Whoa! That sure was crazy lwl! I've watched that a couple of times around AI8 when it started surfacing. There's one, Adam wiped tears, when he sang Come Home, I think. Compare the simple clothing and today's goodness gracious fashions, miles and streets different; even his dingy apartment shown on AI8, when paps started trailing him and the landlady came out to protect him lol! Wow, now the security, left, right, centre especially visible on QAL, that big burly security man could lift Adam and run if need be. lol! And his plush residence. Adam did the same thing like now on stage, he went and sang to the pianist...very good pianist by the way. Casting their shoes on stage was so nice and appreciative. On AI8, they cast bras, briefs, panties and even dildos. Yea that banana flying kick that sent the dildo flying back into the audience was really alert and acute presence of mind...while rock-screaming WLL. I like that video; how could he sing so beautifully, simultaneously doing a banana kick...goal! lol! So much progress in Adam's life/career since Upright Cabaret.
Adam has really "come on" Brian's words. Yes, he has improved immensely. He is so much more sure of himself, now and has really matured in his singing. Those were the days that he had to borrow money to pay his rent on his studio apt. Now 5 or 6 years later he is a multi-millionaire.
When people put their shoes on stage, I thought they didn't like the performance. lol! Remember that grand throwing of shoe at a very important person. And when they started taking back their shoes, I thought it meant okay. lol! Adam once said he liked small club atmosphere but now all big arenas / theatres.
I remember this video very well. Haven't seen it in a long time. The show-giving thing is definitely the audience's homage to Adam's talent on that little stage that night. Something they could give to show their appreciation. Yep, our boy has come such a long way. Here's to a future full of success and more great music!
