This is OT but it's the first time I've had a chance to sit down and write a few lines about my concert experience. I should first say that any ability I have for writing begins and ends with poetry. The art of a really good narrative has always escaped me, but for anyone interested I'll give it a try. I would promise to try not to be wordy but I'm fairly sure it would be an idol promise.

We arrived at the ACC at approx. 7:00. I immediately and silently congratulated myself on insisting we have a second glass of free hotel wine, therefore missing the long admission line...it's hot in Dallas in July. We exited the hotel shuttle by way of a shaky white plastic step stool took a few steps and entered a massive throng of chattering concert goers. There was an definite spark of electricity in the air, an energy ,a collective feeling of anticipation. The merchandise lines we're frighteningly long so we opted for the much shorter refreshing beverage line. A few minutes later refreshments in hand we headed off to find our seats. We had floor seats in the back and were excited at what a great view we would have...at least until all the tall people stood up...lol...Since we still had no concert shirts and since you can't go to a concert without buying a shirt...at least that's what I tell my husband...I decided to get my friends to go get mine. After all, I did just have knee surgery and I didn't want to miss anything. They aren't glamberts and didn't want to sit and stare blankly at the stage where Adam would be anyway, so off they went. I then made an attempt to find texbert but I couldn't remember where she was sitting and the ticket witch wasn't have any wondering around. Foiled in my attempt I returned to my seat. The concert started a little late but I didn't even notice we were taking pictures and talking. Suddenly smoke started to come from the stage. The curtain began to wave, anticipation built, the crowd roared and took to their feet. applause, whoops and cheers rang out. Just when it felt as if I would burst there it was... Adam's beautiful voice, rafting out filling up the space, surrounding me, washing over me. Before I could even breathe the curtain raised...and he was there, standing at the top of the stage. I know he wasn't the only one on stage but for those first few seconds all I say was him. No band no lights just Adam and that amazing smile. Adam the rock star, my rock star, our rock star.

It didn't take long to realize we couldn't see very well through the crowd. So, we left our seats and moved back behind the sound mixer. We had a good view from there and we had room to dance...funny how my knee wasn't bothering me then...lol...We gathered quite a crowd back there, all of us singing along and dancing. There we're two rather burly guys arm in arm drinking beer, singing along, and swaying back and forth. They seemed to get the biggest kick out of Adam on the couch during KO...one was yelling go boy just like Freddie!!! We also saw young people and several ladies dressed in animal print..(glamberts no doubt)...couples and families.

At some point time must surly have sped up, because in what seemed like a only a few seconds Adam was decked out in his leopard suit and crown singing WATC. Then it was over. As we made our way out I could hear people talking about how good the show was...Queen was Adam was...and I smiled to myself, I never had a doubt... and since they seem to enjoy him so much I guess I'll be glad to share my rock star, our rock star with them. I know most of you reading this have loved and supported him from the start...and have probably taken some flack for that love and support...well I'm here to tell you it's paid off ...rock stars aren't born everyday but on Jan. 29 1982 one certainly was...rose petal

Does he walk the streets without bodyguards or anything? I would think fans would be surrounding him.
