American Idol is still a reference point for people who are not familiar with Adam. It is still a reference for Kelly and Carrie as well. Adam is proud of his Idol relationship. Too bad some fans can't accept that.

If it hadn't been for American Idol, probably you, me and millions of others would never have heard of Adam so be grateful - Adam certainly is.

AI was years ago and I don`t think everyone has to be forever grateful because Adam started his career there.

Adam had two albums, one of those was a No. 1 in the US, a successful guest role in GLEE.

Many articles are going with simply "musician", I like that much better.

Many people need a reminder as to where they saw somebody before. People in the UK are much less likely to know who Adam is and this is just a simple reference.

I don't get why fans are personally taking it as an offense.
