We posted the Home Planet's Blog "FROM THE FANDOM HANDBOOK: HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE THE COMMENT SECTION" here earlier.. This is a humorous, tongue in cheek commentary on some of the fandom's habits of commenting on mainstream media blogs and articles,  etc..

See the Home Planet blog here:
http://www.thehomeplanet.org/2014/08/from-the-fandom-handbook-how-to-effectively-use-the-comment-section/

And our blog post here:
http://adamlamberttv.blogspot.com/2014/08/from-home-planet-blog-adam-lambert.html

Here is what Shoshanna Stone, of Edge Management, Adam Lambert's publicist, had to say about the subject when asked on Twitter about fans comments on mainstream media and fan blogs.. ** Be sure to read the Home Planet  blog so you'll know what's happening here....

The "do"s and "don't"s of commenting via Shoshanna Stone:

Totally confused, but I'm guessing that this has something to do with someone else performing with Adam and then lots of negative things posted. Totally agree. This collab looked like it was fun and got a lot of attention. It was on Fuse's Trending Ten. First of the tour. Does the quality of the performance really matter? Hip-hop artists do it all the time, with multiple people on the stage, and at times it's awful, yet nobody says a word. We should just enjoy things for what they are and stop judging. Peace out

Um... for those who haven't clicked the link and read the "handbook", it's a joke.

This didn't start with complaints about Gaga but rather with Adam favoriting a tweet about a negative comment on how the media treats Adam. It just happened to be left on the Rolling Stone article about Adam and Gaga.

The comment in question was from someone who is on every website complaining that Adam doesn't get enough media, Adam doesn't get enough respect etc etc. I suspect you have all seen it before.

As @Anonymous said, read the blog .. And read the blog post from here on 24/7..

If you do not read those you'll miss the whole point.

PLEASE READ BOTH. The links were included for a reason :))

The real point that Shoshanna is making is that slamming other artists, complaining about "lack of major mainstream media attention" on the very blogs who ARE posting stories about him, slamming and tweeting radio stations about lack of radio play, etc. etc. does Adam no good..

Commenting on fan blogs, forums, etc., is okay and is a better place to vent..

There are some fans who take every opportunity to make Adam a "victim" on the mainstream media sites.. And they post comments that have little to do with whatever the actual topic related to Adam might be in that particular article.. THAT us what Shoshanna was referring to.. The Rolling Stone article is only one example of that happening.

Hoping this helps..

Don't forget the not leaving nasty comments or calling reviewers names in the comment sections. That can come back to bite Adam as well.

@Anonymous
Exactly....

Shoshanna had more to say on this subject a few days ago but I'm away from my computer right now so can't pull those tweets up a the moment unfortunately.. I'll post later...

Her whole point is: be good fans for Adam. Follow his example... And represent him well..

The passions in this fandom run very hot. We are fans of a person with outstanding talents who isn't at the mountaintop where we think he belongs. It's frustrating and gets people riled up. That's why the tweet that Adam re-tweeted and the reply by Shosh are so important. The best way to support Adam is to be the most positive we can possibly be. It's what he professes all the time: positivity and kindness. Our fandom's reputation reflects what too many fans do: go over the top with defensive, abusive comments, esp. on major media sites. I hope this whole issue hits home with those who do this and, and as a result, taint the whole fandom. Adam doesn't deserve it and neither do the rest of the fans.

This is a very valuable wake-up call.

BTW, the Handbook is very funny, and I hope readers "get it."
