Very nice (AND factually accurate) article from The Chronicle (Newcastle, England, UK)

"Queen at Metro Radio Arena: Who is Adam Lambert?"

Picture from the article "Queen and Adam Lambert"

QUOTES FROM THE ARTICLE:

"He's the singer who's stepped into the shoes of the late Freddie Mercury but how has he landed one of the best jobs in music?"

"He’s the man that has taken over the reins from Freddie Mercury and will be centre stage when Queen arrive at the Metro Radio Arena on Tuesday, but who exactly is Adam Lambert?"

"The singer first shot to fame in 2009 when tipped as many people’s winner, he was the eventual runner up on American Idol that year, losing in the final to Kris Allen."

"But while his fellow finalist’s career has stalled Adam’s has blossomed."

"He had massive success in his native America with debut album For Your Entertainment, which spawned hit singles with its title track and Whataya Want From Me."

"Adam also saw his track Time for Miracles featured in disaster movie 2012 and switched from big screen to small screen to star in Glee."

"And he helped BBC viewers rock into 2015 when he performed with Queen live on the BBC to see in the New Year."

"If you’re still not the wiser allow us to educate you with five stand out Adam moments."

SOOO... they have included FIVE of those "STAND OUT Adam moments" and here's one of them.. go to the article at the link below to see the other four videos:

"Adam Lambert - Whataya Want From Me"

Adam's Grammy nominated single from his 2009 first album post-Idol "For Your Entertainment"

Side note: I'm personally convinced that the scene at the very end of this video is ENTIRELY responsible for causing my old PC to crash: just too much #sexylook from Adam apparently...because right after I downloaded the WWFM video from iTunes.. BAM!!! THUD!!! ...CRASH!!! And voila!! New computer time ...The old one just couldn't handle it.. It's the "Adam Lambert effect" and we ALL know about that :)))

Happy viewing!!

JAK, I remember it well, too. That last shot where he gives us that "come hither" look. I melt every time I see it. Those eyes....

Adam's performance of TSMGO on NYE was INCREDIBLE (haha understatement, much?)... He sang his face off (as Adam likes to say ;)).

Even with that.... For whatever reason I felt compelled to re-watch his execution of TSMGO at the North American 2014 Q+AL tour kick-off in Chicago. This is my personal favorite of Adam's version of this timeless and moving song.

Though there were a few minor technical challenges with the sound crew....
Adam's superb manner of delivery.... Just the appropriate amount of controlled power & intensity...
His keenly intelligent interpretation of the lyrics ... his impassioned tonality... his soaring range (past the rafters and into the stratosphere!).... the astounding 'signs & wonders' effects he added to his delivery... his brilliant translation of this music and it's message to our ears & hearts....

It was stunningly beautiful, stupefying and utterly jaw-dropping (which is exactly what my jaw looked like... the whole time. lol). Goose-bumps upon goose-bumps....Flawless.

...I wont forget it.

I'm soooo pleased that the world is being exposed to his vocal genius and re-introduced to Queen's music in a fresh and extraordinary way. :))))
