Whoa! Straight away, the panel gets a fresh vibrant outlook; yes new blood is the way to go if AI wants to rock and roll on. Can you not see the difference? The previous panels all looked dragged down; nothing wrong with each individual judge, I do respect judges, they must have something to become a judge, an extremely difficult position because he/she needs to be 100% fair and accurate. And if they are not, woe betide! as seen on AI8 result; which did to some extent influence it to cascade free-fall downward. Okay, now we see some hope of it cascading upward; though just one episode won't give it the catalyst needed. Adam's royal-blue suit reminds me of an AI performance, not sure which. Ahh but he looks such a handsome teacher upfront the class; I even see that ubiquituous ohp/overhead projector which I used a lot of during my working days. lol! I don't think I can pass exams with Adam as my teacher lol! Too distracting!

Jennifer Lopez works well with Adam; remember she showed Adam how to do the duggy-duggy or whatever she called it. Harry seems like an amiable person, good judge. The outstanding judges coincidentally or not, are also from AI8 and yes Adam is an outstanding mentoring judge/teacher.

The key to being a good judge/mentor/teacher is one who is able to perform/demonstrate the actual process and not just talk, no action. Critiquing seems to be a different skill/flair, perhaps based more directly on experience, having gone through the actual process; like in Simon's case, but maybe he can actually sing. lwl!

Oh I remember now; I saw him in this royal-blue suit live in concert here, Trespassing live, not on AI. No wonder it rang a bell so loudly. lol!

@Lam-My, Adam wore a similar blue suit for his "If I Can't Have You" performance back in those days when he was a contestant. It was the performance that "melted Paula into a pool of Abdul". No wonder.

I'm not sure if all audiences feel the same way, but for me Adam's fresh face and stunning looks provide an instant spark of energy for the judging panel. I still really like Keith Urban though. He's cute.

Hi Gabi.....No not this royal-blue on Trespassing concert/Singapore. I got to the Adam, If I Can't Have You video...that one is navy-blue! A lot of difference.

I just think it's amazing how much buzz Adam is getting for being on what will probably be one episode. So fantastic! Hope his episode is a real ratings jump.
