May revealed that awesome fact to BBC Radio 2 host Chris Evans last week.
The Queen guitar maestro admitted that it only took a couple of songs for Lambert to win over any skeptics in the audience, at each stop on the tour.
How did Adam do it?
“We have Mr. Adam Lambert,” May confessed, “who is incredible. He ticks [all] the boxes. But more than that, he’s not trying to be Freddie [Mercury]…
“[Adam’s] an extraordinary singer, with extraordinary range,” May then added. “He connects with the people. It takes about three songs for everyone who has any doubts to go: ‘Yeah! Okay! This is cool!’”
May also told BBC Radio that a tour of the UK and mainland Europe is currently in the works.
“We’ve just had one of the best tours [Queen] has ever done,” he said. “We’ve been to America, Canada, Australia, Asia, and New Zealand. We’ve got this amazing singer, and it’s a good show…
“We thought we’d carry on,” he said, “and do Europe and the UK.”
Meanwhile Adam himself recently revealed to Fox News that strutting the stage each night as lead singer for Queen changed his whole perspective on being a singer.

Wish he would just finish his album and focus on his own music now. But that's just my opinion. I support whatever path Adam chooses.

Me, too, but as we've all said, the Queen gig is giving him a big boost and lots of exposure. All the better for A3. Fingers crossed for good promotion and radio play.

He should have his album finished pretty soon. I don't think the next Queen tour will be before it is, like early 2015, not too early I hope. I would like to see the ad for pre-orders for the album, real soon. Hoping his continual clubbing is after he has done a day recording.

It must be a real headache for the person in charge of setting up venues for a tour. To get venues set up in sequences of only one or two days apart, in different countries. They might have some tentative plans , but it all depends on Adam, his album and his label.
