From FUSE TV:

"15 Greatest Musicians to Come From Singing Competitions"

Adam Lambert (Season 8-2009)

"Somehow, Adam Lambert didn't win the eighth season of American Idol. But nevertheless, the singer has proven that he's truly winning with one of the most impressive track records post-show. Lambert has acted as the Queen frontman, scored a recurring role in Glee and dropped two well-received albums...."

I thank Fuse TV for recognizing Adam but think they missed the mark a little. I think should have been number one from TV competitions and top 5 of all time. But then as my friends tend to point out I'm a teenie wennie bit
biased.

I've been trying to get back into the swing of posting life has been super crazy as of late. I know it's no one fault but I tried to post this comment 12 times before it finally worked . So if you don't hear from me a lot please know I'm trying and always here to read about our Adam.

I'm not sure that these 15 are actually ranked, but maybe they are. I agree, of course, that Adam should be WAY higher up there, if they are indeed ranked.

I only watched Idol for three seasons, Seasons 7,8 and 9. I have no interest now, unless, of course, Adam is on Idol in some capacity. No one since him has had the same impact or has shown the same talent level. (I know, I know, PP and SM are doing great, but they are not in Adam's league, IMO.)

I always dislike it when someone believes that if you're on a singing competition show, you must be automatically less talented than someone who "made it" a different way. That's just unfair and wrong. Shows like AI are just one more way to try to get a break into the business. Heck, Frank Sinatra was on a talent show. All artists, got their "break" in some way, whether is was just being in the right place at the right time, or meeting a good connection person or getting that one lucky song. Everyone big got their break somehow. The cream rises to the top. The winners don't always make it bit afterwards, but the non-winners may ultimately become the bigger stars. I won't cry when Idol final leaves the airwaves, but I'm glad it was there as a pathway for the one-in-a billion Adam Lambert to break through.

I LOVE Adam on this clip - his face is a bit rounder and sweeter - so cool in his suit and pointy shoes, so humble and hopeful - and stratospheric voice - I died.

One of my favorite Adam performances on Idol. He looked fantastic, that walk down those stairs and awesome voice! He definitely ruined that show for me, no one with his level of talent since. He is one in a billion. Love him so much.
