Good news, Glambert fans! Pop singer Adam Lambert is finally completing his third studio album. Last week, Lambert wrapped up his wildly successful world tour with rock band Queen, telling his followers on Twitter, “I’m thrilled to get back home and complete my upcoming third solo album.” The last time Lambert spoke about his as-yet-untitled third studio album was back in June, when he told Rolling Stone that it wasn’t finished yet and he wasn’t going to “rush” the project. Now, he’s apparently headed back into the studio to “complete” it. Does this mean that the new album’s almost finished? Maybe. Can fans look forward to hearing new music from Lambert before the year is out? It’s definitely possible!
We don’t have a lot of information about Lambert’s new album, but he did tell GLAAD during an August interview that he’s headed in a “slightly different” musical direction:
I’m working on my third album. I’ve already put in a good amount of time in the studio and I’m going to continue and finish it. I’m very excited. I think it’s going to be really great, with stuff on there that is a slightly different direction [from what I have done] before, which I’m really looking forward to because I don’t like repeating myself. I am working with some amazing producers and I think people are going to be in for a treat.

If you didn’t attend the Queen and Adam Lambert concert because you were “worried” Lambert wouldn’t do the songs justice you missed out on one of the best live shows I’ve ever witnessed. Dramatically opening with “Now I’m Here” Queen and Adam Lambert emerged on stage with a packed Entertainment Centre on their feet ready for a unforgettable night. “Another One Bites The Dust” and “Fat Bottomed Girls” were early sing a longs that united the crowd and calmed anyone second guessing if Lambert would deliver. From then on they all had the crowd eating out of their palm. “Killer Queen”, “Somebody To Love” and “I Want It All” allowed Adam Lambert to shine showing the crowd a cheekier down to earth side of him with hilarious banter in between songs. He connected on a personal level and told everyone how he was just as much of a fan of Freddie Mercury as everyone else in the room and was almost seeking their approval.
Dr Brian May slowed things down with an acoustic set he performed at the end of the catwalk asking the crowd “Shall we sing one for Freddie?”. A touching memorial for the late Freddie Mercury occurred during “Love Of My Life” followed by Roger Taylor taking centre stage to perform “Under Pressure” and shocked everyone with his impressive vocal range. He then proceeded to have a drum battle with his son Rufus Taylor who was playing percussion for the band. But if you thought that was special it was May who stole the show with a 15 minute guitar solo that proved he has still got what it takes. Lambert joined the band back on stage for the last portion of the show with hits after hits filling the setlist. Highlights included “I Want To Break Free”, “Dragon Attack”, “Radio Ga Ga” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”. The real showstopper came in “Bohemian Rhapsody” which was the perfect mixture of the crowd losing their mind, Lambert nailing the vocals, another epic guitar solo from Brian May and vintage footage of Freddie Mercury on the big screens. After saying a quick goodnight they returned to the stage to close the show with “We Will Rock You” followed by a goose bumping version of “We Are The Champions” which perfectly closed the 2 and a half hour spectacle.

 It’s almost as if Adam Lambert knew I was having a shitty week and decided to display his beautifulness just to make me happy. Thanks Adam.
The crazy talented singer was being his happy-go-lucky self last night as he partied at West Hollywood hot spot Bootsy Bellows. The few times I’ve gone to Bootsy Bellows I always hope to run into him and I never do. It makes me sad.
But luckily Adam’s smile from last night is making me happy. I wonder if he’s happy the Queen tour is over?

Well, I don’t think he would be happy because you can tell how much fun he had doing it, but I’m sure he’s relieved. He gets to sleep, relax, party at home and get back to work on his next album. We’re still hoping he gets it out before the end of 2014. Come on Adam, as you said yourself, “#3rdtimesaCharm”.

Adam Lambert hasn't dropped an album since "Trespassing" in 2012. It was a great album, but most thinking among fans and friends is RCA left him down on marketing. Adam has parted ways with RCA over creative differences; they wanted him to record an album of "covers" and even though I think he would have knocked it out of the park and would have sounded better than the original artists, it was not what he wanted.
I keep waiting for news on a new label, but nothing definite so far. He is producing his own third album himself, and hints given by friend and man-with-fingers-into-lots-of-pies' Ryan Seacrest, say the material will be drop-dead amazing! Ryan said us Glamberts (the best fan club ever) will be completely happy as it is Adam's strongest work. Adam himself says it will be post-modern, sonically diverse and honest. He has been collaborating with many super producers and musical elites like Max Martin and Nile Rodgers.
Adam promised his next album would be out at the end of 2014, and I think he said "unless something goes wrong" but he apparently didn't have a crystal ball around to let him know he would be on an amazing, long summer tour all over the world with iconic band Queen. The Queen + Adam Lambert tour, affectionately called Queenbert among the Glamberts is now officially over and he is putting the finishing touches on his album, but most likely it will be an early 2015 release. We will wait!

At what point should a band call it a day? When they run out of new ideas? When they’re down to one or two original members? When they can’t stand to be around each other? Queen has never been a band for such concerns. Since the death of Freddie Mercury (and the departure of bass player John Deacon) they’ve continued on in various forms with various vocalists, sometimes as a one-off and sometimes as something more substantial; George Michael’s rendition of Somebody To Love from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert was a bona fide hit, while they collaborated with Free’s Paul Rodgers from 2004 to 2009, releasing the album The Cosmos Rocks. But something was missing with Rodgers. His earthier vocal texture and middle-aged rock moves didn’t quite capture the aura of Queen. Enter Mr. Adam Lambert. How does he stack up to Freddie Mercury?

Well here’s the thing: it’s tempting to make comparisons between Lambert and Mercury. Two dudes with huge vocal ranges, both with a flair for the flamboyant. Lambert succeeds where Rodgers couldn’t. His vocal style is far more supple and elastic than Rodgers’ forced but classic texture, and his sense of showmanship and movement is far more arena-sized. And most crucially, he remains faithful to Queen’s songs – the vocal melodies, the attitudes, the intentions, the fun. Lambert isn’t trying to be Freddie, but nor is he trying to mess with the vocal melodies. He utterly sells it, and has an obvious understanding of, and connection to, the material. Ever see a singer performing someone else’s material and you just know that they have no idea what the song is actually about? That never seemed like a concern with Lambert.

 This past summer was quite a whirlwind for Grammy-nominated pop star Adam Lambert. He just completed his world tour with the iconic rock group, Queen.
Lambert just wrapped up playing tour dates with Queen in such places as North America, Asia, Australia, as well as New Zealand. He subsequently thanked his fellow band members via a tweet, which included Dr. Brian May, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, as well as Spike Edney and his band, for making the last several months, a "joy" for the pop power-vocalist.
He also noted his excitement for being back home and in the studio, putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming studio album. "I'm thrilled to get back home and complete my upcoming third solo album. #3rdtimesaCharm," Lambert tweeted. As Digital Journal reported, on August 27, they were joined onstage by pop queen Lady Gaga, who collaborated with them on Queen's most successful radio single "Another One Bites the Dust." Queen and Adam Lambert's live concert at New York's Madison Square Garden was outstanding.

I love to write. I love Adam Lambert. To be able to write about him as a contributor to this wonderful blog site is a dream job for me. Previously, I wrote about the object of our affections by trying to explain why so many of us "mature" women are enraptured by him, how he is the number 3 money maker from American Idol alumni despite being a runner-up, how his voice and Freddie Mercury's compare, a pictorial history of stage costumes and most recently his relationship with Joan Rivers in light of her recent death.
I am appealing to my sister Glamberts for two reasons: one is to ask for suggestions on more topics about Adam for me to research and write about that you would like to read and another is to confess a reaction I had when reading about Carrie Underwood's baby. Oh, I think it wonderful and all that but do you know my first reaction: Okay, Adam was number 3 of the AI alumni money makers, now with Kelly enjoying her baby, and Carrie pregnant, the road is getting clearer for Adam to step into number one spot. Was that terrible of me? *grin*
Wasn't his Queenbert tour wonderful? My daughter and I caught one show in Las Vegas, as unfortunately I can't afford travelling around to different states and countries. I envy those of you who do that (you know who you are! I did meet up with some of you for his first concert in Palm Springs and 3 Glam Nation concerts in California). I live in Arizona and hope some of his tours will include Phoenix!

I am 73 years young. I love Adam Lambert in a way I have never loved a celebrity before. To know me is to know I am not an outwardly demonstrative person, possibly due to the German and English genes I was born with. I also like to be in control of my actions, not look silly or foolish and especially want to be deemed an intelligent person. All that went out the window in 2009, when a guy named Adam Lambert auditioned for American Idol.
I love American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and most dancing and singing competitions. I have to admit I did not watch the first 3 years of American Idol; I heard about it though and decided to see what it was all about in the 4th year, when Carrie Underwood, unarguably the most successful winner (to date) that has emerged. Ironically, my favorite that year was the runner-up: "Bo Bice".
I seem to have a thing for second place contestants. Out of all thirteen seasons, the only 2 first place winners I was rooting for were Jordin Sparks and David Cook. ALL of the other years I believe the runner-up was far superior to the winner, but now that the judging system has finally been changed to one that can't be corrupted, maybe that will change.
When I heard Adam Lambert audition I was blown away. He not only had this voice that was powerful, clear, beautiful and controlled (even a Capella) he was gorgeous to look at. In retrospect, I know now that he had toned down his look for the audition and looked like he could have been a heterosexual college kid, when he fact he was a flamboyant, dynamic, excitingly different gay man.
