"Check here on Adam Lambert 24/7 for updates this weekend and next week!!

Will you have the info first?

This place isn't very up to date. Is there something different with this contest?

I live in LA and if I listen to Portland radio on Monday from 6-8 via iHeart app and text to win this promo concert tickets, will this Portland radio station grant me the tickets or do I have to be local resident? In another words, do SoCal residents have a chance of winning any tickets to this Queenbert iHeart promo concert? When is this concert?

Hopefully someone can answer my questions!?

BTW I heard WWFM on 104.3myfm twice while I was out today. This radio station is the second most listen to radio station in SoCal. :)))))

May says that, in addition to playing Queen's classic songs, he, Taylor and Lambert may dig a little deeper into the band's catalog during the tour, which gets under way June 19 in Chicago.
'I think we'd like to get a little adventurous,' he tells ABC News Radio. 'I think we'll have quite a long rehearsal period to try things out. Yeah, we're up for anything…We'll all bring our ideas to the table and we'll try stuff out and…who knows?'
May adds that collaborating with a singer who's as talented as Adam inspires him to be more creative and inventive on stage.
'You just get that extra little kick, which makes you take more chances and be more dangerous,' Brian declares, 'and go for it.'
As for Taylor, he says Lambert ranks 'right up there' among the best vocalists Queen's members have ever played with, which, of course, includes the band's legendary late frontman, Freddie Mercury.
'Freddie will never die for us, obviously, in our minds, but [Adam is] just so good with our material,' Roger tells ABC News Radio. 'He's just one of the great singers, so…I think it's a really great marriage.'
May, meanwhile, notes that that 'marriage' is something fans of both Queen and Lambert are clamoring for.
'I see 'em already on Twitter, y'know. It kind of makes me laugh…it's like, 'We need QueenBert!'' jokes Brian. 'You know, from Argentina, from Tierra del Fuego, from Beijing, I dunno. The whole world wants us to be together, I think, which is great!'

I would suspect that you would need to be within the "listening area" of the Portland station. Same with the Wichita station. That is usually the case, in my experience.

It wouldn't hurt to call the station to ask the question..

I also suspect that there will be stations throughout the US who will be running the same promotion. I'll post here as we hear of other stations in other cities doing this..

If anyone else hears anything, please post as a comment here!! Thanks!

@6:40 PM Hahaha Thanks for sharing. Us Glamberts the world over are helping to make this tour and collaboration more exciting for Brian. Yay for Brian loving us. We Do love him back!

Well the green suit excitement is over, now on with the show. Thank you Brian and Roger for saying such nice things about Adam. Hope the rehearsals start real soon, and that Adam will let us know when they have, and not be so secretive. LOL

With the Europe, UK tour, Adam said 10 days was really short for the rehearsals. So with this tour having some possibly new songs for Adam, I would think they might double that time. Which might put them to June first.

Brian likes "Queenbert" he is unbelievably cool. He is as excited about this tour as Adam and of course the fans. I feel so lucky to be able to be going to this once In a lifetime collaboration. Peace out!

It brought a big smile to my face to see Brian use the term "QueenBert". Glamberts created that term, but Brian must like it.

Thanks @Glitzylady! <3

Two things will be happening in coming weeks:

1. Contests to win tickets for Queenbert concerts

2. Contests to Ultimate Grand Prize of a Queen and Adam Lambert Ultimate Experience at LA iHeart Radio Theatre

@7 12 pm

It is not that Adam is secretive; this is not just his concert. Artist don't always report what they are doing on a daily basis. Brian already said they will be in rehersals. That is a given. He tells fans things on a need to know basis. The man is busy; all we need to know is that the concerts will be fantastic. I love surprises. We do not need to know Adam's every move!
I am still excited about the green suit. He looked so fine!

Anonymous said...

Yes it is also safer for Adam if people don't know his every move. Lot of kooks out there.

Cuckoo! Cuckoo! here

July 19th can't come fast enough please Brian just one Adam song or two :)

@glitzylady...many thanks to Admin and her helpful elf (you) for info. Yes, I am one who gets all my Adam info
here on this site. I appreciate it.

Right now my head is spinning with some of the more obscure Queen songs they may dust off and let Adam bring to light in this decade. A lot of good songs to choose from. Oh I wish a DVD would be made during this, possibly, last tour.

My heart is happy for everyone who will be there for this experience......and I live for some good videos to share with those won't.

Anonymous said...

that should be "those who won't"..
no matter what that time stamp says, I was posting at 3:07 am and generally am a little hazy at that hour.

FYI it's 12:07 pm as I post this..
let's check the time stamp!
