea Michele, another very talented singer..). The exposure that he's getting on GLEE will undoubtedly lead to more opportunities in TV, perhaps movies...Broadway, etc.. Not to mention a larger audience for his upcoming new music in 2014...(YAY!!!! I can hardly wait!!!)

Ryan Murphy himself recently suggested that GLEE may go to an all-New York City cast format, as early as even before the end of this current season..perhaps because the high school story line has become a bit stale, and going to the NYC "location" will allow them to bring the series to a closure with positive outcomes for the main, original remaining characters.. With some of them reaching their goals of becoming successful performers...

Perhaps Adam will have a recurring role into the next season. Works for me. But remains to be seen. Very exciting for him no matter what evolves with his GLEE role.

He was supposed to look ridiculous in his get up and he did!

I absolutely loved his entrance and the slight tip of the head and then the way he walked in the room. He is so perfect and then the voice!

My casual wish is for Adam's songs to be used, even one will be fine, exactly like what a rather imaginative Anon did with the thumpingly aggressive FYE song, still my favourite over MTN. But MTN seems to fit this Starchild scenario better; but can't say for sure because as Anon projected it on the Starchild video, I thought it worked very well. Perhaps Lady Gaga's stamp of approval is part of the appeal...a double draw of Gaga and Adam.

@daydreamin OMFG that a cappella version of Marry the Night is mind-blowing!!!

The ratings was 300k less viewers from 5x02.

5x03 was tribute to Cory's passing with 7.4 million viewers.

5x02 episode had 4.4 million viewers and last night's episode has 4.1 million viewers.

Reports are saying possibly due to Cory's passing and one month of hiatus, last night's episode got the low rating that matches last year's holiday episode. Let's hope for episode 7 which Adam will be on it, it will do great.

Anonymous said...

I think episode 7, 'Puppet Master' will be another Adam eye-opener. Adam again will shine the light to lead Glee out of mundaneness. But I must say Glee seems very liberal and receptive of more avant-garde ideas; a good place for Adam to do experimentations. Adam has this uncanny ability to marry the bygone fashions with present ones and present them in a way that give the illusion of modernity. Like the top-hat, long coat...he makes it look bad-ass like Demi/Dani puts it.

Honestly the ratings arent bad, considering that its Glee we talking about. It will be petty and a tad stupid, to blame it on adam.
Adam did a great job and was very believable as an actor, i hope his subsequent appearances will be better.
I think the problem we have in this site is people, who dont read other's comment before replying, please other peeps benefit of doubt, you can ask questions instead of shutting and labelling another person because you dont agree with their views...we dont have a troll here, we were cursed with lots of them before admin saved us all.
Hopefully, with adam's debut, we got new fans visiting this site, you want to scare or chase them away once they post a contrary opinion do you?
This is my first comment on this thread, i am not defending myself ( another childish nonsense that must stop IMO).

I loved loved it. He so stole the show. Wish Lea had interaction with him though. I think that her character could use a little shaken up. Plus she has a good voice, they would sound amazing.

So not worried about ratings, regardless it's a popular show and musical, a plus IMO. It gets him more exposure, win win!!

The a cappella version is so beautiful. I sang in my school and university's a cappella group and though singing with full musical instrumentation is inspiring, singing a cappella is so powerful. I love music and there are some amazing songs and singers but to hear him sing a cappella is an out-of-world experience.......Feeling spacey!!!!!
