This is a very nice, meaningful set of photos. The first one expresses the now Adam very well. That innocent little boy seems to say: Watch out! Bang! Bang! Here I come with my cowboy hat, scarf and tassels. Even till today, he loves those tassels as seen in Killer Queen. lol!

The last tuxedo Adam photo is from the China Award ceremony, when they gave him an Award for Best Foreign Artist, something like that. He was looking at something on stage that touched him. Right after that, some Chinese fans asked him to sign autographs in the midst of the show...pretty touching, their show of love for him.
Ahh, I like Red Leopard King, actually made a poem on that.

Now I think I recall that China show, tuxedo photo...Jing Chieu / Golden Globe, their version.

So it's picture 2 that eventually encapsulates much of his life, till now; there may be other untapped intelligences that have not surfaced yet, still latent. Crystalball beams at row 3 picture 2...Mmm what does the fox say...lol!

Adam must have loved his fringed Western vest, it's well worn.....even losing some fringe. I was into Western wear as a small child living in San Antonio, TX. Lots of fringe but never wore a tassel....I always think 'pasties' and Vegas whenever I hear that word.

Tassels are universal age-old adornments, so not necessary Adam got the idea from Elvis' fashions. Adam, being steeped in theatre, probably designed the Killer Queen costume based on his GlamNation purple leather-tassels costume, with the help of his team.

Since I know how much you love substantiation....Adam tweeted his costume designer and stylist Jen Rade and thanked her for working with him on QAL tour. She had explained that his WAG Tour black leather fringe sleeves were glamberted-up with studs, crystals, spikes and gold paint for Q+AL tour.

Tassels come in many forms; they may be in fringes or tied in knobs etc. Nothing wrong with referring to them as leather tassels because they are exactly that. As pointed out above, even Elvis'outfit had that term, tassels, used under his picture...Elvis' arms extended to show the hanging fabric tassels...much like what Adam did with his leather tassels.

Fringe is the macro classification for hanging strips or hair etc. Fringe also has many other meanings like periphery, edge etc. but in the present context, it's the former.
On the other hand, tassels...is micro and straight away we know it refers to hanging strips of fabric, leather, polyester etc.
I'm more into micro than macro in terms of meanings of things / words.

faninhk .... I did not know that, though I am not surprised. My grandmother used it for anything nonsensical. I grew up hearing it. Since I am a verbivore :-) I immediately tucked that word away.....for future use.

Rather apt for your own misinterpretations in this case.

do you actually keep a notebook by your computer to keep tracks of everyones perceived wrong doings to you or just a spreadsheet??
Its really pretty amazing how you can recall so many comments (obviously all against you for no apparent reason)and who wrote them from even a couple of years ago.....
4th time for me you say, and yet it could have been so many more. But I try most of the time to keep quiet and not post....sometimes though, you just go too far and its not always possible.

HKfan.....I do not do spineless acts like you, swooping in to have your kill; the 4th time is just referring to these weeks but yes there were many more disagreements between us...most if not all, started / aggravated by you !! So my point is why do you persist swooping into my path...the best way for everybody would be to keep off each other's space to avoid quarrels and that has always been my mode of operation here; unless it's something that indirectly or directly involves me or this site at large.
For example, the time when you said Adam's backup singers were too fat; whoa! a lot of commenters called you rude!! and also questioned your own looks! I was right there...did I jump in to pour oil into the fire onto you? In fact I tried to calm things down and said I liked their voices and Adam worked so well with them. You are a vulture as far as I'm concerned; always swooping down on me whenever another person has laid the ground work!
As for keeping records...I do that for all things that I might need future reference to and not for the purpose of using it against somebody but will use it if necessary and as a last resort.
