Very lucky people getting to meet Adam and working with him! He looks fantastic. Can't wait for next week.

Glad for all the contestants that got a chance to work with Adam but I was especially hoping Adam would work with Rocker Boy (sorry don't remember his real name) coz we all know how well Adam can sing rock!!!

Adam gives such "point on" advice and in a tactful way too. Can't wait to see AI next week.

Whoa, Sifu Adam at work oooh-la-la. I used to have to attend workshops, lectures, meetings; boy if only one of those was conducted by Adam. lol! Adam is a very inspirational teacher because he feels the song and the singer and how the latter can bring out the song to achieve maximum impact. One of the most memorable instances of Adam's mentoring apart from previous examples I've given, is the way Adam so gently led Angie to duet with him on centre stage away from the piano which was supposedly her comfort zone; and not only that Adam let/led her to scale those beautiful powerful high notes so she could shine. He could have done those high notes as effectively himself. Sifu must always be giving. Yes it was a great performance but I also saw it as Sifu leading his toh-dai/student.

"Rocker Boy" that Adam is talking with is Caleb Johnson. I like him a lot...he's got a big voice.. So Adam is the perfect mentor for him.

Caleb Johnson has great voice. But he needs to change his image and take a shower more often. I saw Harry C,Jr face yesterday after he hugged this boy. He asked about warm towels!

Caleb has a GREAT rock voice but the judges thought there was too much theatre in his performance. (Keith and Harry felt he was channeling Rock of Ages instead of being himself.) Hope Adam can push him towards establishing a stronger connection with the music and the audience as himself.

Can't wait to hear their conversation.

I think this boy want to look like Jack Black. Sorry, honey, but this isn't possible.

I can't wait to see Adam next week! He is such a great mentor and cares so much about the contestants! Unlike some mentors they've had on Idol, Adam shows no ego and is thinking only about the contestants! Adam has so many true star qualities to mention. But his knowledge about vocal technique and showmanship is truly unmatched. Adam is a joy to watch and listen to. ~Love~

I'm so excited for next week. Can't wait to see how the contestants respond to Adam and what kind of constructive advice Adam will offer. I am also hoping to feel his own evolution as an artist.

@6:38

I will bet that Stephen Lloyd will make it to the Top 10 whether he's deserving or others are more deserving.
He is deliciously gorgeous, tall and can sing.
There's another cute boy but I forgot his name now.
But there are so many great female singers this year.

I was unhappy with some of the very talented people they sent home instead of some mediocre ones. There was one guy in particular - I didn't catch his name - that I was SURE would get through. He was a tall, black, 22-yr old (but looked older) very handsome charismatic man whose voice was like BUTTER! When they didn't choose him I almost threw my TV out the window!!

I'm always amazed at the fact that so many of the singers at the top of the charts right now do not sing as well as many of the AI contestants. Making it big often has more to do with luck and timing than it does with talent. I wish these new contestants lots of luck. The music business is brutal and ruthless and unforgiving. It's a jungle out there no matter how talented you are.

Adam has certainly had his share of ups and downs. He's a great mentor. Can't wait to see him!

3:28 yes I agree! There are a couple they put through like nails on a chalkboard!

Adam was helping his fellow contestants on the season he was on! What does that say about a man? That is is a unselfish person and just wants everyone to do well. That is why so many of us love him after five years and hope he gets everything HE deserves. Outstanding man!

DRG @ 6:40am-_ Interesting comments you make and I feel the same way. Sometimes it is more about style than substance as to which individual will be successful in the unpredictable world of music today. There is constant competition for the next big hit, the next new group or solo artist. Adam has had his share of ups and downs as you have said, and yet he has survived and is well liked and respected by so many in the entertainment field. I look forward to both Adam and Chris working with the contestants on Idol and Randy made a good choice in selecting both of them to be in his workshop.

Harry Connick Jr will call it as he sees it. I love that he doesn't sugarcoat anything. I think he knows the winner already.

Guy in the second picture gave me a Meatloaf vibe (looks at least) Dont watch Idol so is that the rocker guy mentioned above? . . . Adamluv

Adamluv said...

I meant an early Meatloaf look, not now.

@Adamluv
Yes, that's Rocker Guy... He's good, in my opinion... I was a little surprised by the comment about him from the judges, being theatrical and "Rock of Ages", etc.. , and that being an issue... He has stage presence and a bit of charisma.. And a good voice. Not a bad thing in my book... :))))))

@Glitzlady - thanks for answering my question. The response from the judges seem to be in the same vein as those given to Adam at his first audition for Idol? . . . Adamluv
