Dr. Brian May of the legendary British group QUEEN was interviewed by Eddie Trunk, "the most well-known name in hard rock and metal music", and this is the podcast, which was broadcast today:

"Before Queen took the stage and rocked New Jersey at the Izod Center, Eddie Trunk had the privilege to join Dr. Brian May backstage for this exclusive interview. In addition to dishing on his favorite guitar players and Queen's influence on metal, the legendary guitarist details what it's like to tour again and why the band selected Adam Lambert to pay tribute to the legacy of Freddie Mercury. Also, Eddie answers fan submitted questions and more on this episode of The Eddie Trunk Podcast."

In this in-depth inteview, Dr. May says some wonderful things about Adam Lambert. Among other glowing remarks:

"He is perfect. A great joy of life. An incredible voice!"

"It is a voice beyond any expectation. Some people realise, but I don't think the world at large quite realises how amazing Adam is as a singer. I'm not in any way biased - I would be saying this whether or not we were out touring with him. "

"It's an incredible instrument he has and he has the dedication to be using it and developing it. Just like the way Freddie did, he realises what he has and he is utterly dedicated. In a very enjoyable way - he is he is great to be around, he's fun and there's no pretense."

Just wanted to add that the Brian portion of this fellow's podcast begins right at 45:00 in, and the Adam-talk starts smack at the beginning and then comes back a little bit near the end of the 19-minute interview.

Thank you so much for posting the whole interview. I just listened to the portion starting at the 45 min mark. Wow! Brian is really gushing about Adam and he seems genuinely happy and positively overwhelmed how well received their tour has been. It almost seems like he feels sad that he is a bit too old to go on for too much longer given his aging body/hands/fingers. Still, I have a feeling that they won't stop quite yet considering that there is demand from around the world. After all, Brian didn't say that this is definitely the end. Fingers crossed for an extension!

Picking up on Brian's quote, I really hope that this tour is the spark for a bigger portion of the world to see what an amazing a singer Adam really is. Fingers crossed for era #3 to cement him even further as a once in a lifetime singer and performer!

I am so impressed with Brian's openness about his feelings of Adam! I don't think more perfect words could ever be spoken about Adam......my heart is full after listening to this interview with Brian. Thank you all for bringing all this wonderful news about Adam. Makes for a very happy day !

Yes, I do hope the tour can be extended if that's what Adam and Queen want. It was an eye-opener hearing Brian describe what physical problems he has to put up with after each concert......they are so motivated and having such fun on this tour though. I really think Adam's energy, humor, fantastic personality and incredible voice have made Brian and Roger feel very much re-energized!

I'm so glad for all of them:))))

So delighted that Bri and Roger adore Adam and have no qualms with singing his praises. Bri gives such a glowing recommendation of Adam & his talents. Grateful to have seen them, and for the ability to partake in what's to come.

Could listen to Dr Bri for hours, just like with Adam.

Wish there were a lot more guys like Brian and Roger, I mean men of more mature age but still willing to be open to new possibilities, to take a plunge...
