Adam Lambert Chats With Fans Before The Queen Show In Montreal!

Adam Lambert left his hotel around 2PM in Montreal on July 14, 2014 with a friend. He saw a group of 3 fans on the sidewalk so he decided to talk to them before his taxi arrives. He had fun and seemed very happy to see the girls.

Adam looks happy and fantastic. He looks much slimmer than it appears when he's on stage. (That's not to be taken as a criticism, just simply an observation!)

Now my curious mind is wondering who the "friend" is...Rufus? I wouldn't think he'd know a lot of people in Canada. Lol

You may be surprised at all the people that Adam knows that fans know nothing about! Thank goodness!! Ha, ha ha.

Adam is so gracious to his fans. Love and admire this kind man so much!!

Adam knows lots of people in Toronto at least - he did Wicked rehearsals here for several months.
Here is a really good review of the show in Toronto last night.

long, lean and luscious! Yum, he looks so good. I decided to skip the negative review. I've read my share, and that's enough. Thanks for posting it, though.

@ 4:46 skip the bad review but do read the comments that follow it - astute and well-written - by obvious Queen fans - very Adam-positive!!
no crap - and very enlightening info about how Bohemian Rhapsody was originally made.

Why give the bad reviews hits? That is what they are aiming for. I don't think they even believe their own negative remarks. I reward the positive ones with hits!

Anonymous said...

For negative review just say LALALALALALA!!!!!:)

There have been a ton of good reviews and only one crappy one. Ah well, can't please everybody. I prefer to award the yaysayers with hits to their site and ignore the the naysayers. Adam looks fab!

Hope Montreal has some A+ roofing contractors 'cause Brian May just blew the roof off their big arena "

I wonder if he is nervous before a big show. I sure would be, but I am not a entertainer, a rather shy person.

An amazing person with an amazing talent. This man will definitely go down in the musical history books. Keep on keeping on Adam.

Someone on adamtopia did a number stat of reviews. Negative reviews are between 5 to 7 percentage that's written by Queen purists. They want Queen die when Freddie died. Freddie begged on his death bed for remaining members of Queen to keep Queen's music alive and make sure is passed on to generations to come. Too bad John doesn't want to grant Freddie's wishes but only to enjoy flow of money in his bank account.

In this 21st Century let's don't let bullies rule the majority's rights.

I always prefer to read both sides, negative as well as positive. I think the negative reviewer is bent on writing it negative from the start; like nothing positive at all other than for Freddie. That seems not plausible because there are definitely times Adam did better than Freddie; in several songs...one of which, Who Wants To Live Forever. Brian standing a little distance on the stage-runway and they move towards each other; quite touching like Adam represents Brian's youth gone; then Brian thrusts his clenched fist into the air when Adam hit that God-note enshrined in the star-shaped brillaint spotlight; so touching again lwl! Brian thereby acknowledges he's still got those youthful guts, partially injected by Adam...my interpretation. But ultimately it was Adam's passionate delivery of WWTLF that slammed it home! Like I've said before, this song now belongs to Adam, not Freddie and in any case Brian wrote it, in his darkest moments. I also thought Adam did better in The Show Must Go On as well, Freddie's powerful version is studio-recorded only; noting he lacerated his voice doing this recording which, perhaps he might have thought he could perform on stage. Yes I do have great respect for Freddie's tenacity and talents! I Want To Break Free, not featured on this tour, too, was a very good take by Adam who had such a lot of fun singing it when he pointed to the audience the timely...I've fallen in love...the first time and it's for real... Killer Queen is quite a change of mood and it breaks away from the more solemn songs; a good respite and allows Adam to exhibit his theatric forte.
I think we need to accept both Freddie and Adam as huge dynamic performers...they are very original and unique and these two qualities appeal to me a whole lot!

I remember Adam worked on a cruise ship and he had to entertain old folks whom he said were half-nodding off as he sang. lwl! I see older, highly energised folks like Spike, Brian, with Adam titillating the keys on the keyboard having the time of their lives...especially Spike the keyboardist...look at the expression on his face...Yea Adam's got a special magnetic field that draws in good consistent older folks whose minds, many a time have greater combustion than the younger pseudo ones whom I call fuzzy-wuzzy moong-cha-cha. lwl!

The picture shows Adam's physique in top form...solid chest and arms, stomach in, straight back, sexy legs, topped with a winsome smile. Adam approaching the fans for a chat might reflect that Adam misses to be one of the ordinary people...it does get lonely up there because everyone else up there, I mean the celebrities are so on their guard, won't have time to just chit-chat; a lot of things swirling in their minds.

Whoa! Choon...That was uplifting! Hey the Toronto theatre acoustics is brilliant...yeah like-being there presence...Adam conducts the whole arena audience...oh my goodness. The system brings out the shimmer in his voice; the audience can sing! Thanks!

There have not been 45 reviews from major newspapers. She is looking at glambert blogs.

Anonymous said...

10:59 you have reading comprehension problem. The link posted @10:07 has all the reviews thus far.

Anonymous said...

Glambert blogs with a couple hundred followers are not the same as reviews from real music critics, Adams reviews have not been great. Adam is adequate but he doesn't have Freddie's wonderful tone or his showmanship,

Adams review tonight said he is a better performer than he is a rock singer. In other words he is not a good rock singer.

Anonymous said...

11:27 her stat is based on all major music critics' reviews by major news publications in every single city thus far Queenbert took place. It's not fans' recaps of concerts. Adamtopia has a separate concert link for fans to write their recap.

Anonymous said...

11:27 that's because the reviewer was drooling over seeing FM on that egg shape screen as he called it. How hilarious that these Queen purists don't notice the big Q screen. Although the reviewer liked Adam's voice and performances.

This is part of that review:

"By entrusting the Mercury role to a younger man, Queen avoided a major pitfall for an ageing group – a regressing lead singer.

As bands get older, they often have to drop their songs by a key just to match their vocalist’s decreased range.

Having the explosive 32-year-old Lambert at the helm forced May and Taylor to be equally as sharp, and both proved more than able to keep up."

Anonymous said...

Major pitfall indeed, if FM was alive their concert music arrangement wouldn't have been this epic. Towards the end of his career life, FM messed up his vocal chords cause he wasn't trained vocalist to know how to take care of his voice. If he was alive today, for a worldwide tour, Queen had to have lots of guest stars just like Rolling Stone tour had tons of different guest stars. This QAL tour has no opener and no guest stars. Just Adam fronting the band and he is AMAZINGLY GREAT.

Anonymous said...

Adam is a great rock singer. Even Brian may set onstage that Adam is one of the greatest rock singers in the world right now to the audiences cheers. The reviews have said that Adam is rocking queen. There are a few Freddie purists and Adam haters who are irrational.

Anonymous said...

The titie in the URL shows it's not worth the read and the hit. It's stupid.

Anonymous said...

Why is it so hard for some of you to enjoy Adam without posting all the negative Freddie comments? Both are great singers. I wonder what Brian and Roger think if they read what some of you have to say about their friend.

Anonymous said...

I don't see how there could be 45 reviews all from objective newspaper and magazine critics.

Anonymous said...

The list of reviews is a little skewed. Some positive reviews were included while negative ones were left out.

Anonymous said...

Yea some really great points raised...Brian says Adam is one of the best rock singers in the world...(3:53). That to me is more substantive than all the reviews; coming from a world renowned guitarist who has hired and worked with several frontman singers and in the business for 40 years. Also (3:05)...no opening acts, no guest-stars just Adam opening, closing everything lwl! I'd just add clowning, fashionista, just look at those platforms! Brian and Roger are very effective backup singers, so no need even for backup singers.
Quite some time ago, Adam said he had embarked on some pure business...well I am still not sure what exactly he was referring to; but QueenBert is as pure as it can get; raw music, no auto-tuning or recorded music except for Freddie's segments.

I am so tired of these people who are so uncomfortable with their sexuality that they cannot allow Adam's voice to rock them. The rest of us are being rocked out of this world by his beautiful sexy insane rock vocals.

Anonymous said...

Yes, this is a successful tour with fronting Queen, no question.

Anonymous said...

@4:35 AM You're skewed.

Anonymous said...

If you don't like the bent of an Adam (or put in any celebrity name) website --- get out.

Anonymous said...

Same was said of Elvis. Adam is the best rock performer in the world today.

Just read this thread. There isn't anything negative written about Freddie. Haven't had time to read other threads yet. Which comments you find FM negative? Care to elaborate?

I've read many/most of the reviews.. and the majority give Adam kudos for the wonderful job he is doing.. and for his voice. The phrase "Adam Lambert is no Freddie Mercury" is technically true. He's Adam Lambert. It is not usually meant to be a criticism from what I can see. Just a statement of fact.

Seems to me the true measure of how Adam is doing every night in front of those arena crowds is the audience response. Having been to 3 shows in the space of a week, I can tell you that the vast majority of concert goers are more than happy with Adam's handling of the music, the vocals, etc..

And Brian May and Roger Taylor seem thrilled to pieces with Adam.. They're having a ball out there each night.. I think that's what really matters.. That the music lives on in live venues for just a little longer..

LMAO!
"Adam is adequate but he doesn't have Freddie's wonderful tone and his showmanship."

You still don't get it. This is not a competition or an imitation talent show! They are two different kind of performers from different eras. Freddie WAS Freddie. Adam IS Adam.

For the job Adam was hired to do, he is MORE than adequate. Adam has a wonderful tone, too! Thank you universe his tone is different from Freddie's. And Adam's showmanship is every bit as awesome as Freddie's, but again Thank you Universe it's totally different from Freddie's. This is what makes it so easy (for any rational person) to love & appreciate them both without resorting to pointless comparisons and hateful, negative or belittling comments.

Why not just REJOICE that when two such unique talents, who never met but who obviously have so much in common (facts that can't be denied!), raise Queen music new hights, together with Brian and Roger this ICONIC music brings generations together and new Queen fans are born each night - as well as Adam fans. No one's losing anything. Belittling Adam won't bring Freddie back.

Vive La Difference!
Long Live the Queen Music!!!

In other words, Adam is one of the most talented frontmen this writer has ever witnessed.
