They are tears of happiness and joy. All the accolades and positive reviews of Adam and the show are certainly well deserved. He's probably all choked up at Brian's love and admiration as seen on the stage.

Adam has a soft heart he's not a hard person. He had to be tough but he very soft hearted. He does look choked up. Bless his heart I do love him. Sue had to comment on this.

I agree with 11:18. He is doing the royal wave and the camera caught a split second of him making a silly face.

I thought he was crying also. This whole tour is an emotional trip for him. What e love about him. He is so real.

Naw, he and Brian just had a private exchange and he's offering up a high 5 to Brian.

I would be surprised if they were not tears of joy. I remember that he teared up after he sang "Black And White" on Idol at that moment when Simon was judging him. Our Adam is a very sensitive and emotional man at times like this... I love him for that!

Exactly. That's Adam goofing with the royal handwave. We used to do the same with a girl friend of mine, giving the royal handwave to nosy neighbors and pretending to be all emotional, lol.

Isn't he one of the youngest male singers to stand in for a former frontman? How old is the Journey singer??? Adam lambert can bring glam rock to the masses.

Adam doesn't ACT like he's crying. This is real emotion. Looks to me like he's trying very hard not to cry tears of joy, gratitude and love. I have always said 'a man is not a man unless he can shed tears of joy or sadness.'

It seems to me this is from the video of the first night in Chicago at the end of the show. He was not crying, but goofing with the royal handwave.

Adam looks genuinely choked up at knowing his great fortune and being honored by Brian, most likely from his loving, reassuring looks to him.
He's just holding back the tears, which must be hard, because of the moment, and because he's very emotional.

Most of you are projecting your own feelings into this. Watch the vid from Chicago. Adam was being funny with the royal wave and making different faces.

All he has been doing is smiling and being silly. No teary moments.

Crying or not, it is a beautiful photo. Such an exciting year for Adam and the year is only half over. So very very happy for him.

This cracked me up! It was in chicago and it was the end of the show. He was waving like a beauty queen does and then burst out laughing! It was hilarious!

I was in chicago also up close seen it & it was a very emotional time I also cried.This is not some thing Adam would take that light----blueeyes

A previous picture of Brian placing the crown on Adam showed Adam's deep emotions on his face; though it might seem a kind of fun thing but Adam felt Brian's recognition and belief in him. He wasn't crying in that picture, but felt deeply, a grimace of elation of being crowned nonetheless. This picture I've seen earlier on and not so close up but it did make me feel then, that he seemed to be holding back tears probably touched by the audience's huge applause for QueenBert and yes mostly for him. Adam merits the crown; I take it in a more serious light rather than just a fun thing though by and large it's meant to be the latter. Anyway, Sexy Red Leopard King on the prowl...watch it Weow! Grrrr...lwl!

Also, how do I know how Adam felt...just go look at that picture of Brian bestowing the crown on Adam and you too will know how he felt...it's on his face.
