Randy Jackson mentions Adam Lambert on The View (May 6, 2014), talks about his Randy's Workshop On American Idol earlier this season:

"I had two guys that didn't win, Adam and Chris, the show, but two guys that have amazing careers, Adam and Chris, but they both did very well on the show and they both got great careers. Now I wanted them there to say "You don't have to WIN to have a shot at doing something great with your career..."

It's so true that you don't have to win Idol or any of the other singing talent shows to have a successful career. And sometimes the winner doesn't do well at all in the music world either. Because Adam has such a spectacular voice, amazing stage presence and a charismatic personality, he has achieved some degree of success with his music and seems ready to embark on the next phase of his career with the Queen summer concerts and then a new album. I was happy to hear Randy mention him as a mentor because Adam is someone you just don't forget.

Jena should win. I miss Adam's season so much. I watched all the seasons and by far Adam's season was the best. The only time I religiously voted for Adam. All other seasons I throw in one or two votes. This season I do the super vote via AI app with 50 votes for Jena. That's it.

I don't even bother to watch A.I. anymore, it has become boring and the contestants this year have no spark or "it" factor. Adam spoiled that show for me. No one can even come close to his season which kept me mesmerized and glued to the tv week after week. He's the only idol I ever voted for and he sure is worth it!! What a talent!!!

Can't watch this video in my region:(

I don't watch AI either. That ship has sailed for me. Even when I hear there is someone good on and I check them out, they're not even close to Adam's talent.

Adam so so much more than a singer. He the most amazing singer I have heard in many years. However he some so many things. Quite a bit of TV. glee, First male host for VH1 Divas, many talk shows, pretty little liars . Then project Run Way., idol mentor twice, Idol finale twice, lot of Idol.RPDR, Ellen many times, other talk shows. First and only to have a headlining solo concert right after Idol. Don't believe there is much Adam can't if he puts his mine to it. I believe we only scratched the surface of Adams Talent. Queen tour will help many people realize what super talent he is hopefully become a fan. He had very good success in so many career endeavors. He done probably over two hundred concerts since idol GNT and trespassing. Adam had good solo success. I believe the best is yet to come for Adam many years of more success. I believe we seen nothing yet much more good for him to come he is an unbelievable talent. He had a quite a nice career so far much more to come.

@2:11 PM

I could have written your post myself; my thoughts exactly. I tried to watch it after Adam mentored on it. But, I just couldn't stand watching it without Adam there in some capacity. I really did try. But, every thing seems to scripted including the judges. I know some of it has to be; but I don't know, something is missing. Oh, I know; Adam Lambert being there, that is what is missing!!!

I think that Caleb and Jena did an excellent job tonight on Idol, but Adam is the one who spoiled the show for me also. He is the only contestant I ever voted for and have followed his career since day one on Idol. I really am not "invested" in any of these top four and don't know what kind of career they would have as the winner. Adam just was an amazing vocal talent and had a mesmerizing stage presence that seems to be lacking in this year's contestants overall. Whether you liked him or not during his performances on Idol, he is someone you just don't forget as a previous comment stated. I would love to see him on the finale again with Jena or Caleb, but I doubt he has time to do that this year.

There's no one amazing on Idol this year, all have no stage presence. Caleb always sings the same way and cannot deliver a slow rock song.
Jena is not consistent and her version of Can't Help Falling In Love was just meh and I don't understand JLo coming on stage to kiss her because she was supposedly fantastic. I just didn't feel it.
Again, it shows the producers are whispering to their ears to make sure to point to Jena as the winner this year. Idol is so bad for the last two seasons.

Have you noticed how much the camera focuses on JLO while the contestants are performing? I am getting bored with her jumping around in her seat and moving her head around to the music. Now It seems that they are showing more of Keith who seems to know the words to all the songs and always sings along. Both of them do seem to be enjoying themselves however. Then there is Harry who just sits there, shows no emotion at all and doesn't even applaud at the end of a performance. The judges are a show unto themselves. It seems there are pushing this comraderies with the judges and Ryan, making it friendlier than last year obviously. Who will win this season? Does it really matter? The music business today is so tough and it is difficult to become a success even if you are on Idol. All four finalists seem to lack the IT factor, a special something that will make the audience take notice and want to listen to their music.
