Adam Lambert made his Glee debut last night -- an event that was, apparently, four years in the making!

Adam is polarizing in the best way, if that means being himself and not conforming to everyone else's crap. That is why we are all individuals. If that is the case, (I guess a matter of opinion), then he is the best damn polarizer in this sometimes phoney business. Thank God for Adam, the most sincere, humble entertainer I have ever encountered.

I think even though Adam became controversial over the whole AMA thing, he didn't realize he was pissing people off. I maintain that Miley does what she does to be shocking and be an affront to people.

Sometimes that word is just thrown around so foolishly and many people don't even know what it means. Some mean it in a nagative way; some mean that the person is doing something wrong. Nine times out of ten, it means; you are different and making some people feel uncomfortable; so it's your fault and you my friend are a polarizing person; so can't have you on our show unless you are accepted by everybody. Stupid word when used against Adam; in my opinion.

I guess none of the other entertainers are not polorizing; they are so normal. Funny, never heard this said about M&M, as he ran up to the Grammy stage over and over, accepting his many awards; and many others. No, just Adam. They would have him on the award shows, "but, he is just to polarizing".

Hate to hear fans use that word against this wonderful showman; who is just being his macnificent self.

I don't consider the word "polarizing" to necessarily mean a bad thing. But anyone who had heard of Adam usually does have an opinion and their opinions are unfortunately based on what they've and what they THINK they know.. Based on media sound bites etc. I've run across people who truly had no real idea of who he truly is, until I filled them in on the "real" Adam Lambert.. His history, his experience, and who he is NOT, and importantly, WHY I am such a dedicated fan who appreciates and respects Adam as a very talented artist and as a genuinely fabulous and kind, generous human being.. Many people simply do not know..Hoping that will change as time goes by..

Adam does such good interviews because he is articulate, honest, and intelligent. He knows exactly what he is talking about and thinks through his answers.

Yes, it is hard to break through to people who either don't know anything about Adam other than his name, or who have a pre-conceived opinion of him based on very little knowledge or misinformation. I have gotten through to a few people, but others simply don't want to open their minds. It's no use saying, "How can you say you don't like Adam Lambert when you say you like so-and-so?" They don't want to hear that. There is no logic in opinions about performers of any kind. BUT, I think that a broader knowledge of Adam does help break down barriers. People usually admit that Adam has an incredible voice. They just resist him for other "reasons" often based on lack of information. That's where we Glamberts can, gently, inform them of his incredible credentials and talent. Most non-fans simply don't know all that he has done and the respect that he has from artists and producers and writers world-wide. Spread the word wherever we can.

When middle America calls Adam polarizing they mean 3 things:
1) Adam is gay.
2) Adam is flamboyant(not NPH)
3) Adam is flamboyant and
therefore dares to announce to
to the world he is gay. (He should keep quiet about it)
Adam's (non-bigoted) real fans love him for the 3 polarizing statements listed above.nancdruuu2

My hairdresser quit to give birth and be a stay at home mom. Happy for her, unhappy for me. Hate to train a newby on how my hair works best for me. After 3 or 4 cuts and getting to know my newby better, I asked her if she was an Adam Lambert fan. Her reply was "Eww, he's gay." I told her I knew he was gay but it didn't matter to me anymore than that she had brown eyes and we went on to another subject.

To my next appointment with her I brought an unopened Trespassing album, gave it to her and asked that she listen to it when she had time. I also told her he was going to be on Glee in a month or so and if she had the chance to, please watch it. She called me the next night and told me she loved the album, had never heard such emotion from a male singer and she had gone online to see if she could find out more about him. "He's gorgeous! He's funny! He's seems so nice! Why didn't you tell me?" I said I didn't want to sell him it would be much better if she would "get" him herself. She said she couldn't wait to see him on Glee although she had never watched it before.

LSS she's a Glambert now and his music is on in the salon all the time. She's bought everything musical he's done and somehow it's all on a loop (I'm not a tekkie at all) and you hear IHFYE then Beth then Shady then Dust in the Wind then Stay then Mad World then WWFM then OOL then WWTLF and so on. She keeps a stock of 5 of each of his albums and gifts them to women who ask who is singing in the background at the salon.

She called me after watching Glee and was screeming and crying at the same time. She thanked me for introducing her to him and the way that I did it. Just giving her an album. She says she too just has to pay it forward with his music.

Oh and BTW I have to put cash plus a tip in an envelope and hide it from her when her back is turned otherwise it's a catfight because she won't take money from me.

I'm Happy
