"When Direct Management Group's first started talking to Warner Bros. Records CEO Cameron Strang about possibly signing American Idol alum Adam Lambert, a new album seemed a far-off dream. The singer had just parted ways with RCA Records -- according to sources, the Sony label was encouraging him to record an all-covers record -- and the split left him looking for direction."
"What did you see in Adam as an artist?"
"First of all, his voice. We all feel that there's a great career there as an artist and as a singer. Maybe things hadn't lined up right for him historically, there's a lot of trial and error in our business, but we felt like he's really ready. He's already on a career path that has its bumps and ups and downs but we felt it was an opportunity for somebody who's really poised to have a great career."
"What's the potential here?"
"I think the potential is worldwide superstar". He has fans all over the world. He's he's got one of the great voices and he's coming into his own as a person and as a man. He more comfortable with himself and his artistic vision of himself and I think there's a confidence and a freedom that comes with having made more than one record."

I am so excited, I can hardly stand it! Such fabulous news about Warner Bros. having such faith in Adam. It really looks like they intend to promote him bigtime and make sure his music is strong. What a year ahead! Gotta go vote on the Ultimate Classic Rock poll.
I love Adam to pieces & will always be a fan but he did make some shitty choices when he was red hot. Plus i think the rise of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, & Katy Perry @ that time overshadowed him. I've only really liked a few of his post idol songs & found a majority of them, well, for lack of a better word - odd. Not very fitting i guess for his immense talent. I guess the Queen gigs are good but i think somewhat distracting to what he really should be doing. So hope this album is MUCH better than the other 2 or I'm afraid he'll be sunk.

I noticed you professed to be a fan just in case someone might think you are not one. But, why would they think you were not one?I wonder if it is because you started out disrespecting him as an entertainer by saying how awful his choices were, to put it mildly! Then you continued tearing him down by saying what a mistake by him fronting Queen! You are entitled to your opinions; and so am I, and in my opinion you sound more like an Adam hater than a supportive fan.
My question after reading all the trash talk about him; is what do you like about him????
I am so proud of Adam; and the good news just keeps on rolling in. People are finally seeing this beautiful talented man for what he is. The future looks so bright. Hope you find someone to your liking that you do have to make over!!!!

If you know anything about being successful in today's music business you would never assert that Adam fronting Queen "is distracting to what he really should be doing" (? how would U know?). And in my considered opinion, his first album, FYE is a treasure trove of original music, and there were gems in TSP that RCA thought were too hot for "the public" to handle. RCA called it wrong from the very beginning.
Adam was always a star and I have always been very proud of him. I loved all his music and can't wait for more! I forgot to say, Adam was an amazing judge on Idol tonight! He was spot on! He's so talented!

I doubt you're a fan of Adam at all. Both of Adam's albums are SUPERB so go find another singer. Whatever floats your boat but do it elsewhere.

As the week is coming to an end we can all be immensely proud: Smashing Queen opening shows in the UK and glorious reviews, label and producer news which strongly hint at a orchestrated effort to take Adam to the next level, and Idol. He was gorgeous, articulate, charming, and honest. The camera loves him :)
This is it. It's finally his turn. We'll miss those more intimate concerts though. I just can't wait for the new album!!
A multi-CD deal! That's a real sign of faith from W.Bros. Now, if they do their job and get his music on the radio, we'll see Adam on the charts where he belongs. What a ride!
What I just noticed when I went back and read what the head of Warners Bros. said was new SINGLES in the springs; not just a new single. That me take special notice; any one else notice that and perhaps taking it at face value???

Now, if just half of his over two million twitter followers bought his new single and following Album; he would rival Taylor Swift!! Just Saying!!

I think Adam's fans have done a great job of supporting him in the past: buying his music, (often in multiple copies), going to his concerts, etc.. etc..
It's the people out there who know who he is but weren't fans before or were fans of Adam on Idol but strayed for one reason or another or those who are discovering him for the first time via all of the promo he's getting.. And hopefully from the future promo this spring that I'm expecting to see when the new music comes out..
I'm excited for Adam with this new label who seems to really believe in him and I suspect will make every effort to support and promote him in every way possible...
The countdown begins NOW!!!!!
From a UK perspective this Queen tour is wonderful for Adam, he was not well known at all in the UK, people are now saying "who is that? Where did he come from? OMG he's wonderful!!!!"

No stream today; disappointed; but listening to the last concert posted on here! Someone said it is being streamed and will be posted tomorrow; I sure hope so. If it is out there tomorrow, glitzylady will get it, I have no doubt!!
So much going on, I can't stay disappointed for long. Ok, over the disappointment already!! Twitter list is keeping me up pretty good also!
