THIS was my dream when I was younger, my plan to do before I turn 50... So was getting a motorcycle... Then every tom, dick & harry (is there a female version of this saying?!) got their motorcycle @the age 50 or more. .. so I gave up that idea... I still dream about the "hellacopter ride" over Manhattan... and seeing QAL Live! :)))))

I was just in Manhattan with my son a few weeks ago. I had been there in 2001 (just before 9/11) but he had never been there. We went to the top of the Empire State Building and a few other places in one afternoon. He was thrilled to be there and see that incredible city. I'd love to take a helicopter ride over it someday, too. Lucky Adam!

I absolutely hate helicopter rides. Did it once and to mr it was terrifying. Not like riding in a plane. Adam is having the time of his life. Good thing he is so social.

It's probably just how they traveled to Mohegan sun.

I have been in Hawaii and never again, hated it.

There is NO view and experience quite like a helicopter ride over a magnificent landscape. It's even different than a Cessna because it the ride is more adventurous and the view more up close & personal. I took a memorable one over the glaciers and Northern Rockies.(amazing) But, Manhattan?! Now, THAT'S the way to go right there.

I have flown on helicopters more times than I can count - in cities all over the world. You get a completely different perspective of the landscape in a chopper than in a car or an airplane. You remember what you've seen so much clearer. On my bucket list is to fly in a blackhawk.

My husband has worked with aircraft all his life.....but even he wouldn't want to go in a helicopter....not the most reliable form of transport.

@5:07... I totally agree! The memories of what you see and take in are more easily recalled as well. Not to mention the irreplaceable pics taken.
