Adam Lambert 24/7 News

Actually realistically, Adam is the most qualified judge for AI; in capability/singing/voice, expertise, qualifications and experience; having done large musical productions such as Hair, Wicked and earlier on Ten Commandments; followed up with AI and QAL. And his whole life since the age of 10, he's been so closely tied to musical theatre. AI is basically musical theatre at its infancy. So why has he not been taken seriously as an AI judge, even when he openly wanted the job so badly a few years back?
As I've pointed out, Adam being only about 6 years as a known artist in the music industry has not garnered sufficient substantial financial backing nor conglomerate connections which are the backbone of AI's very existence; via advertisements, other off-shoot business dealings/expansions.

@Lam-My, even if someone wants a job really badly, that doesn't mean he gets it. Btw, I don't see a strong relation between Idol and musical theatre. Idol is about finding someone who has the potential of becoming an original recording artist. Consequently, I would assume that judges should know how to advise in that department.

@Gabi.....I agree with your point of view and after reading the tweet I think Shoshanna is doing her best to deal with 'whiners'. I get frustrated with Glamberts who always think the world (Am. Idol in this case ) is treating Adam unfairly. Complaining fans reflect badly on Adam.

Gabi.....No I wasn't making a complaint! I was asking a discussion question and I furnished it with an answer to back American Idol why Adam was not selected; due mainly to the fact he did not have enough business backing/connections on which AI operates; they need that kind of financing to keep it going. So I'm in fact explaining on the side of AI which had the right reasons though Adam is the best qualified AI judge. So how can that be a complaint against AI ? That's your own misconstrued conclusion. Goodness gracious...your level of comprehension is way below par!! You have to get the jist of the whole of my comment and not just pick out the question itself !!
Could you please read more carefully before you respond to me the next time ? This is the second time within a couple of days you got my comments wrong!! The other one regarding: royal-blue and dark almost black navy-blue and the jacket cutting was so different.

At first I didn't like the log in. Now it gives me the chance to see who is commenting and I can choose to read them or for a more pleasant 24/7 experience JUST SCROLL ON BY!!!

I don't think Adam is the most qualified AI judge who has ever walked the earth, BUT, I do think he is certainly as qualified as some of the others who have had the job or been considered for the job. Adam's life experience onstage since he was a child has certainly given him credibility when it comes to his opinion on how to deliver a song. He certainly in an expert on vocal technique. And he knows the trends of current music as well as anyone. Maybe he turned down a previous AI judging offer on his own for a good reason. Maybe we'll never know. But it is very true that whining Glamberts do him no favors and certainly taint the rep of the fandom. Unfortunately, the ones who need to "tone it down" the most rarely get the hint. All we can do is be positive and supportive of Adam whenever we can.

I don't think the whiners will ever stop. They never realize how they make the entire fandom look foolish.

My sentence is: "Adam is the most qualified judge for AI" not "the most qualified judge who has ever walked the earth"! No contortion of what I said please.
I have followed all the seasons' judges...and Adam is my pick for best AI judge. All the judges including Adam are highly qualified and experienced but Adam is the only one who went through the entire process from contestant to mentor to judge and that's why he is my pick for best AI judge.

And people who whine about whiners are none the wiser, in fact may even be more confused and always delude themselves they are smarter. lol!

When you are convinced that you are ALWAYS right about everything, you sometimes believe that your whining is fact instead of judgmental irritating carping, correcting and NON STOP WHINING. It is not a good look and does not help Adam.

NAF.....Well it's up to you to re-convince me I'm not always right ! with proper reasoning and substantiation; and if you fail to do that...then yea I am probably right regarding an issue. lol! I don't see a problem; but you simply whack whatever comes into your simpleton mind and of course you won't be able to convince me on anything! lol! And you simply lash out accusations with no substantiation. Mmm a rather suspicious new name on top of that! Oooh-la-la !

Well I got here late saw 18 comments and was gonna offer an opinion on the discussion but think I better pass:)

Maybe I'll just say I'm so proud of Adam and glad Idol ask him to fill in. It's great exposure for him and even better I get to see him on TV, it's a win, win IMO.

Okay, where is the fun (and I don't mean the band!)??? This is so NOT fum or 'fellow fan friendly' anymore.

May I suggest that now on we all address the person we are "talking to" with @The Tag to avoid any misunderstandings and hassle.

And when there no @tag then.the person is just stating an opinion about the same matter, not "attacking" @Lam-My or anybody else im particular.

To express opinions (also differing from yours) should be allowed in a normal way - and without anyone pointing at your grammar or typo mistakes! Otherwise there will never be any 'conversation' here....

Being a fan is not about being right all the time. There is no way that is possible, since we all rely on bits and pieces published, leaked, rumoured, twitter & social media in general, there will always be speculations, interpretations, differing opinions...

Rose Petal, thanks for bringing this thread back to its original topic. I think we're all thrilled that will be a judge of AI, at least for a few days.

Lam-my, you're a devoted and loyal poster here, but it's not always about you or anyone else in particular. Sometimes a comment is just general.

I think Adam was seriously considered for being a judge before, but other people who are also totally qualified were a little bit older and a bigger star. AI is trying to bring in more audience, If you did not watch AI 8, you most likely never heard of Adam. Things are noticeably different , now that Adam had toured with Queen. Since Queen he is considered an A-lister, and is a hot commodity. His credentials were always good, but not enough people outside of Glamberts knew who he was. The timing was perfect for him to judge for a couple of days, and most of all he was available on very short notice. Harry Connick jr, actually is more qualified than Adam, with the exception he was never a competitor on AI, and Adam was.

I just have to say I am extremely proud of Adam. I think all of us who come to this site are big fans. I would hope that each of us feel free to express our admiration and respect and love for him in our own individual ways.

I think it's hard to express context via typewritten words, whether on this blog or anywhere. I also feel that thinking or believing that someone is specifically talking back to you (without directly naming you) can be a slippery slope. It usually conjures up negativity and hurt feelings.
That being said, I enjoy coming here and reading comments. It's been a friendlier place for the most part. And, I agree with Glitzy that we're all big Adam fans.... we all want the world for him.
IMO he is on the right track headed to fame & fortune, and he's doing it in full Adam style. Seriously, has he ever looked better? Sounded better? Holey money the man is on fire!! And I'm loving every second of it!

Glitzy is right. I come to this site to read about Adam and what is going on in his career. Doesn't matter if its about Album 3, QAL, AI or whatever is making him happy. And I love as well reading opinions and comments of all his other fans who come here for the same reason. I find all those who post here to be intelligent, insightful, knowledgeable and sometimes entertaining. I learn a lot and I appreciative all of you. We all care about Adam and want the best for him.

I'm glad to see that we are getting some more active posters here since the tag requirement began. I know we lost some people, but it looks like there new names popping up. That's a great thing! I love diversity in opinion and I esp. love hearing from people from all over the country and the world. The more the merrier!

I just logged in after being away from the computer for a while and was surprised how many comments this particular post got. Really cool that a discussion turned into a love fest for Adam! I have never been a fan of anyone and then came Adam... and oh boy, life hasn't been the same since. I think I don't have to explain as most of us here feel the same. Still, as much as I love and adore Adam, I try to keep it real. He's not a saint, and he doesn't walk on water, and when someone or something gets in his perfectly thought out career path I don't interpret it as a plot against him. I have learned a lot from Adam. He always tries to see the positive and he moves forward and on with great optimism and a good sense of humor. So....when someone tells me my "level of comprehension is way below par" in response to a valid point I made, I'll just shrug it off with a grin. Trying not to get over-invested here.

I loved your post and will try to follow your example. The same person told me I had a "simpleton mind" and corrected my grammar. I will charge the comments to their head and not their heart. Yes, some people are overly invested. I only check in to get Adam news, not to defend every comment. Please excuse the simple post and incorrect grammar.

Well, I usually do not respond to general comments because I'm open-minded and give everyone a chance to speak their mind. And that's why lately, I keep off certain threads away from potential mine-fields so as to avoid squabbles.
I'd rather have one or two posters who actually feel/know what I am saying rather a whole group like now, who think I'm checking on people's grammar or worse, think this is all about me! Goodness gracious...oooh-la-la. I think the person who is back for a tit-for-tat vengeance is Deredan/NAF the Persian who called me a grammar police. lol!
Supporting one another against me! Yep that's the name of the game! not all, some are better informed and can sieve their way through my comments to get its real intention/meaning.
You may support anyone but if you group together to try to put someone down...tells me you can't stand alone and when a storm blows, you buckle or even collapse. I suggest you stay away from my name as far as possible to avoid clashes; but perhaps you gain strength that way because you don't have your own mind! This includes some regular posters here, with their pseudo wisdom and words of advice which I do not need nor care for!
I've said it before, I use Grammar at the last resort, a kind of self defence to put a stop to their abusive antagonism.
I do have the right to refute if someone critiques or misinterprets a part of my comment lifting phrases from it and not because it's all about me! Get it!
One way to avoid clashes with me is Keep off / No Trespassing unless you have sound reasoning and substantiation. I have been trying to avoid some of you here by Not writing on certain threads...but you still come in supposed support of your group!
With lots of uncalled for pseudo advice and pseudo wisdom to make yourself feel you are the peacekeepers! when in reality you stir up the curry-pot in a very subtle way...kind of like wolves in sheep's clothing! Not all here definitely, mostly...The Groupers! ...sounds a rather nice name but try using your own mind...I think Adam once said something to the effect...Think for yourself! I say: Use your own mind regardless who the person is and not just stick tightly and defend your own group. If you can achieve that, then you would be able to move forward rather than moving as a herd of sheep or worse wolf-like sheep. lol!
The groupers who praise and agree with one another even on pseudo wisdom and words which have become so cliched on this site....repeating and paraphrasing same old words...sooo boring! And when they get too bored with nothing of their own, they come picking from my table and pretend they know better or trying to straighten out my comments. And that's where the problem starts! Most times these squabbles are not started by me but like I said I need to straighten out some confused and confusing brains! lwl!

Sorry! Maybe I'm 'dense' but I can't see the need for any antagonism ... aren't we all here for the same reason? To show our LOVE & SUPPORT for our American Idol namely ADAM? I come here on a daily basis ... sometimes three or four times a day ... to read all about ADAM & his latest sightings & catch up on all ADAM news AND to read all the threads to get other Glamberts' opinions ... THANX to you all my ADAM 'outside' world is extended since I can go nowhere but through your eyes & experience what you are all so fortunate to see & do in person! I keep in touch with ADAM through all of you ... not just a 'choice few' ... and I Thank each & every one of you for 'taking me along' through your comments on these threads in each of your 'individual' posts which I find Equally as interesting as the next. No need for any 'in-fighting' ... we have been doing a good job of supporting the MOST (IMO) talented & charismatic STAR that has ever graced the AI stage since the show began! I've said too much so I'll just go back to 'lurking' ... my favorite pastime of the day ... Love 'n Light to ALL Glamberts ...

Every time I log on to this site there's always bickering going on...why? I'm a recent Glambert and I don't think I like a site that always seems to have fans bickering....just support that's all Adam wants...stop attacking each other for every little word...PLEASE!!
