I am not sure about feeling disenchanted about people saying that QAL should not have happened. Perhaps Queen has been so ingrained in their hearts and minds...it's somewhat like one morning, someone tells you this is your new Mom or Dad; not so pertinent but something to this effect.
As for the second point on this write-up, that Adam is not able to replace Freddie...in my opinion, Adam has gone beyond that though Adam himself refuses to see it in that light.
The third valid point stated is how could one 'know' that QAL is sub-par compared with the original when these critics/fans have not been to a live QAL concert...The word 'know' has always been very significant and meaningful to me; and I never fail to emphasise it when it necessitates. Then they can turn around and say how would I know since I've never seen a live Freddie concert...yep fair and square but basing it on both Queen+Freddie and Queen+Adam videos, I stand by my opinion. And I always praise Freddie, never doubted his genius though I believe strongly Adam has 'usurped' in a friendly sense, Freddie's throne. lwl!

Freddie vs Adam
I say just let it be
Both Adam and Freddie
Sing...I Want To Break Free
Oh yes, Adam wanted to break free
More than Freddie
You know what I mean lol!
So final analysis
Both are uniquely different
Yet with great similarity
Physically, and their impeccable delivery

Adam and Freddie are similar physically? How?
The Queen throne will always be Freddies, he was part of the team that created Queen. Part of music history.
Adam is a terrific young man, a great showman with an unbelievable voice who has provided Roger and Brian with a sizzling young frontman they seem to adore and who has given them a chance for another go at a fab tour and lots of fun.
But, they are not recreating Or creating history. That song has been sung forevermore. Freddie, Brian, John and Roger lived that history.

I am looking forward to Mr. Lambert's history to be written someday. I've no doubt it will be brilliant. Jm

I will be happy when the comparisons stop. These are two different men, with two different voices and styles of singing. Adam is here now, and Freddie isn't. Adam didn't take Freddies job away from him, he is just continuing the legacy, and this is what Brian and Roger wanted. I think they would punch you in the nose, if you dare say anything about Adam not being fit for the job. He is if anything over qualified, and the better singer.
He has also made Brian and Roger very happy and content in their silver years, and they both love Adam to pieces. They are going to miss him, when he goes home, fortunately they both have some other irons in the fire, so they will still be busy, as will Adam.
They all have a very sweet friendship and respect for each other.

Blah blah blah.

OT;
I was surprised to hear Adam say twice before he sang Somebody to Love, that he is not in love, and he cannot date because he is on tour. He was so emphatic , the way he said it. Is Sauli just a friendly booty call. I could accept that, but to openly say he is not in love publicly, I wondered how Sauli felt, when he heard it. That is something that should not have been said, even if true, from both sides. Everyone knows he took Sauli on a 5 day vacation, we are not stupid enough to believe they had separate rooms. I don't think he is in love with Sauli any more, may be that is why Sauli said he was going to spend a lot more time in Finland now. Possibly Sauli told Adam he could never have a relationship with him , that Adam is too big a star now, and way to rich for Sauli to even consider it. Sauli wants a much quieter life, being a celebrity in Finland is enough for him.

Possibly it was part of the act - introducing the song!
I hardly think Adam is going to share intimate secrets with thousands of strangers. Why don't we just let the two guys handle their own lives and quit building lovenests and/or intimating Sauli isn't famous enough or rich enough for Adam to love. Bunk! Jm

I was never fan of Queen cause they weren't as popular during my time of music listening of late 80s until now. I thank Adam very much to make me buy Queen's albums and enjoy their epic music live by attending three QAL shows. I got to know more about the band members. Their creative process of making music. Brian's red guitar. Their contribution to world of music, not only in classic rock. And other professional and personal aspect of Queen.

You got it wrong what I said, I said It was Sauli who doesn't like all the life of living with someone rich and famous. He didn't before, and Adam is far more famous now. Whether it was a secret or not he said it, and he didn't have to, it should have been kept secret, if true. He absolutely didn't have to be stating remarks, about his love life or lack thereof. Sauli has been good enough for him when he wants a visit from him. I am sure Sauli will never plan a life with a super star, and he will keep his mouth shut about who he loves or not. He has more class than to say that publicly.

Adam isn't always tactful, he has put his foot in it a few times. He probably thought nothing of saying he wasn't in love now. Adam usually is in lust, rather than in love.

I'm happy to see Queen fans are defending Adam. They even trended something about Adam on Twitter couple of days ago.

You do not know them and what kind of friendship they have!

I strongly advise you to take care of your life. They are adults and they knows best what they need and want.

Excuse me ... where is it etched in stone that ADAM "took" Sauli on a 5 day vacation? Any pictures or articles to verify this statement? Did Sauli tell anyone about it ... or ADAM?? This is all "news" to me ... where's the PROOF of these statements?? Unless I hear it verified from either ADAM or Sauli ... see pics ... it's just more idle gossip as far as I'm concerned. "Believe nothing you hear/read & only HALF of what you see" ... good words to live by ... at least I do!!

@Tess4. It's better not to respond to trolls. Let's stay on topic please.

I love the fact that Queen fans who attended these shows are defending Roger's and Brian's decisions of having Adam to perform and give homage to catalog of Queen's tracks.

@8:11 AM

Great advice. No point in engaging in one or two possible trolls or troll trying to demean Adam, and who Sauli would not touch with a ten foot pole.

These people or person know nothing about the life of either of these men; and it will stay that way I am sure!!

LAMBERT Outlaw, keep up with the news, Adam and Sauli went to Mexico, for 5 days over the Christmas holidays. Adam has pictures of some of the sites on his IG and Sauli also has pics on his IG. There is also a pic together when the 2 of them went to a bar one evening. On Dec 26th they each took a pic of each other on the same spot on Runyon Canyon. Sauli has spoken of the ruins they visited in Mexico.
It apparently was a secret until they came back and posted the pictures. By putting it on their IG accts. it made it public knowledge. In fact the comments on this site , if I remember correctly, went over 230, very high for one day.

There has not been any threads over 200 posts in ages. With or without Adam/Sauli news.
You can be friends and love someone without being in love. js

On topic:
Wish I could read the whole text of this Andy guy. There's no link and I'm not on FB. Can anyone paste it here?

Adam was too public with how much he loved Sauli in the beginning and it all went sour and had people speculating ever since about his love life. He got burned big time so have no doubt he will never admit to being in love again. To me the whole looking for someone to love is an intro into the song, means nothing in his real world. These boys have a rather complicated relationship which is being kept under wraps.

@10:38
My mistake, I Googled it, it was only 135.
I agree they do have a complicated relationship, which is usually kept under wraps. I don't believe it went sour, Their work schedules were such, that they didn't see each other so much, even though they were still living together. I don't know what you are referring to about Adam getting burned big time. They still have a high regard for each other, just last week Sauli told a reporter in Finland, they are still good friends. This year 2015, they are both working a lot. Sauli works as hard as Adam at his career. Sauli and Adam are both really loved in Finland, together or apart.

I hope that Adam does find someone to love. He seems so happy in his professional life on this tour with Queen, a new record label and the soon to be released third album. It would be lovely if he had someone in his personal life (besides family and close friends) with whom to share his success and happiness now. Adam is turning 33 at the end of this month and a loving, mature relationship for him is something I would like to read about rather than all these pics of him with young guys, hanging out in clubs, drinking. I know it is none of my business what he does in his private life, but whether it is Sauli or someone else, I just wish him happiness in a meaningful, loving relationship with someone who understands and appreciates him.

Anon 3:32 :)....

I do understand your post and sense that you're intention is kind-natured from your heart.

I've had a thought or two about the fulfillment a person can experience when they are blessed with love from a life-time soulmate (the joy and intimacy it brings...and yes, also the complication ;))... along with the completion that having children (or adoption) can bring with that soulmate.

Because I know that love.... of course I would want Adam (who we care about) to experience that intimacy (he has said that he desires that greatly) and deep love - possibly even children, if he so chooses - some day as well. I would think many of us has. No shame in that :))

Adam has also said himself that he'd like that someday....when he's ready.

I just thought I'd comment before your well-intended post possibly gets misunderstood by any less than kindly intended opportunists who would take a crack at it. Sigh. ;-)
(I would hope not)

... I just know what you meant. :)

At the end of the day... I believe we all want the best for Adam... and want him to feel loved, accepted and fulfilled.

Here's to Adam's future success - both personally and professionally - and realizing & achieving his heart desires...even true love... as he is ready. <3

I think we need to keep in mind that what Adam says during a show should not necessarily be taken seriously. He is acting while he is performing. What he says between songs is "filler" in order to communicate with the audience. It doesn't mean that he is pouring out the truth about his life and his relationships.
