Adam Lambert leads a cross-generational Queen through the hits at Merriweather

Adam Lambert is the latest in a line of Freddie Mercury fill-ins to front Queen in the last couple of decades. (Elton John, Robbie Williams and Paul Rodgers came before him.)
At 32, he’s also the youngest, and the May-December aspect of the alliance was impossible to ignore during Sunday’s Merriweather Post Pavilion show whenever he stood next to drummer Roger Taylor, who turns 65 this week, or guitarist Brian May, now 67.

Okay, this reviewer got a lot of thrashing from the commenters reviewing Dave's review / Washington Post. First time, I won't be joining in, bashing Dave because he was totally in Adam's camp; he was downing the Queen guys, like Roger and Rufus' drum solo, Neil's bass solo and even Brian the guitar hero got some knocks from him. lwl! I agree somewhat with him, but won't be so fair as I wasn't there. But honestly, I only watched the Queen-alone acts once or twice but Adam's performances many many times. That is understandable because I'm here only for Adam! But Brian and Roger have to be there to provide that special buffer/wind under his wings for Adam fly as high as he wants. But to be fair to Queen, it's magnificent as a whole band. So back to Dave the reviewer, well you've got quite a beating-up already on your blogsite; I'd just throw in some good words for you...I'm on your side / Adam's camp! Your review had good fluent diction, which is important to me.

I came across Adam's tweet on the thread where he was stuffing a chicken-drumstick into another guy's mouth. His tweet had some, for and against feed-back.
His tweet: "This is so fowl. So chicken. Cock. Lol!"
Well obviously he was playing with words and Adam's mind usually a little askew. My interpretaion would be:
"fowl" "chicken" reference the drumstick; also playing on words fowl / foul. "Cock" probably refers to cock and bull / nonsense or just rooster. But ! when it comes to Adam...it ain't as innocent as the way I explain it...more likely, sexual. lwl!

They took the picture off of here, so let's just drop it. Enough has already been said about it.

Sometimes we've got to understand Adam is a red-hot-blooded young man and we shouldn't thumb him down so much; let him be free. When he becomes our age...do you think he will still have this kind of fiery feelings and even want to be photographed like this. I see nothing wrong with it...unless the gay thing is the real problem. Think free makes me happy.

To me, this is more strange...Review: "Adam steals the stage!" I wonder if he carted it away, strapped to the top of one of those huge Queen trucks. lol! Adam, thou shalt not steal...lwl!

It's interesting how so many of the reviewers, who claim to know a lot about Queen's history, continue to make the same mistake about the staging of Bohemian Rhapsody. It was always done with the filmed faces of the band doing that middle part. That portion was never done live. I know many commenters have set the reviewers straight. But it just goes to show how little some reviewers really know sometimes. I'm just glad Adam continues to get mostly great press from this tour.

I agree... don't think this guy did his homework....really....but I gotta say bravo to the commenters that called him on it ....I personally think he was kinda rude to both Queen and Adam...but I guess he called it like he say it .... To bad he was wearing blinders and had plugs in his ears:)
