Okay, now it's about chasing; let's see, chase the original which is high lol! Actually, this album/song title is very open to a lot of interpretations. My take is his original rockstar dream that he has been chasing, that gives him the high; even as young as ten. He said he always felt elated when they propped him up on a table and told him to sing; if I remember, they threw him some coins lol!

Chasing the original high, could be his answer to all the questions about him and Sauli.
He is looking for the original high he had with Sauli. His second album had overtones of Sauli in his life on several of the songs. Sauli knows him better than he knows himself. You can read all the lyrics, and they have special meaning to him. My favorite, Broken English, also Underneath, Outlaws of Love, Runnin, Nirvana Never Close our eyes.

My daughter thinks that "THE ORIGINAL HIGH" is Adam's longing or the chasing of his "BASHERT", who would be his divinely predestined soulmate that the Universe has for him somewhere out there in this massive host of humanity. Adam has always said that everyone deserves to be loved and in love. He has searched for that, for years, he is still chasing his original high, love is so elusive sometimes, and so hard to keep when you do find it.

This thing called love that makes one high/happy yet elusive so we chase it and Adam seems rather embroiled in the chasing.

How can fans forget about or ignore the high of performing. That is what Adam is doing and why he is putting out this new album, to be able to perform. We know this has been a life long pursuit. It's that simple.

The high of singing in front of an audience sounds much more logical to me for Adam, though we each probably have something that is that original high for us such as our children or painting or hiking.

I just love how he keeps us all guessing... analyzing... buzzing.:D

I think Adam is so immature person, that he doesn't understand the long term relationships can not be full of "the original high" forever. Inevitably that original high fades gradually and an everyday life begins at some point in every relationship...

Yea, I like an open discussion where all possibilities are welcomed or disputed logically. This is my high ! lol! Apart from coming here for Adam per se, I enjoy open discussions, because when we brainstorm, something can be thrown up; doesn't really matter if it's right or wrong at this stage as only Adam knows what on earth his original high is referring to; there are myriads of originals and highs...we might have hit it though. lol!

I think you're a little bit delusional... I`m writing here for the first few times and I just say how I think Adam probably means that original high. Your opinion is unlikely to be the only true.

Maybe Adam is chasing again the 1st high he ever had, and calling it his original high.

I think it has to do with when he was a very young man; everything was fresh and new and he discovered that entertaining people was the thing he loved most. I remember him saying as a young man on stage; "If I Could Do This For The Rest Of My Life, I Would Be A Happy Man"!

He now seems like a very happy man now!

We all have our original high experience of joy in life! Never to be captured quite the same again; that's why they call it original! Adam knows that; and that is what the song is probably all about!!!

I also believe that the original high is the name of Adam's first single release; and it's going to be fantastic! Can't wait to hear it! Grammy nomination here we come!!!!

Yes, and the first high can be about any experience that he has had for the first time. I also thing it has something to do with his entertaining people!

Adam's original high is singing and performing. You can see the joy he has while doing it. And that is a good thing.

Unless Adam gives more clues, we have no idea what he is talking about. It's always fun to discuss it and speculate. In the end we just have to wait til April for the first single, and the summer for the rest of his story, or album. He was nominated for a Grammy once, and that for him was a very high moment and romantic, (he was with Sauli at the time, he was woken up to hear the news)
I am sure he might be chasing that dream still, to actually receive one. JMO

I'm hoping for a retro type song about chasing his dream as a rock star. I think he did the personal thing in Trespassing and has said this is a new direction.
