He wasn't in Selfridges when I was there a few years ago.. grumble grumble.. :))) But for a VERY good reason. It was the year he was on Idol, and I think he was doing Hollywood week around the time I was visiting London.. I had planned to watch Idol while there but it was on at 1 in the morning in London.. so I didn't. When I got home I saw him for the first time.. top 13 week...

And the rest is history... Sorry, just stirred some memories.... :))))

He also may have decided not to bring so much clothing; and just buy new things in London; that sounds like a lot of fun, especially since he says he loves to shop. Like most young well dressed folks!

It wouldn't be you glitzylady, if you didn't show off that you had been to Selfridges. A lot of us who have lived in or visited Selfridges have been there. It's just another department store.

Maybe he has been watching the show on TV about Mr Selfridge. I bet he will be looking for some more shirts.. No point in packing a lot of clothes, when you can just go shopping when you get there.

He probably has a few days to settle in and see some sites, like shopping malls, LOL.

It seems nothing is private these days; people will post everything. That is why celebrities have to be so careful. But, not just them; everyone else. It just seems that they are more prone to be bothered by haters and crazy sickos! Too much information is not good; but, so easy to get during these times. Very unfortunate! 7:03, it isn't the Realtors. The sale and purchase of houses are public record. It is very common for the local paper to report on a famous person buying a house.

The house and transaction are public record.. And it didn't take much to figure out which one it was when armed with the description, real estate agents, and price.. Several people obviously did just that... The power of the internet... Both a blessing and a curse, as usual.

The pictures of the house, other than the 2 exterior shots, were essentially "locked" but someone with the right knowledge and credentials could get around that... and obviously did..Or perhaps there were other real estate sites with the pictures other than the listing realtor..

I've seen the pics, the house is stunning with a beautiful location and grounds.. And very "Adam" already, in my opinion. I can see why he decided to buy it....

I'm quite sure it won't be long before most of the fandom has seen pictures... It just is what it is... I only hope and pray that Adam is safe and secure and over the moon thrilled about his new home...

JAK, perhaps as friends over a cup of tea sharing adventures. I'm sure you have your share. But not to strangers on the internet where it more often seems the storyteller is looking for attention or to name drop yet again an expensive hotel or encounter with Adam's friends or family.

@Glitzlady-wow, I am so sorry that you were rudely attacked just because you shared a little personal information about Selfridges. I hate to get involved in bad situations on these threads, but we should never attack each other just for sharing incredible moments in our lives. Why can't we be proud of all of our life accomplishments and all the wonderful moments that shaped our beings? I have taken up for Lam-my in the past because a number of Glamberts have so poorly treated her because of her descriptive poetry. Sometimes, I feel I must speak out for the sake of awesome Glamberts who are sorely mistreated. This is a fandom. We have all been here many years and almost personally know each other, and, I for one just absolutely love to share the lives of other Glamberts! Therefore, I sincerely apologize for any Glambert that feels they have to be mean and snarky toward the fans that dearly love Adam. Long time no hear from you! I always love your well-balanced comments...I know your daughter and son-in-law are lawyers...now that really deserves a wow! So you, the Mom should be a judge. lwl! I admire your fairness and openness; alas I can't join you in the Las Vegas QueenBert concert. Anyway Thank you for the invite and yes will be following Adam every step of the way, in the usually very good videos; I feel rather thankful to the Adam videographers who would have had to film covertly, at the same time concentrate on Adam's ethereal voice/singing.

Hey Margarita Lady, if only you and I and 24/7 others could toast Adam by the poolside of his lovely homestead on the Hills. You can mix those jugs of margarita! lol! This is his secondary aspiration apart from the rockstar one being his first and foremost. I remember at an interview he said something to the effect of perhaps owning a house on the Hills, pertaining his secondary aspirations. Well, he's got another box ticked with a big pass / and a lot more to tick I think.

Hi Lam-my-I try to keep up on the threads here, but my life is so crazily busy that I have little time to post comments. I throw one in every once in a while, therefore, if you don't hear from me, don't worry, I will be here sooner or later to voice some kind of opinion or perhaps quote a little poetry about Adam. Lam-my, I have always been titled an arbitrator as I was raised in a huge family, ten children, and even to this day, I am the family firefighter. And, yes, my son is an amazing lawyer in Florida, and if you want to see an arbitrator in action, you should see my son in court. Judges have told him that he leaves them speechless as he defends his clients.....On another note, it would be so wonderful to sit in Adam's grotto with you and other awesome fans and toast him with a fine champagne or my famous margaritas. I sincerely hope he has nothing short of an incredible life in that new home. And, don't worry, I will give you and all Glamberts a full account of Adam's Las Vegas shows. I am so excited for Adam and Queen and, though virtual, they are a sweet part of my life, as they are also a part of your life. Lam-my, always keep that poetry coming-it is most appreciated. Your comment is a piece of eloquence; I admire lawyers because they are raw thinkers and I like how they twist and turn things around not any old how like what I witness here lol! but with great thought and finesse. I could have been nurtured into one but only on hindsight, because I love substantial discussions even at a very young age but circumstance/finance were not there to nurture it. My late brilliant brother did Law for two years in university but 50 years ago, everyone here was poor and as a result had to leave to work, help out family. He was brilliant and I was only 14 but was able to take him on somewhat. lol! It takes very wise and devoted parents with sound financial backing to bring that to fruition. So no wonder, I've detected this arbitrator capability in you from the beginning and that obviously has been passed on to your son. My favourite tv program as a teenager was Perry Mason lol!

I consider the sharing of our experiences with each other here to be a gift, not a detriment. It broadens our view of the world and enriches or lives. I love to hear that those I share this site with have traveled widely and been to places I've never visited. I've traveled a little myself, but not as much as some. I don't consider it bragging to say I've been somewhere. I'm not rich, but I have enough to take a trip now and then. I've worked for it. Keep on sharing, Glamberts! Most of us will never meet each other in person, but we feel as if we know each other in many ways. Each connection we make makes this site more interesting IMO.

Just listened to the new interviews. Adam has good news about recording new music. He's been busy, that's for sure. My heart keeps racing in anticipation of that first tour date!

There is a difference between sharing a tid bit of your travels occasionally and constantly "mentioning" your travels, ritzy hotels and meeting Adam's friends and family. None of us here need to know that you can afford to travel frequently and stay in the best places. The meeting Adam's associates and family so often is either unbelievably lucky or stalking. I'm just saying this for the others who have already said it so they know they aren't the only ones. Usually I just roll my eyes like I do at a bragging coworker and scroll.

Guess I'd rather have us share good things than not share them. That's all.

Wow, I can't believe people. I love to read about people who have met Adam and also about all the travels they have. I'm thankful for glitzylady and all I have learned from her about Adam, who I adore by the way. Makes me feel that much closer to him. I don't usually comment but this time I really felt the need. JAK here....I guess I have entirely the wrong idea of what a fan site is. If it is only to disburse info about the artist....then I am def in the wrong. I guess it is simplistic of me, but I think of us as friends who all like the same entertainer and meet here to chat. That's why I like 'tags' and knowing that DRG lives in Chicago, that glitzylady is way up there near Seattle, rose petal in Joplin, HKfan is a Brit who lives in Asia, etc.

I like to wish Sue a speedy recovery when she has surgery, I was sooooo excited when Fan4fun returned to us this past month. There are posters that I recognize by their 'style' even tho they prefer to be an Anon. That's okay. Since I'm much too 'wordy' I guess I'm lucky I don't get frequently slammed for telling too many (and too long) stories about my family.

It would be hard for me to change at this late date and only discuss Adam's tour schedule or hairstyle. But at least I give you fair warning....my name at beginning of my posts........that's your chance to scroll past my personal comments. What is your mission here? Just cause discord and stir trouble?! Why is @glitzylady and her position/authority, her well deserved and natural place as one of the "leading ladies" here and/or her 'persona here' such "a red rag" to you? Maybe you could something about that?

People differ. And there is wide variety of very different fans from various different backgrounds and life experiences in this fandom... and life throws things at you, that can change you or your possibilities to "be here" on line...For these reasons (and many many more) people's opinions and actions here differ... Some are just more tech savvy, some more into info digging & sharing, some are too busy with RL (can barely read the headlines or visit more seldom), some like to just come here and are thankful for all the news, pics, vids, links and stories shared. And some are constantly criticizing or whining. And everything in between.

Why can't you just be happy that there is such a diversity of all kinds of people on this site...or there USED TO BE... Now most have been driven away (to lurkdom or to other sites, hopefully not away from this fandom altogether!) by the constant complainers, naysayers, trouble stirrerrs and what nots.

If you are dissatisfied to YOUR own status here, don't pick on others. Raise your own profile, toot your own horn!

Just for the record: I'm totally and utterly grateful to all who share info, links etc., but one can't write thank you notes in every thread to every anon posting links...that even sounds silly... 4:36 am, um, my mission was to remind someone that many people make this site what it is and are sources of learning, it isn't reliant on just one person. I was pointing out the diversity you claim to like about this site. I have no issue with my status here and no desire to toot my own horn. I was actually tooting other peoples horns. I'm not sure what your issue really is.

Come to think of it...we used to have a variety of thread posters to choose from...it makes writing more inspirational; I remember one thread posted a picture of Adam with a dagger across his forehead and lo and behold that 'gave birth' to my Psychobert story Parts 1 to 8. I was merrily writing from part to part, in between vacuuming the floor and Kindred kept nudging me on. lol! Our brains work in ways we don't understand so a couple more thread posters will present more choice and variety to commenters / writers to work on. As the saying goes: more hands make light work; in this case, more brains make a brighter site. lwl!

You've (all??) made your point(s) and I happen to agree with you, at least in part, if that makes any difference, that I am only ONE of the MANY fans who contribute to this site. That's a GIVEN, I would think.

I also agree with others who have stated here and there in the blog, that at one time 24/7 was a much more light-hearted, fun filled, joyous place to come to talk about Adam Lambert, to keep up with his latest events, news, and to share our stories, our thoughts, etc.. about Adam..

In the beginning, we were much like Adam: excited, enthusiastic, new-to-the-experience, newbies, who couldn't help but gush and flail with delight about this amazing, talented, unfiltered, charming, boyish, yet sexy as hell, singer who was a complete breath of fresh air, who is kind, generous, sweet, and was open about everything in his life.. And who over the years has learned the fine art of being a celebrity and keeping his private life..and his thoughts..to himself. Are you suggesting we too need to learn to keep our private lives..and our thoughts.. to ourselves??

Once we got to know each other over time, we occasionally chatted amongst ourselves, and as @JAK mentioned, we feel like we know each other, and in fact, some of us DO know each other. We've met at various Adam related events. (But then I suppose I shouldn't mention that either, because that might be branded as "bragging").. And some of us keep in touch away from the blog..

I also appreciate when people share their poetry (as does @JAK and others..), their fictional stories (as @Lam-my does for instance).. I would think that if someone doesn't want to read those things, the scroll function works quite nicely...

But over the years many have left 24/7 in disgust and frustration over the petty BS that occurs here from time to time. The Adam (and others close to him..) bashing, the insults toward other commenters. The juvenile fighting back and forth. Some still come for the information that is posted in the main thread topic, but never read the comments, and some read the comments but don't comment. Whatever works for each person...

I am forever grateful to the Administrator of this site for giving us all the open forum to share our thoughts and stories about Adam Lambert. He's the reason we are all here...

Some of us have been here since the beginning, some are more recent. And, unfortunately... some find this blog on the internet and come here for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble.

I'm helping the main Admin/blog owner with the blog. I post some of the thread topics, along with one other co-administrator, Admin Fan. I see most of the articles, pictures, etc. on twitter and post them here. I don't expect any special thanks from anyone, because we're all in this together, at least I thought that was the case. I'm here for Adam.. I have a very full life outside the fandom. But like many, I have a place in my life for sharing the "Adam Lambert Love" as our good friend and mega Adam Lambert fan @Funbunn40 likes to say..

My comment above about Selfridges was meant to be kind of silly. But apparently I should have just kept quiet. And perhaps instead just posted the good old standard "Oh Adam is so gorgeous!!!!" which he DEFINITELY is, but maybe that would have kept me under the radar. And it would have perhaps prevented the accusation of "bragging"...

Refrain from the use of co-administrator because that suggests a kind of joint venture / management / perhaps finance. The stated position is too big for merely helping with posting and reporting. Suggestion: Instead of one of you posting one whole lot at a time, throughout the day, alternate your thread postings, like one after the other instead of a whole string from the same person; gives commenters/writers wider choice and scope. There is no necessity to state main Admin because there's only one. Commenters/writers, we are pulling in one direction, good.

I'll be as brief as I can be, in responding to your comment.

I respectfully suggest that you don't know the present circumstances.

Currently, there are two of us who are posting new thread topics here. The Administrator/Owner of the blog, has had to take some personal time, for her own reasons, and while she is able to post the occasional item, (and I am in direct contact with her when need be) right now Admin Fan and I are helping her keep this blog going.. We are both busy people with real lives and we post when we can, when we have the time.. I work outside the home, have a family, and all of the usual things that go along with a real life...

Your suggestion, of alternating posts between myself and Admin Fan, while interesting and perhaps doable in a perfect world :) , is not feasible or quite frankly, realistic, at this time. If we were to wait to consult with each other, and with the Administrator/Owner, as to whose turn it is to post new items, we could be woefully behind in getting the information out to you and to others who come here for the latest Adam news.. Which would be a disservice to those who come here, to the administrator, and to you. I hope you can see what I'm saying..

As I've said before, on more than one occasion, we do the best we can. I personally do this for the Administrator and out of respect and admiration for Adam Lambert, and for others who rely on this blog.. There is no financial gain here.. None whatsoever. We are not a corporation or "official" in any way.. Just fans of Adam Lambert..

Whoa! Wait a minute, I have in no way whatsoever even thought about any sort of financial gain on your part!! I merely explained the term co-administrator as not an appropriate term, precisely because it could mean a joint venture, involving joint management, perhaps finance. And in no way did I imply you are involved that way! Please read carefully and don't stuff your misunderstood meaning down my throat.
As for the present circumstance not allowing a more varied form of thread postings like before, that's okay, if that's the case and I did state clearly it was a suggestion. I miss the older type of varied postings when I come to this site and oooh-la-la anything can drop onto my screen. Two thread posters are okay but the whole day facing one thread poster is like a kind of force-feed...like write whatever is posted. lol! My brain can't roll out words like that. Got to be free like the LMD horse galloping away so uninhibitedly. I still hope a bit of alternation of threads by the two posters could happen soon; take your time...no hurry or scurry like I always tell Adam.

I read everything very carefully by the way...and I understood your meaning very well.

To be honest, I'm continuing to respond to you so that you may get the full picture... As for me "stuffing" anything "down" your "throat"... I think you are perhaps exaggerating just a bit.. But think whatever you wish..

Your intentions are very clear to me, by the way. I really don't know what else to say, other than I hope you will continue to be the enthusiastic fan of Adam Lambert that you are, and just put up with the way things are here for now, until perhaps the Administrator/Owner of the blog can return to full status again. I have never complained about our dear Admin, not even once when several, have...regarding the 'troll' situation. I took it all in my stride because I know Admin is doing her best and I have enjoyed her postings precisely because they seem more varied sometimes with a couple of surprises. I think in my case, it's more than just the threads, the thread-poster, that is Admin, does make a difference to me as well. I have written on her site for 4 years and have enjoyed the friendships and Adam happenings/music/singing here.
I do understand at times she needs to attend to personal matters. I remember once, the thread went on for two days and even that...not a tiny complaint from me; in fact I welcomed her back with virtual open arms. I kind of like Admin's nonchalant unassuming attitude. She doesn't keep harping on, doing her best and that real life needs taken care of...which you reiterate so often. No one is complaining about you, not doing your best so quit playing victim, exonerating yourself. I've heard that so often and I'm not the least bit interested whether you're doing your best or not. I merely wanted a choice in the thread-posters rather than a one-sided affair; a bit autonomous.
Yes I was okay when Admin was the sole thread poster; like I said perhaps it's her quiet demeanour and my affinity with her; also the variety she provides. There is no necessity for you to transfer my request for alternating thread-posters to her; I do not want to further stress her out nor make it sound like a complaint. I'll just wait for thread postings to resume normalcy, like before. There are far more dire situations one can put one's attention to; just watch the world news. What I'm having, I can't ask for more. Repeat, not necessary to alert Admin on this matter; when she's ready she'll do it.

Somebody please make Lam-my see that there is something she is not getting about blogging or that she gets it wrong...uses blogging terms wrongly...there's some sort of a communication "block" for sure.

The quote above already tells it all. There's definitely something she is not getting about what a blog is and how a blog works and how it's run and taken care of. The same goes for some other commenters here.

We all who visit this site regularly or seldom, we who write in the comment section (whatever we write there, whether it is opinions, stories, shout outs to other visitors, poems, links to pics, vids etc.) technically we are just that, visitors posting our comments on this blog.

The blogger (here the Admin, currently Admin helpers) take care of this blog, this fan site by searching, scanning and choosing the latest Adam news to post on this blog, they post the threads, write the headlines, caption texts and quotes from articles etc, post the sources to the news etc.

If Adam "produces no news" (not gonna happen any time soon, I'm sure of it, lol!) or is MIA then the Admin helpers have to dig deeper... find something (old or old/new) to give us, the visitors of this blog our Adam fix.

We all contribute to the atmosphere on this blog. But we, the comment section users, technically we are just visitors of this blog and the Admin of this blog and currently the Admin helpers authorized by Admin are running this blog and I say they are doing a mighty fine job!!!

We, the visitors, could do a heck of a better job making this site a lot more pleasant to visit. And come back to. To dwell. To call our AL Home from home. :)

I have written here for 4 years and I know how it works; now Admin has 2 helpers so I would appreciate it if Admin Fan could post a couple of threads in his/her night, which will be my daytime, simultaneously with glitzylady rather than she occupying a string of threads. I have no inclination to write on her posted threads; it's a personal preference. Nothing to do with whether the threads carry fresh news or not. Of course if Adam is busy preparing for QueenBert, there would be less news, you didn't have to explain that to me! But that is not my problem; I have written an 8-part story, Psychobert, based on just one Adam picture of him with a dagger across his forehead so I'm not asking for exciting fresh news. You have just forced me to say something I was holding back and that is I have no inclination to write on threads posted by glitzylady. Are you satisfied now? You are the one in the dark and accuse me of not knowing what I am doing after spending 4 years writing here. You should pen your name if you point out someone's supposed fault when you yourself are in the dark! Coward! shooting from the dark and always thinking you are the smarter! In any case I said I would wait; I do not wish to impose on others. I would be happy though if Admin Fan could post a couple of threads during his/her night, my daytime otherwise it's okay, I'll wait.
