I always find these kind of tweets and comments mindboggling!

Not surprised if the narrowminded mainstreamers or purely country & western music US chooses to be ignorant of the one in a billion voice... but roll eyes every time when reading these kind of comments, especially if they come from someone within the music business...

How is it possible if you are a professional, getting your livelyhood from music business NOT to have heard of Adam before (or bothered to have checked 'his lugns' before, lol).

Are these people living in their own bubble, not wanting to check someone coming from "reality shows" etc., not thinking 'out of the box', just sticking in their everyday rut...until some lucky event or someone giving you a job "awakens you"....to something every true Adam fan knew from the first note... that famous "Mamaa..."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Always happy when someone new to Adam's lugns, pipes and other gorgeous body parts (JUST KIDDIN!) finds this ubertalented singer/performer --- and maybe eventually they discover what a wonderful, joy bringing unique person Adam Lambert is and become fans for life!!!

Here's to Adam & his lugns!!!

Yes Adam Lambert does have the most beautiful sounding lungs in the world!! Better late to that discovery than never!!!

Ps.
Ref.to my post @3:32 I know who and where from Steve Price is and what he has been doing lately and with what band... :)))

If Adam sounds this good in rehearsals; can you imagine how many minds he will blow when the real events begin!! Adam Lambert is the real thing; and there is nothing like the real thing baby!!

That we know!

Let's get this show on the road for all the world to hear what Adam's fans recognized immediately!

Lmao, you are the one living in a bubble. The guy is from the UK where adam is not known at all. Have you heard all the UK reality show finalists from five years ago?

Anonymous said...

5:51, Let's hope the UK gets a new awakening with Adam and Queen this time around. Brits love Queen, and even some hardcore Queen fans had to admit that Adam was fantastic with them when they performed at Hammersmith. Brits seem to have a real issue with anyone from a "singing competition show," even if the person is very good. They seem to think that being on such a show makes you automatically inferior or not having "paid your dues."
Obviously, that's not true. Hope the UK wakes up and sees the talent.

Love the great comments from Steve Price and the costume person. If they didn't know how great Adam was before, they sure know now.

Adam Lambert is the best vocal talent in music today, so underrated and underappreciated. We as loyal fans have known this since we first heard him on Idol. It's about time that so many others will finally get to see and hear what we have been saying all along. This concert tour with Queen has provided the opportunity of a lifetime for Adam to show everyone what an amazingly talented and charismatic person he is. And I hope that a DVD/CD will be produced from this concert for those of us unable to go to see Queenbert and enjoy it over and over again in our homes.

Adam Lambert might just be one of the best kept secrets in the music industry. With his amazing vocal talent and a mesmerizing stage presence, there is just no better performer out there today. Everyone who has worked with him has validated this with their enthusiastic and positive comments as we just read from Steve Price among many others. Hopefully this summer concert tour with Queen will provide many other opportunities and projects for Adam because he so deserves all of it.

@3.32am
seriously...how did you get all that from this tweet???

No where on the tweet does he say, or is it implied that he has never heard of Adam, or doesn't know who he is, or hasn't heard any of his music...

Perhaps he does know all those things, but maybe the rehearsal was the first time he'd had the chance to hear that voice in person....

whichever....he's very impressed, that should be good enough for us.

TV or CD's do not do Adam's voice justice. The quality of his live voice is totally amazing. I think that is what blows people away. They may have watched him on Idol or heard him on the radio, but never experienced his live performances.

I'm thrilled to hear all the praise Adam is getting from professionals in the music industry right now (and this is just from the Queenbert rehearsals!).

OT. I was shopping yesterday at The Grove, an upscale, trendy, well-known mall with my daughters and we went into a dress shop. There's always current music playing in the store. All of a sudden I hear a very familiar tune, dance beat, guitar playing and then the unmistakeable voice of our Adam! It was Lay Me Down! The whole original track from Avicii's True CD. I was grinning from ear to ear and kind of dancing in my own little spot. I yelled to my daughters, "It's Adam singing LMD on Avicii's CD!) You can tell how excited I was...probably made a fool of myself but I was sooo proud of Adam:)))

So cool that you heard LMD! Hope it pops up a lot more!

Read my post @4:01, you regular quick to jump on Adam fans trouble maker!

Anonymous said...

@HK fan
I was mostly talking about all these people in music business who (imo) are 'late comers' (during these last couple of years) to the notion of Adam Lambert's extraordinary pipes... when part of their profession in music business (again imo) should be 'worldwide scanning' of new talent...at least know of them... and especially of those who actually can SAAAANG!

There are some other great voices, out there, but very few if any change over to sing pop/rock. Adam is one in a billion who did. It's a strange genre to change over to, if you have been trained all your life to sing musicals and opera type music. Do we know any other singers who have changed over completely from the way they were trained. This makes Adam stand out, over regular singers who have nice voices, but have never been trained as he has all his life. But even with a superb voice, it still takes a catchy
tune to make it. People with terrible voices make it big, for no other reason than a catchy tune.
This tour is different for Adam, he is going to be singing all hit songs, win/win situation, People will hear him for the first time, because he is singing Queen songs, and no other reason. They are in for a big surprise. This tour will put him on the map, for people to at least know who he is.
And if they were wondering why Queen picked Adam to be their lead man, they will wonder no longer.

Well said @9:38

TO 9:38AM- I agree with you about having a "catchy tune" that often makes it into a hit even though it is sung by talentless, electronically enhanced individuals. Right now it seems that boy bands and young teen performers are the hit of the moment. Who knows how long their music careers will last. But Adam I believe will have longevity in the music business because he is so talented and can move from recording, to tv, to live shows and the Broadway stage. This opportunity to sing with Queen is one of the best things that could happen to Adam and I know it is just the beginning of many other exciting and interesting projects to come. Of course, we are all waiting for new music from him and hopefully we will hear some of it before the end of this year.

Lol, you can't even get my timeslot right! Pfffft!

And you're the one hang up on music reality shows, not me.

Was talking about music professionals, it's their job to know these things, if they follow what happens in the music business. Adam's talent is known worldwide.

Getting anxious, are we?!!
Hands trembling...double post, lol.
The QAL tour is getting closer and closer...

Nobody who understands anything about vocal perfection and real singing cares what was the platform Adam used to get heard & seen worldwide. But he's so far and beyond Idol now, get used to it. You're stuck. Just wait and see what happens, lol!

He was very, very lucky to get this nice gig. But times will be tough for him when it's over. If he wanted to be applauded for vocal perfection he should have gone into classical music.

Anonymous said...

@3:32 When you first typed "lguns" I thought it was an obvious typo...the second time, I thought maybe sore fingers or long fingernails...the third time I wondered if you are either a gun nut or have come up with a new way to spell lug nuts. lol

@9:38 you forgot to Tag and then you give yourself away with your comment @1:02 with your timeslot rant and Pfffft! You're slipping, Lam-my. And you're the one who's always yammering away at non-taggers and anons among whom I feel quite at home. lol

Anonymous said...

4:54PM
Lol, are you nuts, luck has very little to do with QAL, but it has all to do with mutual appreciation of unsurpassed talent, charisma, respect and love for flamboyant classic rock!

He's been there, done that, meaning classical music. Now is now. Intense Forward Motion! More to come. Give it up already with the belittling of Adam! So pathetic!

Join the fun!
Go read Dr Bri's latest tweet!

This is @3:32
Not very nice to point out trivial typos/mistakes, when you clearly can understand that I meant to write lungs (as in the headline of this thread!) Besides I never wrote "lguns" as stated in your post.

The rest of your post is so wrong and in multiple ways. Lol.

10:32 am Why are you assuming that country music doesn't get Adam? Tim McGraw, one of the present biggest stars in country, in an interview, said Adam Lambert's voice was amazing.

Country stars are musicians, they recognize quality when they hear it.

Lol enjoy this queen tour because its the last time you will ever see adam touring. Glamberts gonna have a hard time come fall when reality sinks in.

7:53. Out spreading a little poison are you? Must be tiring and exhausting to haul around a load of doom and gloom with you all the time. Now if this excrement actually sunk in it would be distressing.....but....when you try to unload it on fans of Adam you are playing a losing game.
