Sam Smith's video is great! Can't wait to see him at the Grammys Sunday!

I have a hard time understanding him. His speech impediment trips me up at times. It is a touching video.
I wish him luck at tha Grammys.

Adam is very generous with his supportive tweets to others artists. My immature, selfish side wants to see him get some Twitter-love back from some of the artists who he praises. JAK, I'm kind of with you about Sam. I think Stay With Me is a really good song. I wish him luck. He just doesn't have that spark for me. He sure did shoot up to the top awfully quick. It's all about that one hit song, people. It's all about that one hit song.

Well my immature selfish side says, "no one compares to Adam Lambert! Also it is more than about that one song; it is about RADIO PLAY. Adam has been treated so unfairly. I hope this time around, someone will have the guts to play him!!!!

6:30, I agree with what you said. Radio play and "one hit song" are really one and the same. I may be wrong, but I don't think that Sam has had a long history of performing. Correct me if I'm wrong about that. But when you get that one hit song, you just zoom right up there. With MM as executive producer this time around, Adam should get better high-profile promotion and a better chance at airplay.

I posted this on a different thread, but once again, I wonder just how many people (performers and audience) who will be at the Grammys this Sunday, have ever seen Adam perform live, solo, or with Queen? Probably very few. It's hard to believe that he is not on a lot more people's radar. QAL has been a huge boost. The key is promotion, airplay, and natural acceptance by listeners. It's that one song that breaks through that is the key. Hope MM can help make that happen.

SS and Adam are both gay men but have very different personas. Also, maybe, just maybe, Adam helped pave the way for Sam to be so readily accepted. And then again, there's "the song," which trumps everything else. "The song" got Sam performing on the Grammys right out of the gate. Adam's time should come, too.

Sam may win a new artist award but I'll be surprised if he wins anything else after the plagerized songs scandals. Sam has been around for a couple of years but having his best known song in the US settled for plagerizing is not any way I would want to be remembered, or want Adam to be remembered.

Sam smiths Stay with me doesn't sound a damn thing like I won't back down by Tom petty. Just a way to steal money & discredit a great artist. Sad the world we live in.

And I bet you Tom Petty's song is a complete rip off of 10 other songs. Nothing is original. Everything is a rehash of something else wether intensional or not.

Same thing with Lady Gaga, Madinna, Elvis. This has been happening forever. Anyone that had any kind of success there is always someone who wants a piece of it claiming they came up with that idea 1st.

It would not have been that easy to win the case if not true! If you have a case and know that you are in the right; fight!! Must have been a very strong case against SS and company.

They didn't even go to court over Stay With Me. Sam and his team didn't fight it, just forked over co-writing credits and a percentage of royalties. You don't do that if you think you were in the right.

Adam liked Sam Smiths video, as he said very touching. This is not about comparing Sam Smith to Adam. BTW Sam is nominated for 4 Grammy's I think, and he just might get them all, because he is new on the scene. Adam never begrudges any one else's success, far from it. Now some of you, sound like some of the die hard Freddie fans, cannot except any one new. It is going to really be hard to watch this Grammy show; knowing the best entertainer in the world is not there. Especially after watching the Queen and Adam tour videos over and over again. It will be very hard!

Adam is very wonderful and gracious. I have said nothing against Sam Smith; more power to him.

But, fans have a right to express their opinion. I am not as gracious or kind when it comes to Adam! I am not his clone; just a loving fan.

I do also think the most talented entertainer of this generation will be missing from the Grammys AKA ADAM M. LAMBERT!!!

Radio stations and the internet was making fun of Stay With Me sounding like I Won't Back Down and singing the opposite lyrics. It was very obvious.

Adam will have his turn at a Grammy Award some day I'm sure. He has nothing that could even be nominated this year. No need to begrudge the show in the meantime. Just comes across as petty.

There is no need for feeling sad that Adam isn't being nominated for any Grammys, he has had no new music for over 2 years. What would he be nominated for? I am hoping there is a change coming, with his new album. Hope he will release several singles from it too. People will know him this time around. I want to hear his name come up on the nomination list in December. Just sayin.

There seems to be no consistency to deletion around here. Totally depends on the admin and seemingly their person feelings.

I think we all feel some frustration. Here's Adam, with that voice that cannot be denied. A voice like no other. Good looks, personality, humor, smarts. Great music recorded and performed after six years. One Grammy nom (GREAT!), no Grammy performance or wins. It's true that SS isn't the only one who's gotten a slew of noms so quickly after coming on the scene. The Grammy people not only nominate those who are good; they also nominate those who are popular. (That's not to say that SS isn't good.)

As Adam has said, it's not all about the voice. A hit song becomes a hit regardless of how well it's sung or even how well it's written. A hit is a song that GETS HEARD by the public and somehow catches fire. SS got that fast and early. Adam is congratulating him. He's a gentleman and supports others.

Still frustrating. Hope TOH has a couple of hits in it.

DRG my comment was that Sam Smith should maybe try simulating oral sex on stage at the Grammys like Adam did at the AMAs because it seemed to go over so well for him. Just a thought.

It was at the AMA's which is not as prestigious as the Grammys.

He grabbed that guys head and jammed it into his crotch. And then did it again later in the performance with one of the female dancers.

9:53, Wouldn't work. What people write doesn't always fit into a set of rules. Mean comments can look technically ok, but they can be really inappropriate. I think the admins here use pretty good discretion.

With all Adam has done since the AMAs, you'd think reasonable people would just finally let it go. He's really moved on and proved himself in many ways. Is he like Sam? No. They are two very different people and that's the way I like it. I just pray that someday, somehow, the stars will align and Adam will perform on the Grammys and blow the roof off the place in a totally positive way.

Why are so many of you ashamed of what Adam did. He isn't and has said many times that he doesn't regret AMAs. Cluch those pearls tighter why don't you.

I think Sam Smith deserves the Grammy nominations and attention he's getting. I love both his songs that I hear on the radio, and am thinking about buying his album. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Adam gets nominated for at least one Grammy next year after his new music is out. He's got too much going for him to just fade away. All the right ingredients are there.

I am not proud of Adams actions at the AMA's. Don't know if Adam is proud of it or not, and of course he is going to stand by what he did. Adam will NEVER say he was wrong, and he continued with the kissing a guy right through his next tour, just to prove he could. You NEVER say Adam cannot do something, he will go right ahead and do it, over and over. Adam is a great guy, but he has a stubborn streak. It's part of his personality. A lot of us have it too. Not every one is perfect even Adam.

He said he found Sam Smiths video touching. I listened to the lyrics and it is very touching. Sam has won many awards in UK, and he has been in the business since 2007, so may be it is his turn at the Grammy's. Adam says in his bio that he has been in the business since 2009, he doesn't count anything he did before that. So Sam has been out there 2 years longer than Adam.

Interesting that people are all about Adam's past performances, how long he has been so great or so sexy until it comes to the controversial one that may have put a damper on his career. Then it's let the past go. Either they all count or they should all be let go.

Adam is in the mode for getting his first single and video out. He liked Sam's song and video. I do too, it is touching and very sweet, and sad too. The video is very simple yet tells the story well. Adam get a bit too involved with getting the story of his video out, it can be complicated, more is not always better. Simplicity can work wonders, and Sam caught that in his video. Adam said Bravo, I second that.

10:31 AM, you don't quite have your facts straight on Sam. He was about 15 years old in 2007 and in a youth musical theater production. His recording career started in 2012 (with a feature on another group's record.) Sam has been out there way less than Adam. Adam isn't counting youth musical theater like Sam is.

Just going by what his bio said. You are right about his recording career. He is 22 and very young to have made so much progress in his music. Adam took some time finding himself from 18 to 28. Every one is different. I think Adam is at a point in his life now, where he is much more confident, and Queen really helped to make him feel this way.
Adam has always been a great singer, but that isn't everything. It was only in this last week he has said he has more confidence in himself, since he has been singing with Queen. just sayin

Dee R Gee, I think there really needs to be written rules so the admins can refer to it themselves. It could be written as a rule that comments that appear to be written with an intent to cause disruption are subject to being deleted. Admin Fan deleted my comment of LOL to a long thread of ridiculous trolling and arguing yet only my LOL was deleted. She would never respond to me why it was deleted or why the trolling wasn't. Recently glitzylady deleted something she said she disagreed with somebody about. If there were written guidelines we would all have them to refer to and know for certain what was acceptable or not.

To me, the "AMA" Adam-basher commenter sounds strikingly similar to the same person who spouts off on the live stream chats. Interesting timing; as this is happening during the concert here as well. Perhaps he isn't getting enough attention in the stream chat because folks are becoming wiser and blocking him.
I truly don't intend to sound negative or vitriolic..... I apologize if my comments are an unwelcome contribution. But, I will admit that on an Adam fan site.... I believe folks don't want to experience this. Bashing Adam just doesn't fit. :(

Just goes to show what "that one hit song" can do regardless of how young you were when you started performing. Some great singers go for a lifetime without "that one hit song."

11:25, I think the admins could write a "user policy" if they want to. I've seen them posted on other sites sometimes. It wouldn't hurt. Sometimes it's a real judgment call when it comes to deleting a comment. Trolls don't care about those policies anyway, and if they're kicked off, they just pop up again. I know it's frustrating. I get sick of it, too.

Spending time popping around on various Adam related sites stirring up negative experiences as a way to pass time is actually pretty sad. I hope this person gets the help he seems to really need.

On a counter-intuitive note.....

The fact that Adam is obviously highly relevant, that exceptionally talented.... Gaining this much (even this type of) attention.... He's not capable of being ignored or forgotten (In particular, from trolls)....

Prayers and peace to Adam, who has been sick today, and still did the concert. They cut some songs. He tweeted thank you for his getting better. Said he would keep hydrated and get plenty of sleep.

After reading P2's legal action, I think Adam's then agents too didn't work well in best interest of their client. They did as much as to benefit the machine AI and it was tons evident. It was sort of like a win/win situation. Sort of help out the client as much as the brand AI gets promotion. The AMA was too early of award performance for Adam that finished AI tour in September and in a rush finished up FYE in less than three months and without any other live performance of his songs, he was right away plugged into AMA. Adam handled the situation in my opinion very well with all the buzz that surrounded his performance which BTW I personally loved it. Yes, too OTT for mainstream. But his performance wasn't the only OTT performance of the night. He proved himself after that as a great performer. Garnered a Grammy nomination. And now performaning with one of the greatest band of all time and his third album is on its way.

Sam Smith is using the time, 2007, since he's been on stage as an active performer. In that case Adam has been on stage since 1992 as an active performer. I read Sam has been an active recording artist since 2012.
