JAK here....if my other home were a penthouse in NYC with lots of floor to ceiling windows, ebony wood pieces and white poofy sofas....3 I think...(I like to lounge).... I would like several of Drakes paintings.
They are brilliantly colorful and all oddly similar. This type of art (to me) is like striking accessories in fashion. A bright coral scarf, a turquoise leather Gucci handbag, a silver concho belt, etc. All meant to catch the eye.
However in my humble home on Tampa Bay my paintings, at last count 32, are all portraits of people mostly and a few landscapes. I like paintings that make you think and make up stories as you sit and view them.
The wonderful thing about art is there is something for everyone's preference.
I am sure Adam is interested in donating to La Bry, because he is going on a cycle ride to gain money for aids. LaBry's artistry is very different form the norm, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. La Bry is asking for donations.
As most of you know La Bry is an ex casual boyfriend of Adam's before and during Idol. Adam is quoted as saying , "They were more, just friends" La Bry has moved on and has been a relationship, where I think he actually married. Earlier this year, he met Adam at one of the bars, and they had a lot of catching up. They never lived together , just dated. Of course Adam has moved on also.
I think Drake's artwork is lovely and kind of serene. He definitely has a touch. Adam loves art, esp. somewhat unusual are, which I also like. He likes people who think outside the box. Drake seems to be doing fine. Nice that he and Adam got to meet up a while ago. Adam seems to be on good terms with his exes.
@DRG....I get what you mean about serene....many of them look like drops of water, so the feel is sort of fluid and relaxing......he's a talented guy. I'd love to ask him the inspiration or emotion that guides his brush.....JAK
anon 7:48 well the comment stands out doesn't it? maybe u should go sniff around that back door and get a whiff of the aroma. with the hot weather and all, it could be rather pungent.

Drake is good. I know a surrealist artist and that is similar to his colorful paintings.
