Yea Adam's vocals and talents are ridiculous, all right, Glee vocal producer/engineer hits the nail right on its head. Strangely and not so, we, here got it from the first note of Mama! lol! Actually, I can't really lay claim to this Mama thing, lol! I got it specifically when Adam sang Cher's Believe, a-cappella and the following week...Some Kind OF Wonderful, which was his first rock-scream outburst; and it was 'downhill' all the way for me from this point on; no looking back. lol! Now I'm looking forward to the Adam/Lea duet, a rock song...whoa! these are two powerful wailers on Glee. Lea must be feeling like, hey diddle diddle, the cow jumped over the moon. lol! Make no mistake, Lea is no cow nor Adam a bull. lol!

Compliments from music industry people that know what they're talking about (and not the first time for this sweet gentleman) is becoming more and more common for Adam.

So glad Glee is experiencing Adam's talent in all it's glory!

Always good to have those who work with Adam compelled to speak out to his talent. ;)

OT: Twitterverse is really negative tonight about Carrie Underwood's performance on the remake 'live' of the sound of music. They're all saying...we like you Carrie, but you are NO Julie Andrews nor a good actor. I personally don't like it when they take an impressive classic movie and change it. WHY? The Sound of Music is a true classic with an Oscar winning performance by Julie Andrews. Leave it alone, PLEASE!!!

The Sound of Music was a classic Broadway Play which starred Mary Martin. When it became a film the stage devotees had to accept the changes made, now it's changed back to it's original form - a play.
A good story isn't just told once, Hamlet, Wuthering Heights, Mutiny on the Bounty, Frankenstein, etc.

I saw Sound of Music musical movie many many moons ago; yes it's a classic. Also Julie Andrews is no easy singer/voice to replicate; perhaps only Adam could give it a go because Adam too, like Julie Andrews is in a league of their own...don't try. Julie Andrews doesn't just sing, she feels/embeds every note with deep understanding and execution. Her voice has a special sheen and vibrato. Adam reminds me of her, in their own different classic way.

7:20 -- That may be true, but the version that touched the souls of so many people and still resonates today is the movie version with Julie Andrews. And, you said it yourself, the version with Mary Martin was done on a 'real' Broadway stage in front of a live audience, not a TV staged version of a play. I really did not like this rendition of The Sound of Music.

I never get tired on hearing praise for Adam from musical experts in the industry. He deserves every single accolade he gets. And they all LIKE him to boot! If anyone is ready for TV, film and more stage work, it's Adam.

Didn't watch The Sound of Music tonight. Too bad for Carrie about the twitter feedback. She has a nice voice. I don't think she's ever acted before.

With all the positive comments that Adam is getting lately from his appearances on Glee, and the compliments from music industry people, let's hope all of this translates into a hit album for Adam with his third release. He is an amazing vocal talent and a hard working, charming individual who deserves to be recognized and accepted for those qualities with a successful third album and a chart topping single release.

Re The Sound of Music ..... I'm curious to see Carrie Underwood's performance even though I'm not a fan of hers. However, I'll probably never see it as I live on the other side of the world.

The reviews are out CU got not too good of a review for her acting but reviewers liked her singing.

I watched some of Sound of Music and thought it was quite good, including Carrie. She acted quite well and especially for it being a live performance. Remember Russell Crow's live performance in Les Mis? God awful!

I think any of the producers and engineering types working with Adam will quickly realize what a gem he is. Adam is not the singer that has to be improved upon with any special effects. He is a rare jewel. Only his pure vocals need to be heard for a fabulous performance. He has many talents!

I always loved Carrie for her country singing voice. While she has improved somewhat over the years, unfortunately she can appear wooden-like as far as her acting is concerned. She is a beautiful woman and seems like a good person. Her like-ability factor will help in a big way. To compare her to Julie Andrews would be unfair.

Even Julie Andrews was gracious when asked what she thought about Carrie playing the role, she understands she doesn't own it. She complimented Carries talent.
Nice lady. I say Bravo for Carrie, she must have been scared but was brave. No, didn't watch it, I'm in the middle of a good book!

@alxanders thanks man!!!!

Poor Carrie. This is like Adam and Freddie Mercury. People who know the old aren't willing to accept the new. Sound of Music is 50 years old. Time for a new take.

I watched the last half of Sound of Music last night. I thought CU's singing was surprisingly good but acting not so great IMO.

It was hard to watch the tv version of Sound of Music. I don't think any of the actors did a very good job. The kids were gooud though
