Whoa Adam, that indeed was touching, and beautifully sung. Adam looks so family-oriented in this gentleman suit; quite the opposite of the hippy rockstar image he is. This version has a little jazzy feel to the change he made. I think I've heard 10 different versions of Mad World. That particular killer high note stays; this one has a few more runs of high notes with soulful vibrato.

Hey Adam, looking forward to seeing you on Glee on tv, direct via satellite. Mmm I saw that scrumptious rockstar picture of you and Chris...oooh-la-la, a picture-perfect of yin-yang. lwl!

A real professional, unfazed and undaunted by the flurry of waitpersons. Adam knew they came to support a cause at an important auction, and their support was for a successful auction that raised over half million dollars, for which Adam and Melissa Etheridge were credited for boosting. Loved how Adam rocked a song that conveyed the feelings of disenfranchisement with lyrics like "dream in which I'm dying was the best I ever had", and "look right through me". For those disappointed in the song choice for being reminiscent of Adam's Idol ties they prefer he'd not dredge up, and hoping for something new, there's method to this madness. This song drove the painful message home quite appropriately for the occasion, and in Adam's hands, must have touched the generosity of the attendees, and why so many tweeted their gratitude to Adam so profusely.

Half a million dollars is a sizable fund-raiser. Humanitarian Adam radiates warmth with effectiveness as always, when it comes to lending his voice, presence and celebrity.
