Last week, iconic rock band Queen sat down for an interview with BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans and spoke about their recent tour with Adam Lambert and his abilities and talents as the group's frontman.

Legendary guitarist Brian May admitted that after just a few songs with Queen, Lambert manages to win over even the most sceptical audience member:
“We have Mr. Adam Lambert, who is incredible. He ticks [all] the boxes. But more than that, he's not trying to be Freddie [Mercury]. An extraordinary singer with extraordinary range. He connects with the people. It takes about three songs for everyone who has any doubts to go, 'Yeah! Okay. This is cool.'”
In the same interview, May confessed that the tour has been so successful that they're currently working on a schedule to bring it to the UK and mainland Europe: “We’ve just had one of the best tours we’ve ever done, we’ve been to America, Canada, Australia, Asia and New Zealand. We’ve got this amazing singer and it’s a good show. We thought we’d carry on and do Europe and the UK.”

Yes Adam has won over so many old Queen fans. When I was at the concert in San Jose most of the people there were Queenies with scattered Glamberts. Adam blew them away! They had no choice! 👍

@ Lambertlust.....I am glad to hear you say so.
Since I've been around almost forever, I have been a great fan of Freddies and still watch his videos with much pleasure. He was unique and irreplaceable, but he's gone.

Adam is unique too, in an entirely different way......I see no problem with Freddie fans now being absolutely
"blown away" by yet another "find"....... what fun there is in following this new sensation.

The acceptance of Adam by even many hard-core Queen fans has been fantastic. I hope lots of them will buy Adam's third album!

I find it amazing that people are accepting Adam, singing in place of Freddie. I am an Adam fan, and never followed or was aware of Freddie, so I have no problem with it. But there are hundreds of imitators of singers out there, that my friends are always asking me to come to a concert. But I usually decline and say I want the real person. Which of course you cannot do with Freddie because he is not living. I think the secret to Adam getting away with it, is that he is a star in his own right, and doesn't try to imitate Freddie. He is also fascinating to watch and listen to, no matter what he is singing. I think one of the biggest compliments Brian and Roger has given Adam, is to say they think that Freddie would really like him.

There may be hundreds of imitators who can do a few selected Queen/Freddie songs, but I highly doubt there are many who can sing the whole Queen catalogue and do the totally unsurpassed superb job of it VOCALLY as Adam has done so far! Any Queen/Freddie fan with a heart & brain should at least be able to acknowledge that much (even if they are "Freddie forever" and not "into Adam")...

SO PROUD OF ADAM!!!
